Chapter 108: COS Me!
Xu Xiaofeng stepped out of the fitting room in her new dress.
As if she’d been waiting an eternity, Xu Xiaoyue rushed over to her, pulling at the hem of the dress with glee.
“Oooh, wow, looking good!”
Seeing Xu Xiaofeng still fidgeting and tugging at her outfit, Xu Xiaoyue assumed she was feeling shy. “Come on, you’ve worn one before! Don’t worry, nobody’s gonna say anything!”
“Oh no, I think this outfit just isn’t it. Can I pick something else myself?”

Xu Xiaoyue blinked, completely puzzled.
What? Did she just switch personalities? Even her voice sounds different!
Could it be a switcheroo?!
“Y-You’re really my brother?”
“Who else would I be?”
“Ah, um… did you go through some kind of transformation?”
“Yeah, I’ve come to a realization.”
Xu Xiaofeng’s gaze turned deep and distant, as if she could see all the way to the clouds.
“What realization?”
“What we wear is just a surface thing, merely an exterior, it doesn’t influence the essence within. So why not wear something pretty?”
“And your essence is?”
“Xu Xiaofeng.”
“Huh?”
Xu Xiaoyue was baffled again.
What on earth is she talking about?
“Can you explain that?”
Xu Xiaofeng just shook her head.
There were some things she didn’t quite get herself, and explaining it to her sister would only complicate matters.

“What’s that?”

The shop assistant quickly piped up, “That’s a custom COS outfit we made for another customer.”
At that, Xu Xiaofeng’s expression darkened. “COS what?”
“It’s from the hottest game right now, an NPC from ‘Otherworld’.”
“Is it the little sister?!” Xu Xiaoyue jumped in eagerly.
“Yes, it’s that little sister.”
Xu Xiaoyue was buzzing with excitement. “Can I see it?!”
“Please.”
Xu Xiaoyue took the outfit from the assistant, hanging it on the rack to examine closely.
“Wow, the quality is amazing, the resemblance is spot on!”
Xu Xiaofeng stepped up to take a look, shaking her head. “I don’t think it’s that great.”
The assistant frowned, clearly upset, as she had full confidence in her shop’s craftsmanship.
“Can you tell me what’s wrong? We can make adjustments.”
“The sleeves shouldn’t have buttons, the collar needs to go up half a centimeter, the front should have four rows of holes, not five, the two layers of lace on the skirt aren’t the same, the outside should be round while the inside is pointed. On the hood…”
Xu Xiaofeng rattled off nine discrepancies in a row, leaving the assistant speechless.
Seriously, who pays that much attention to detail?!
“Ma’am, these points are unprovable. We made it according to custom photos provided by the customer.”

“True.”

After a moment, the assistant sighed, “Ma’am, you’re heading down a slippery slope; it’s best to turn back now.”

Xu Xiaofeng yanked Xu Xiaoyue toward her. “This girl too!”
To her surprise, Xu Xiaoyue puffed up her chest. “Yeah, so what? I’m a proud loli fan!”
Xu Xiaofeng looked at Xu Xiaoyue, then back to the assistant, “I’m proud too.”
Now the assistant was truly at a loss for words.
Facing two utterly shameless customers, she had no counterarguments left. All she could do was say with mock seriousness, “Well, so am I.”
Three of them came to an understanding.
“Right!? Right!?” Xu Xiaoyue squealed. “Little sisters are so cute, it’s only natural to love them! The whole world should adore little sisters. By the way, I’m Moon. You might have heard of me.”
“You’re Little Moon! I’m Uranium Cook! I watch your streams all the time!”
“Awesome! So you know about tonight, right?”
“Yeah! Can you give a hint?”

The two hit it off, almost like a fan meeting in the making.
That’s just how Xu Xiaoyue rolls—if you chat about a topic she loves, she can talk to anyone for hours.
But when it’s something boring to her, she gets cold as ice.
From Xu Xiaofeng’s viewpoint, maybe her aloofness is just a façade to dodge some trouble.
While Xu Xiaoyue and the assistant were happily chatting away, Xu Xiaofeng found herself sidelined.
She turned back to eye the COS outfit.
Despite her list of complaints, if you ignore the details, the outfit was indeed quite similar.
After some thought, she decided to give it a try.
Luckily, it wasn’t tailored for a genuine little loli; if it were, at a mere 1.3 meters, there’s no way she could squeeze into it.
The dress was made for a girl’s M size—fit for someone about 1.6 meters tall.
At 1.7 meters, Xu Xiaofeng with her petite build made it work just fine.
She got dressed and strutted over to the mirror for a look.
No kidding, the resemblance to the character from the game was pretty striking.
In the game, the character was a little loli, and now she just looked like a slightly older version with a different eye color and hairstyle.

While Xu Xiaofeng was busy admiring herself, she was suddenly interrupted by a gasp.
Turning around, she found Xu Xiaoyue and the assistant staring at her with wide eyes.
“Ma’am, you’re really spot on!”
“Little Wind, don’t move! I’m going to style your hair!”
Xu Xiaoyue lunged in without hesitation, spending five minutes transforming Xu Xiaofeng’s hair into two plaited braids.
“Perfect!”
“Yeah, pretty perfect, just a tad tall, what a shame.”
Even the chest area was nicely fitted!
“Right, right, already an old lady.”
“…”
The assistant couldn’t quite process that. If she was an old lady, what did that make her?
Sometimes, even loli fans are terrifying when they speak!
Xu Xiaofeng was utterly speechless.
Looks like she gave them too much leeway—just wait ‘til the livestream tomorrow, I’ll roast you alive!
In the end, Xu Xiaoyue insisted on having the assistant customize the COS outfit based on Xu Xiaofeng’s earlier feedback.
Xu Xiaofeng protested that it wasn’t necessary, but was shut down by Xu Xiaoyue’s “I’m wearing it.”
