307. The Cola’s Gone Missing!

Lilith felt wronged. If the blame were truly hers, a few scoldings wouldn’t be out of line. Without her magic, she wasn’t exactly unreasonable.
But back when she transformed into a cat, no matter what mishaps Lin Nan got into, she always ended up taking the heat!
What was it to her? She was just a clueless cat!
And as a cat who couldn’t talk, even if she could, no one would understand her, so she had to bottle it up.
Now that she finally had a human body, happily clawing away at stuffed toys with Li Na, she suddenly heard it from behind, “It’s all Lilith’s fault!”
“Don’t think for a second that I don’t know you’re always pinning the blame on me! You tripped and fell; what does that have to do with me!” She stormed up to Lin Nan, her face a mask of fury.
Lin Nan glanced at her and then turned to Chen Yao beside her, both exchanging puzzled looks.
Chen Yao hurriedly helped Lin Nan up, but his mind was elsewhere. He was just staring blankly at Lin Nan and the girl in front of him.
“Is it just me, or do you two look similar?”
Not just similar; he even thought the girl had the same demeanor as Lin Nan.
Scratching his head, he looked over at Tu Junhui and Xiong Da beside him.
“Yeah, they kinda do…”
Xiong Da nodded. “Are you two sisters? I never heard Lin Nan mention that.”
“And the relationship doesn’t seem great either.” Tu Junhui scratched his head, his gaze sweeping up from Lilith’s feet to her rather flat chest, “Definitely not a sisterly vibe there.”
Lilith immediately lost interest to be perceived as a bad sister.
Lin Nan stood up and looked at Lilith’s face. The sight transported her back to that terrifying witch from her memories, causing her to go pale and hide behind Chen Yao.
But Chen Yao didn’t even recognize her and asked in a soft, confused tone, “Is she your relative?”
“Relative? You’re dreaming! She’s not even worthy of carrying my shoes!”
Lilith haughtily snorted.
Li Na walked over, took a glance at Lilith, and immediately, Lilith turned into a docile lamb.
“I had some free time today, so I brought her out. Isn’t that a coincidence?” Li Na smiled at Lin Nan. “A date?”
“Just a dorm movie night,” Lin Nan replied.
“Well, I won’t intrude then.” Li Na grasped Lilith’s hand, turned, and started to pull her away.
Lilith wanted to say something, but without her powers, she could scarcely act tough in front of Li Na, so she merely glared back at Lin Nan.
She vividly remembered how Lin Nan used to torment her back when she was a cat.
“Are you two enemies?” Chen Yao still couldn’t piece it all together. Then suddenly recalled a maid café from last semester, “Was that girl the one working at the café?”
Tu Junhui had the same realization but hesitated, “But back then, that girl had a pretty good chest.”
“Fake, obviously,” Xiong Da chimed in.
Lin Nan nodded with a sigh, then decided to head home.
Staying here any longer meant risking another encounter with Lilith, and who knows what kind of trouble might ensue.
But then again, Lilith didn’t have any magic now… and she was full of magic! Does that mean…
Lin Nan suddenly had an idea, looking up at Chen Yao, who felt a chill run down his spine; that familiar sense of dread washed over him.
“What are you planning?”
He cautiously took a step back.
“Nothing, nothing at all!” Just moments ago pale-faced, Lin Nan suddenly broke into a wide grin, a rather terrifying, all-too-gleeful smile.
Since Lilith couldn’t use magic anymore, why not whip up some offensive spells to continue bullying the witch?
Since revenge was inevitable, it’d be more fun to get a head start!
“Seriously, I feel like you’re just using me as a tool,” Chen Yao said, scratching his head, “Want a frappuccino? I’ll buy you one.”
“Buy it and then let’s go home!”
“I have to take attendance at the dorm first. You head to the rental apartment.”
The four of them grabbed frappuccinos and hopped on the bus back to school, while Lin Nan rummaged through her memory for usable attacking spells.
She had considered many offensive spells initially, but the unlocking methods usually involved self-harm in some way.
In the end, she typically opted for spells easy to cash in on for daily life. Those variants were simply too embarrassing to use, or else she’d probably be loaded with passive spells like the Bone King, complete with dozens of buffs. If that happened, she’d definitely be the strongest human on Earth.
“Magic~ Magic~” Lin Nan mumbled while quickly scanning through the available spells that seemed easy enough to unlock.
First off, she ruled out elemental spells like fireballs, which were mostly self-harming.

Ah! The “Void Hand,” controlling magic to form a transparent arm.
It could be maneuvered just like a real arm and stretch up to five meters — and no one could even see it!
Perfect for picking stuff up,
throwing away garbage, or just plain messing with people.
It also added an invisible hand in a fight, so beating up Lilith would be a piece of cake, especially given its high potential; with enough magic, that hand could practically be a crane!
The only hiccup was the unlocking method…

Chen Yao suddenly turned to Lin Nan, who had developed a bright red hue on her face, and nervously asked, “You’re not coming down with a fever, are you?”
“Nope!” Lin Nan replied instinctively.
“Better check with a thermometer when we get back. If anything’s odd, we should hit up the hospital.”
“I know.” Lin Nan was a bit irritated, her train of thought interrupted. “When you’re done with attendance, remember to bring me some late-night snacks.”
Chen Yao had no clue why he seemed to rile her up and looked completely baffled.
Lin Nan sighed, leaned her head against the bus window, felt the bus’s bumps, and continued searching her mind for usable spells.
Lilith would definitely come back for revenge since she had taken her magic and had been bullying her ever since she was a cat…
Speaking of which, where did my cola go?
Suddenly remembering, Lin Nan whipped her head toward Chen Yao. “Where’s the cola?”
“Didn’t Li Na take it with her? And there’s Sprite too.”
Right! Lilith’s soul left Cola; what’s happening to Cola now? Is she alive or what?
