Lin Nan had a pretty decent lunch, all thanks to her generous roommates.
So, she decided to let Chen Yao, the traitor who sold her out, off the hook. She bought herself a new bamboo mat at the supermarket and returned to her little den with a bit of a gloomy expression.
She’d never be able to go back there again.
She sighed. Her roommates treated her well; if all went according to plan, they’d be lifelong friends after graduation, those rare kinds of brothers for her. But then, this unexpected situation happened.
“It’s all Lilith’s fault! She deserved to get stabbed in the back!”
As she cursed, she stepped out of the stairwell and looked up to find the black cat sprawled in the hallway, looking utterly lifeless.
“Cola?” Lin Nan was genuinely surprised. “How did you get out?”
“Meow…”
Don’t pretend you didn’t hear me cursing you!
But Lilith wasn’t even in the mood to care. She lay there, not even wanting to move.
God knows what she had gone through in that one hour after leaving the house.
“Hey, you’re so dirty…” Lin Nan noticed the foul smell wafting off Lilith as she got close, recoiling in disgust and taking two steps back. “What on earth did you do?!”
When Lin Yuan picked up this cat, it wasn’t even this dirty, was it? How is it that she goes out for one meal and returns to find her cat filthy enough to have rolled around in a sewage ditch?
I thought cats were supposed to be clean!
Lilith really had rolled around in a sewage ditch… She originally planned to charm some magically-inclined folks to help her escape this nightmare, but due to her earlier encounter with a dog that chased her into a garbage pile, everyone had been thoroughly grossed out.
And when she finally decided to return, guess what? Those stray dogs spotted her again and, while running for her life, she slipped and fell straight into a sewer.
Drenched to the bone, cold, and hungry, after being chased by dogs twice, she had no strength left to escape on her own and had to come back here to endure further humiliation.
Lin Nan didn’t dare touch the cat. She opened the door and gently nudged with her shoe: “Get in, don’t jump on the sofa, head straight to the bathroom.”
Lilith let out a soft sigh, struggling to get up on her tired legs, wobbling into the room.
Well, at least this devil has some human decency—she didn’t throw me out just because I’m dirty.
She felt a little teary, but since cats lack developed tear ducts, she could only sniffle sadly.
How did I, the magnificent Lilith, end up in such a state?
Seeing the black cat looking so downcast made Lin Nan not want to complain anymore. After all, this was the very cat she had raised since it was a kitten.
She bent down, picked Lilith up, and marched her into the bathroom, holding her down with one hand while adjusting the water temperature with the other.
In the past, Chen Yao did the cat-washing, which turned the bathroom into a smoky mess while he ended up with scratches all over him. Cola, though usually well-behaved, was like most cats and hated water.
But today, the agitated Cola surprisingly didn’t resist at all. Not only did she let Lin Nan bathe her, but she even lay down and extended her paws for some soap!
“Could it be that your rebellious phase makes you like bathing?” Lin Nan mused as she wet Cola’s fur, grabbing cat shampoo to give her a good scrub. “Or is this just a complete change of character in this rebellious phase?”
As the water flowed over Cola, turning into a stream of black gunk, Lin Nan felt a wave of nausea. This cat couldn’t get a moment’s peace! Sneaking out while she was gone to play, and now, look, filthy as a pig.
“Yeah, yeah, right there, a bit more pressure~ Mmm, that’s nice…” Lilith was thoroughly enjoying herself being pampered during her bath.
She let out strange sounds that Lin Nan thought sounded vaguely like cries of pleasure, and she suddenly contemplated saving up for a spaying operation.
Thanks to Cola being so cooperative, just half an hour later, the cat stood on the coffee table, pristine and proud, looking like she owned the place.
“Quick, get me a man to serve my needs!”
As Lin Nan came out of the bathroom, scrubbing her hands with soap, she heard Cola’s demanding yowls. She didn’t understand anything, but the tone was clear enough.
Is she asking for trouble?
She grabbed a packet of cat food from below the coffee table and poured it into Cola’s bowl: “Eat.”
“Does it look like I’m the kind of cat that eats cat food?!” Cola slapped a paw at the bowl, sending cat food flying all over the place.
She might not understand the words, but the tone and attitude were loud and clear. Lin Nan realized this cat had just received a bath and suddenly thought herself better than her.
Not on my watch!
She wasn’t about to be the type to pamper her pet like a deity.
So, Lin Nan grabbed Cola, pinned her down on her lap, and relentlessly began to pet her. Cola squirmed wildly, but fearing being spayed, she refrained from clawing. No matter how much she struggled, she eventually gave in and lay back on Lin Nan’s legs, surrendering to the moment.
If you can’t fight it, then just enjoy it.
“Pervert…”
Lilith felt utterly violated; it was the greatest humiliation she had experienced in the last three hundred years.
Not even Li Na from back in the day had made her feel this mortified that tears were about to spill.
Lin Nan joyfully rubbed Cola’s belly, playfully tugging at the little spots on her stomach, but Cola merely gave an “happy” meow to voice her protest, completely unresponsive otherwise.
After having her fun with the cat, Lin Nan got up to tend to her own business. As for Cola being picky and not eating cat food? A few days without food and she’d munch it down.
Underwear, sanitary pads, and ideally, a special set of pajamas. Ordinary clothes always rub against my chest while sleeping, and there’s no way I’m wearing a bra to bed.
For pajamas, something loose-fitting would do, a silk shirt should be fine? Gender differences shouldn’t matter much; I could just get a men’s one.
The issue was with the underwear; sizing was tricky, and without a soft tape measure, I couldn’t measure my bust.
I’ll just buy a set in A and B sizes, and then I’ll know my actual size once I try them on.
Invisible straps would be best, so that come summer, my classmates wouldn’t spot anything. Even though I’ve entirely become a girl, I’ll still try to hide it as long as possible in front of them. Otherwise, whether they think I’ve had surgery or that I’m just a girl hanging out in a guys’ dorm, those rumors are bound to be hurtful.
Lin Nan was conflicted while shopping. On one hand, she truly despised these feminine products but had no choice but to buy them. On the other hand, her pockets were empty, and it pained her to spend.
Let’s just buy them already! After all, I’m wearing women’s shoes; I’m a woman now, so I might as well embrace it…
With a resolve, she bit the b*llet, and all the hard-earned money from her part-time job yesterday vanished in an instant.

Casually searching for “stick” on Taobao, she only found baseball bats. After a moment of thought, she added the word “female”.
