I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 20

020. sc*m?

==============================

“Despicable! Shameless! Lewd!”

“Pah! You perverted stalker! Chasing me all the way from that far away! Crazy, much?” Lin Nan shot back, not backing down. Sure, she couldn’t usually win debates with her roommate, but at least she could hold her own against the ignorant natives of this world.

Li Na paused for a moment, her eyes suddenly softening a bit. She looked down, starting to choke up and sob quietly, but she didn’t dare let the outsiders know her troubles. Instead, she shot Lin Nan a look filled with tears and resentment.

“Nan Nan, don’t tell me that’s your ex-girlfriend? Got her pregnant and ran away?” Tu Junhui cautiously whispered in Lin Nan’s ear.

“Do I look like that kind of sc*m?” Lin Nan retorted angrily.

“Didn’t think you did at first…” Tu Junhui mumbled under his breath, adding silently, but now you look like a perfect match.

Seeing someone was about to take on the role of an audience member, Li Na knew there was no way to resolve this today. She wiped her tears and coldly huffed, “You won’t escape for long!”

With that tough remark, she spun on her heels and left, leaving Lin Nan and Tu Junhui exchanging puzzled glances.

“This girl… is she a bit off her rocker?” Tu Junhui scratched his head. “Is she crazy?”

Lin Nan nodded in agreement, “Isn’t she? She actually wants to k*ll me.”

Even though she played it cool, Lin Nan knew what that freak was saying was no mere threat. But after this encounter, Li Na didn’t seem as powerful as she remembered.

Memories of Lilith were usually too far back to be clear, deeply rooted in the recesses of her mind. These memories affected Lin Nan’s habits and mannerisms a bit, but in reality, if she didn’t focus, they wouldn’t pop up out of nowhere.

On the way back, reflecting on the bad bl**d between Lilith and Li Na, Lin Nan finally realized this was just a cliché fantasy drama.

Essentially, Lilith was known as a witch in another world, but her status was more akin to a Demon King in shonen anime, while Li Na is the brave heroine dubbed “Saintess.”

The two had met in their childhood, but they wandered down different paths later on. Li Na did her best to steer Lilith to righteousness, but Lilith willingly fell into decadence… think of it as a Sasuke and Naruto situation.

For three hundred years, Lilith died about ten times, and not once was she killed by Saintess Li Na. Yet, Lilith was still a prodigy, having developed a resurrection technique much like Orochimaru’s… only to be backstabbed and killed in her last attempt to escape, ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time and somehow getting caught up with Lin Nan.

And presumably, in order to retrieve Lilith’s soul, Li Na crossed dimensions into this world.

By the time Lin Nan sorted this all out, she made it back to the dormitory.

Tu Junhui was passionately describing the drama he perceived between Li Na and Lin Nan, even though he only saw the last scene. He fabricated a backstory from “three years ago,” painting Lin Nan as a scumbag and Li Na as a lovesick maiden.

Xiong Da, who only met Lin Nan in college and knew nothing, was engrossed in the story, while Chen Yao had become Lin Nan’s friend long ago, his expression growing increasingly strange, utterly confused.

“Lin Nan never had any unclear relationships with girls before,” Chen Yao finally spoke up, unable to take it anymore.

Tu Junhui, however, held his ground, “Most of that was made up! Besides, just because you and Nan Nan were friends back then doesn’t mean you know everything.”

Chen Yao recalled, “Well, I know everything about high school. We lived at school, hung out whenever we had free time, went to the internet cafe after school, and whichever place was closer for sleepovers, that’s where we went.”

“You know the sizes too?” Tu Junhui smirked.

“We’ve even gone to the bathroom together!” Chen Yao shot him an annoyed look.

Tu Junhui wasn’t usually nosy, but he couldn’t help but be curious at this point. “You guys aren’t, like, gay or something, right?”

“Shut it!”

Both yelled in unison.

Feeling indignant, Lin Nan returned to her seat, pulled out her phone, and opened a video, but lacked the energy to watch it. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got, feeling totally victimized. She muttered impatiently, “What’s with this nonsense?”

Not only was she held at knifepoint, but she also randomly inherited the title of a witch, becoming a thorn in someone’s side, and her roommates thought she used to be a scumbag?

Scumbag? After middle school, she hardly interacted with girls, let alone dated anyone. All she thought about was games. What was that about women? Could they compete with games?

Looking down at the two little bumps showing through her thin shirt only made her angrier.

Sure, magic had its perks, but without it, she would have been a lot happier during this time, not worrying daily about how much more feminine she was becoming. Living in a dorm while becoming increasingly feminine meant being mocked and laughed at; if some hot-blooded guy lost control…

That thought made Lin Nan a bit anxious.

“Hey, Chen Yao, are there any houses for rent near the school?” she asked, looking up.

“The school doesn’t allow renting off-campus,” Xiong Da replied, “Only fourth-year students interning can rent outside. If you miss roll call at night, you’ll definitely get penalized.”

Meaning, two more years?

Lin Nan recalled all those girls from elementary and middle school, helplessly realizing that in two years, they would have blossomed like flowers.

The combination of physical and mental exhaustion was overwhelming; Lin Nan skipped washing up, simply wiped her sweat with a towel, and crawled directly into bed.

During this time, she felt tremendous pressure. Having been a male all her life, her body suddenly started feminizing, not to mention her character and posture were becoming increasingly feminine. This pressure, though unspoken, constantly bore down on her nerves.

Chen Yao also crawled into bed, keenly sensing that Lin Nan seemed a bit off.

With one knee propped against the wall, he quietly said, “If there’s anything bothering you, just tell me. We’ve been friends for years; don’t keep it all bottled up.”

“Whenever I lost a fight in the past, I always came straight to you, and even when my grandpa passed away and I drowned my sorrows, it was you I turned to. I never cared if you’d laugh; you can tell me anything,” he reassured her, his gaze not fixed on Lin Nan, his voice soft enough for Lin Nan alone to hear.

Lin Nan felt deeply moved but didn’t know how to express it. She could only reply, “I’ll think about it and figure out how to tell you.”

“Well, that’s fine.”

He forced a smile and turned to look at the two downstairs who were glued to their computers, filled with worry.

But it wasn’t long before Lin Nan’s face turned pale, her hand unconsciously gripping her stomach, brows furrowing tightly.

She didn’t want others to see her weakness, so she silently flopped onto her bed, pulling the covers over her body, curling up under them.

At first, her stomach just had a slight sting, but it quickly escalated into a full-blown assault of pain, making her body tremble uncontrollably.

Chen Yao thought it was an earthquake, staring blankly at the ceiling fan. After watching for a while without noticing any movement, he glanced confusedly at Lin Nan, unsure of what was happening.
