Chapter 103: The Second Collaboration
Xu Xiaofeng originally wanted to ask Uncle Edward about something, but after returning to Falling Leaf City, she found that Edward’s family had moved away.
Well, no choice but to have the Qingfeng Chamber of Commerce do the searching; at least Harry was reliable when it came to getting things done.
“Get a few more enchanters. We need them to enchant not just epic gear, but rare gear too.”
“Enchant rare gear? Isn’t that a bit unreasonable?”
Most enchanters with any reputation only bothered with epic gear enchantments; they looked down on the rare stuff. Hardly anyone would go out of their way to enchant rare gear.
“I really need the enchantments on the rare gear. Can’t you find an enchanter?”
“Miss Wind, enchanters generally don’t think much of rare gear.”
“I’ll offer ten thousand gold coins.”
“It’s not about the price; it’s mainly that enchanters have their pride, and this would be beneath them…”
“Twenty thousand.”
“Miss Wind, you’re making this really difficult for me…”
“Thirty thousand.”
“That’s quite a bit of pressure you’re putting on me…”
“Fifty thousand.”
“Alright, I’ll take care of it!”
Tch! What pride? What’s beneath them? Isn’t it really just a matter of the money being right?
Not bending for five pecks of rice, huh? Well, how about I throw enough money at you to buckle your waist?
Difficult? Isn’t it plenty simple when the cash is enough? Not difficult at all!
Harry sent someone to find the enchanters while he checked his own inventory.
One hundred purple items, over ninety thousand blue items of all kinds.
Calculating at wholesale prices—one thousand gold coins for each purple item, one hundred gold coins for each blue item—he rounded it off to a neat ten million gold coins.
That’s ten million gold coins! Even the royal family would turn green with envy upon seeing that.
However, that ten million is the revenue, and subtracting costs gives him about two to three hundred thousand in profit.
Equipment is a must-have; if it were a luxury item, the profits would soar.
But even two to three hundred thousand is enough for their chamber to last a year.
Both sides quickly signed the contract, and the order was officially established.
“So, Miss Wind, about the payment…” Harry rubbed his fingers together.
Xu Xiaofeng carefully checked the signatures and seals on the contract before happily tucking it away. “No rush, I’ll pay upon completion.”
Still more to discuss?
Harry’s heart skipped a beat.
He remembered the last time this young lady almost knocked him out with her endless demands one after another.
Just as expected, Xu Xiaofeng began to list her requests.
“President Harry, will it be okay to have all this gear assembled in a uniform style?”
“Of course. You want the epic gear to match as well?”
“Yes, but let me know how they’re packed. No distinguishing marks.”
That’s a strange request. Harry couldn’t understand it, but he didn’t bother to question it, just wanting to cater to this young lady as quickly as possible.
“How long will it take to assemble all this gear and ship it to Emerald City?”
“Seven days.”
“If it’s shipped in batches, how much will arrive within three days?”
“All the epic gear will be in Emerald City; the rest will have about half arrive in three days.”
“That’s enough.” Xu Xiaofeng stood up and stretched lazily. “Let’s settle on that.”
“Is that it?”
Harry blinked in disbelief.
Was it really that easy? This is so out of character for this young lady!
“Shall I get started then?”
He didn’t even want to bring up the payment anymore; after all, she wouldn’t default. Once he left, the deal would truly be sealed, and no more demands could be made.
Xu Xiaofeng’s lips curled into a crescent moon shape, her face radiating an innocent smile: “Don’t be in such a hurry, President! We finished the first deal, but there’s a second deal. I wonder if you might be interested.”
Harry was a bit inclined to say he wasn’t interested. Just looking at that smile felt like it was bad news. The first order was enough for a year; he could just play it safe.
But just as he was about to mouth off, his nose twitched.
He froze.
This is… the smell of gold? Could this second deal be even bigger than the first?!
So, the words Harry almost said did a complete 180: “Miss Wind, please, do tell!”
“Good. President Harry should probably guess that this bulk purchase isn’t just for personal use. I’ve uncovered additional business opportunities. Now, I’m here to share that with you.”
“I’m all ears.”
Xu Xiaofeng rested her chin on her hands: “You must have some knowledge about those outsiders.”
“Yes, the Sunfruit we sold last time was bought by them. They truly are quite wealthy. Are you planning to resell to them?”
If she were just planning to be a second-hand dealer, there wouldn’t be much profit. After all, there are other chambers; if you set the price high, they wouldn’t buy.
“Sort of, but not really. I want to buy, but it’s not just for resale. I need to do only a few simple operations, and this batch of gear’s price could double or even triple, maybe more.”
Harry blurted, “That’s impossible!”
No one’s that naive!
He only kept the latter half to himself.
“I have my methods. It’s up to you to believe it or not.”
“Well…”
Years of business experience told Harry that this was completely impossible. Even if it could be done, it would come at a steep price.
Like finding those enchanters. If she could get top-tier enchanters to enchant this batch, then the value would definitely go up. But that’s pointless; the cost of enchantments would likely outweigh the gear’s value.

But Harry’s instincts kept nudging him that this was a money-making opportunity. If he passed it up, he might regret it for a long time.
Having a chance to make money in front of you and not grasping it is practically like losing money. Isn’t that essentially equivalent to losing a hundred million?
He began to second-guess himself.
Xu Xiaofeng noticed Harry’s hesitation and decided to stoke the fire a little: “I’m sure President Harry has thought of some ways, but is concerned about the costs. I have a way to manage those costs while only slightly lowering the prices. That’s my second move.”
No way… the second move is that impressive? If there’s a third one, then does that mean she’s actually aiming for the stars?
“Miss Wind, could you share more details?”
“Sorry, that’s classified information. If President Harry is willing to collaborate, I’d be happy to share.”
Harry thought for a moment, then slammed the table decisively: “Alright! I’m in! Let’s discuss the terms.”
“Great. For our collaboration, the chamber will cover half of the payment for the gear. You’ll handle all subsequent sales, logistics, and security matters.”
“Uh… sounds fair enough.”
Harry had known there was no escaping these. This young lady wanting to sell stuff would definitely need the chamber’s manpower. But that was to be expected, and he could accept it entirely.
As for paying half, that’s effectively splitting the investment down the middle—very reasonable.
“What about profit sharing?”
“Seventy-thirty.”
“Why do we only get thirty percent?”
“Seventy percent is mine; you only get thirty.”
