I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic – Chapter 625

634. The Wedding Night

==============================

By the time Lin Nan and the crew wrapped up the wedding, it was already late at night.

Tu Junhui and Xiong Da, the groomsmen and bridesmaids, had already settled the newlyweds into their hotel. Meanwhile, Lin Nan’s mother and aunt were escorting her and Chen Yao back to their marital home in the provincial city.

Chen Yao had a good capacity for alcohol, but he was no match for the relentless drinking from Lin Nan’s rowdy cousins, the Big Dog among them. After downing beers, they returned to their seats, only to have Lin Nan’s grandfather snagging them for white wine. Even though Tu Junhui tried to help Chen Yao block the drinks, this guy poured even faster than Chen Yao could drink.

Down went the beers and whites, and now Chen Yao was staggering, leaning against the walls for support.

As for Lin Nan, she had never been a heavy drinker in the first place, so now she was looking all fuzzy and dazed. Upon arriving home, she collapsed onto the sofa, gazing dreamily at her mother standing nearby.

They skipped the traditional wedding night shenanigans to prevent their home, which had been lived in for over six months, from being wrecked by a bunch of wild kids.

“Drink some water and hurry up to bed?” her mother sighed, pouring a cup of cool water and handing it to Lin Nan.

“Not drinking water…” Lin Nan replied in a sweet, childlike tone, all soft and adorable. Then, she suddenly propped herself up on the sofa, craning her neck to watch Chen Yao, who was slowly climbing the stairs with the help of her uncle and aunt.

So she stood up, trying to match Chen Yao’s pace, but only made it two steps before swaying and collapsing back onto the couch.

Her mother helplessly helped Lin Nan sit upright, “Why did you drink so much?”

“Because I’m happy!”

Lin Nan tilted her head back defiantly.

Right now, her brain felt like mush—no coherent thoughts. Whenever an idea popped up, her body just acted on it without her telling it to.

This was probably her most impulsive moment ever.

For instance, right now, she wanted to go upstairs and take a shower.

Her mother, still supporting her, was witnessing her daughter’s drunken antics for the first time.

So goofy, yet so cute.

Her eyes were wide open, as if trying to make sense of this hazy world, with a look full of confusion and bewilderment. She gently swayed her little head and hugged her mother’s arm, sweetly whining.

“Mom~ I want some cola~”

Her cheeks were rosy from the drinking, her skin slightly flushed, her face was as red as a tomato.

Feeling the heat radiating from Lin Nan’s arms, her mother sighed, “Let’s get you upstairs first.”

“Ice! Cold! Cola!”

She pronounced each word with dramatic emphasis, her accent getting all funny.

This girl… Her mother affectionately ruffled Lin Nan’s hair, chuckling, “Alright, alright.”

Suddenly, the mother realized that Lin Nan had never really been this whiny with her before.

Maybe once in kindergarten? That time she wanted a little cake at the corner store and was all pouty and squatting on the floor. But her mother, using the excuse that the cake was too sweet and could cause cavities, had simply walked away.

In truth, they had just scraped together money to buy a big truck, and they were struggling to afford three meals a day.

Perhaps because of that, Lin Nan knew that whining didn’t work on her.

Helping Lin Nan up the wooden steps, they finally made it to the upstairs master bedroom, where Lin Nan’s eyes suddenly sparkled as she dashed toward the bed and flopped right onto Chen Yao.

With a loud groan, Chen Yao, almost asleep on his back, had his limbs flailing in pain from the unexpected weight.

But Lin Nan was completely oblivious, snuggling against Chen Yao’s chest like a cat.

Watching their antics from the bedside, her aunt chuckled, “Such a lovely couple!”

As she spoke, she organized the wedding suit and dress the couple had changed out of, tucking them neatly in the bottom drawer of the wardrobe.

“Indeed,” her mother crossed her arms, smiling at her in-laws, “Shall we take our leave now?”

“Such a pity the guest room downstairs has been turned into a game room for their birdie buddies. Otherwise, we could’ve stayed here.”

The three chatted as they exited the room, but the aunt lingered behind. After the couple disappeared down the stairs, she turned back into Lin Nan’s bedroom.

She opened the drawer of the nightstand and, spotting what she wanted, grabbed the little box and pocketed it before happily sashaying away.

Fingers crossed her son would perform well tonight.

She had been waiting for grandkids to arrive for what felt like an eternity.

Once the sounds of the elders leaving echoed from downstairs, Chen Yao suddenly jolted awake.

Rubbing his temples, he frowned deeply.

Though he was pretending to be wasted, Lin Nan’s grandfather had been a real trooper…

He wasn’t as out of it as he seemed; his mind was still processing things, but looking down, he found Lin Nan nuzzled up to him like a cat, playfully rubbing her cheek against his chest.

Hmm, feeling a bit stirred.

He rummaged through the bottom drawer of the nightstand for a cat-ear headband and plopped it onto Lin Nan’s head.

But she had drunk too much; he couldn’t get the bullets in the chamber.

This was supposed to be their wedding night.

Chen Yao carefully shifted Lin Nan off him, wobbling slightly as he made his way to the bathroom, where he promptly leaned over the toilet to hurl.

After washing his face, the dizziness finally eased up. As he stepped back out of the bathroom, he found Lin Nan sprawled on the bed, unguarded, lifting her top and revealing her flat abdomen, with hints of a defined waistline.

Chen Yao noticed she wasn’t asleep; her dazed, watery eyes were fixed on him.

“What’s up?”

“My mom said… she’d bring me cola…” Lin Nan muttered, her tone pouty.

“No, I meant, what are you doing?” Chen Yao stressed.

Lin Nan shot him a glare, “Such crude language.”

At that moment, Lin Nan finally noticed the cat ears on her head and, laying back on the bed, raised her hands to gently rub the fluffy ears, feeling inexplicably delighted.

Chen Yao observed Lin Nan, her outfit in disarray, with her arms raised as if inviting him in.

A warm feeling surged from his stomach, and he quickly removed his shirt, turning to open the nightstand drawer.

Huh? Something’s missing?

“Chen Yao~ Cola!”

“Hold on, I’m looking for something.”

“What for?”

Turning back, he found Lin Nan kneeling on the bed, peering curiously into the drawer.

Playfully swatting her behind, he said, “Nah, it’s fine. I’m not looking anymore.”

Lin Nan had always had a great figure; the way her waist curved while kneeling, her peachy backside swaying gently, she hummed this year’s pop song, lightly swaying side to side.

Chen Yao knew she was in a good mood, but with every glance, it felt like she was luring him in.

“Wife, ah, it’s our wedding night.”

“Hmm? What? Don’t call me that; I’m not used to it.”

“Darn!”

“Eh!?”
