182. Definitely a Pervert!

This seafood buffet is located on the second floor hall of the hotel.
A row of long tables is filled with all sorts of buffet food, with square tables evenly spread around them. Even though it’s mealtime, there aren’t many guests in the hall; it looks like only about half of the seats are occupied.
Before sitting down, Lin Nan has completely forgotten her earlier nervousness and is now excitedly examining the food on the long table.
Lobster! Abalone! King crab legs! Salmon sashimi! And a chef grilling steaks right on the spot!
While most of the food is just your regular fare, there are some seafood items that Lin Nan has never even seen before. And today, she can take as much as she wants! Unlimited eating!
She’s had all-you-can-eat before, but those were mostly barbecue buffets costing thirty or forty bucks, or set meals at steak restaurants that included a buffet. But she’d never been to one with such high-end ingredients.
She lets out soft gasps now and then as her eyes fixate on the lobster.
Even though she lives in a coastal city in the south, lobsters and king crabs are still way too posh for her. The only time she had lobster, she only got a piece the size of a ping-pong ball at a banquet.
“Let’s sit down.” As they reach their reserved table, Zheng Qian smiles at Lin Nan, who looks as if she just walked into a treasure vault. He finds this boy utterly adorable.
“Aren’t you going to get food?” Lin Nan has totally forgotten her original purpose for being here, her mind swirling with food, a grin plastered across her face.
“I’ll get it for you. Want a drink?”
“Cola, please!”
Even though she’s more conscious of the stares since becoming a girl, everyone in the restaurant is too busy munching on their own meals to pay attention to Lin Nan. And let’s face it, she can’t just hide in her dorm all day, so she has to endure some crowded places, no matter how much she dislikes them.
Curiously, she scans the other diners. They’re not all in formal wear as she imagined; they’re mostly just dressed neatly, which makes her, a first-time visitor at a fancy buffet, somewhat relieved that she fits in.
Before long, Zheng Qian returns with two plates piled high with seafood. He had carefully noted what Lin Nan seemed to be interested in when they walked over.
In the middle of the table is a little hot pot, and Zheng Qian tosses some raw ingredients right in there. He also cuts half of a steak for Lin Nan.
His face beams with delight as he watches Lin Nan eagerly pick up her chopsticks, and he feels an inexplicable happiness bubbling inside him.
Although his affection has greatly lessened since the magic wore off, the remaining feelings still urge him to get to know Lin Nan better.
At least after spending the day together, he finds Lin Nan simply adorably clueless.
Being greedy and wanting free stuff would be disgusting if it were an oily uncle, but for some reason, it’s just downright cute in Lin Nan.
“Here’s your cola.”
Zheng Qian hands her the cola. He doesn’t eat anything himself, just fixated on the sight of Lin Nan, who obliviously shovels an entire steak into her mouth with one hand while holding a giant shrimp with the other, all while eyeing the king crab legs in the hot pot.
No matter how you look at it, it’s adorable.
He can’t help but smile and thinks something must be wrong with his head.
While he’s a fan of anime cross-dressers, he’s never been interested in real-life cross-dressers, looking down on those cross-dressing dudes.
But who would’ve thought he’d end up smitten here?
Maybe the baby should be called Zheng Sheng after all; Zheng He sounds too much like a eunuch, which is just bad luck.
As for how to have one… adopting one could work, right?
After finally tackling the steak, Lin Nan is about to fish for a crab leg when she suddenly looks up and catches Zheng Qian’s not-so-innocent gaze. She shudders slightly, feeling suspicious, and asks, “Why are you staring at me?”
“I’m a guy, you know…” The moment she says this, Lin Nan feels a wave of shame, unable to muster the earlier bravado.
“I know.” Zheng Qian rests his chin on his hand, still grinning as he continues to stare.
Lin Nan feels her scalp tingle under his gaze, an awkwardness washing over her, and her appetite disappears. She hurriedly downs a few gulps of cola, face flushing as she stands up, “I’m going to the restroom.”
“Do you want me to show you the way?”
She pauses, glancing around and not spotting any signs for the restroom, and reluctantly nods.
Speaking of which… which restroom should I go to?
As Lin Nan heads toward the restroom, a sudden question pops into her mind.
Since Zheng Qian likes guys, will he be turned off if I go to the ladies’ room?
Lin Nan thinks Zheng Qian’s feelings for her still stem primarily from the residual effect of that charming spell, plus the curiosity of mistakenly believing she’s male.
Arriving at the restroom door, Lin Nan glances back at Zheng Qian, who’s standing with his arms crossed waiting patiently. She steels herself and walks into the ladies’ room.
Is this the first time I’ve ever been in a ladies’ room?
It doesn’t differ much from the men’s room, except it smells a bit stronger and has only individual stalls, making it feel a bit spacious.
There are quite a few women in the restroom, and even a line formed. Lin Nan blends in without anyone paying her any mind, blushing as she keeps her head down, quickly choosing a shorter line.
Truth is, she doesn’t even want to go, she just feels like it’s time to change her pad since it’s been a while.
After all, without magic to constantly purify her body, bl**d can still escape, and if she forgets to use her magic, she might just sit there with a red b*tt.
That would be so embarrassing, it would put her to shame!
After what feels like forever, Lin Nan finally steps out of the restroom, her cheeks still flushed as she glances at Zheng Qian’s expression, only to find he doesn’t seem shocked at all by her entering the ladies’ room.
Definitely a pervert!
She silently curses him while putting on a slight smile, sarcastically asking, “Zheng Qian, doesn’t our school have any rules against teachers dating students?”
“Is there? I’m a student too, a second-year grad student.” Zheng Qian immediately flips the script upon hearing Lin Nan’s doubt, “I’m basically your senior, so just call me Zheng Bro from now on, how about that?”
“???”
Lin Nan is left utterly confused, never realizing grad students could moonlight as counselors.
Here she was thinking Zheng Qian was just youthful-looking. Turns out he’s practically the same age as that drab thirty-something counselor from the next class!
So he’s not that much older than her?
Now that she’s finally out of food mode, Lin Nan decides to kick off her master plan for the day!
First, check on that available rental apartment, then she’ll make sure that annoying Zheng Qian isn’t interested in her anymore!
