I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 58

058. Girls’ Dormitory【Monthly Vote Extra】

==============================

“I’m out!”

The next morning, Lin Nan woke up feeling refreshed.

Sure, there was still a weird chill in her lower abdomen, but the pain had nearly vanished.

Chen Yao poked his head out of bed, eyebrows raised in surprise. “You’re leaving this early? Didn’t you have a stomach ache?”

“Much better,” Lin Nan replied, opening the door. Fresh air rushed in, filling her lungs and instantly lifting the gloom that had been hanging over her for days.

“What time will you be back?”

“Maybe tomorrow?” she said, pursing her lips.

Chen Yao quickly sensed the anxiety in Lin Nan’s words. Frowning, he climbed out of bed. “Do you want me to go with you?”

“No, it’s fine.”

Lin Nan awkwardly flashed him a grin before hastily leaving the dorm. Chen Yao planned to chase after her, but it took him a moment to get out of bed. By the time he opened the door and peeked into the corridor, Lin Nan was already long gone.

He sighed; that Lin Nan who used to follow him around and consult him about everything seemed like a distant memory.

For some reason, it made him uneasy, and his thoughts turned back to Lin Nan’s tense expression, filling him with concern. What if she was off borrowing money online or something?

Lin Nan had always had a somewhat materialistic streak—mostly because her parents’ financial contributions barely covered living expenses. Naturally, she hoped to get a few more pairs of shoes, a couple of outfits, or maybe just enough to splash on some games and pull off a ten consecutive roll…

But despite her love for money, she could be generous too; whenever Chen Yao was short on funds for a meal, she would promptly bring him an extra helping from the cafeteria.

Now, while Chen Yao was fretting, Lin Nan was hesitating outside the girls’ dorm.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Li Na finally came down from upstairs. She marched right to Lin Nan, beaming as she grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward the dorm entrance.

“You’ll get caught by Auntie!” Lin Nan was in a frenzy.

“Relax! Who’s gonna mistake you for a guy at first glance?” Li Na seemed over the moon.

Last night, Lin Nan finally made the decision to unlock Purification Magic to cleanse the bad bl**d inside her, mostly out of fear. Going to the hospital was too embarrassing; what if she became some rare case and ended up being called “Panda”? That would be mortifying!

Still, she hoped her girl disguise would meet her aesthetic standards, because if it looked bad, stepping outside would surely blind someone—let alone living as a girl for an entire day.

Li Na was a girl, and while she might not know how to use modern cosmetics from another world, at least she had access to girl clothes.

The two of them were about the same size, so Lin Nan could wear Li Na’s clothes, which spared her the embarrassment of actually buying girl clothing herself.

Plus, Li Na’s roommate had wigs, which were perfect for Lin Nan’s needs.

If makeup was necessary, Li Na could just cast a spell on her face.

Li Na wanted to see Lin Nan become more and more like Lilith, while Lin Nan needed to unlock that magic. It was a match made in comedic heaven, so Lin Nan found herself at the girls’ dorm early in the morning.

This was Lin Nan’s first time in the girls’ dormitory. She was tense as she entered, afraid Auntie might spot her. But Auntie merely glanced at her and didn’t say a word.

Having successfully snuck into the dormitory, Lin Nan let out a small sigh of relief.

“You know, it would have been easier if you just cast a spell on me instead of waiting for me to do makeup later,” Lin Nan pouted, trailing behind Li Na.

“You have to teach someone how to fish instead of just giving them a fish!” Li Na retorted, grinning.

“I think you just want to see me resembling Lilith more.”

Lin Nan managed a bitter smile. The only one in her crazy adventure who could use magic wasn’t even on her side—what a nightmare!

Li Na’s dorm was on the third floor, and they didn’t walk far before arriving at her room.

She swung the door open and stepped in, and Lin Nan peeked inside, immediately curious. But as soon as she entered, she found a girl in light sleepwear, glued to her phone.

The girl looked up and, possibly mistaking Lin Nan for another girl, quickly dismissed her presence and returned to her game.

It seemed Li Na’s relationship with her roommate was rather strained; normally, when someone brings a guest, there’d be a bit of chit-chat, but with not a single word exchanged, they both just went on doing their own thing.

“I don’t have many clothes, you know I’m broke.” Li Na’s excitement was palpable as she opened her wardrobe, revealing just a single outfit. “I really love this one!”

Lin Nan felt a bit awkward, glancing at Li Na’s roommate who was still absorbed in her game. She opened her mouth but couldn’t bring herself to speak.

Being merely glanced at and mistaken for a girl was fine, but her voice still had that unmistakable boyish tone. If she spoke, attention would definitely turn her way.

Nervously swallowing, she nodded silently.

As for the design of Li Na’s dress, she paid no mind; it’s summer, after all, and most outfits were short-sleeved… Just as this thought crossed her mind, Li Na pulled out the outfit she loved, and Lin Nan took a closer look—only to realize it was a short-sleeve top with a short skirt.

Lin Nan’s face turned pale.

“I absolutely adore this outfit! But the skirt is too short—Saintess rules say I can’t wear stuff like this.” Li Na excitedly held the clothes up to Lin Nan. “You’d look fantastic in it!”

Now Lin Nan had to protest. “Not good, not good!”

“And there’s a wig!” Li Na completely ignored Lin Nan’s objections, opening her roommate’s wardrobe and pulling out a wig. “Look! This long black wig with bangs will definitely suit you!”

“Not suitable, not suitable!” Lin Nan shook her head vigorously, backing away uncontrollably. She seriously regretted today’s decision and could only say, “And borrowing your roommate’s stuff without asking isn’t cool.”

“I’m a Saintess!” Li Na stated with confidence.

No wonder Li Na had a bad rep; she was always flinging the term “Saintess” around like a toddler with a glittery sticker and was never shy about doing shameless things.

Out of the corner of her eye, Lin Nan caught a gaze on her and turned to see Li Na’s roommate staring at her intently.

“Lin Nan?”

She forced a chuckle, raising her hand in a meek wave. “Uh… hi…”

The roommate glanced down at her sheer loungewear and suddenly her face turned beet red. She stared wide-eyed, utterly speechless.
