Sofia floated out from behind the wall.

Sofia floated closer and waved her hand in front of Yuliya’s face, “Hey, hey! You know my name, what’s yours?”
“I’m called…”

Sofia glanced at the magic circle again and floated to the side.
“Make sure you float far away.”
Sofia complied.
“Farther!”
Sofia floated even further.
“You… never mind.”
Yuliya picked up a rock that was about half her size and placed it on the ground.
She put her right hand on the rock and started mumbling some incantation.
After about half a minute, she pulled her hand back and lightly tapped the rock, producing a series of boinking sounds.
“Done!”
Yuliya spun around and suddenly took off running, shouting over her shoulder, “Run!”
“Huh?”
Sofia watched as Little Mei dashed past her, not slowing down for a second, and finally clued in—she quickly followed suit.
Floating has its perks; it gave her a speed boost, and she easily kept pace with Yuliya.
As the two sprinted over a hundred meters away, a massive boom echoed from behind them.
Sofia turned her head, her jaw dropping in shock—literally.
This isn’t figurative; ghosts can actually drop their jaws.
Behind them, what used to be a building and some ruins had vanished, leaving only a giant crater more than ten meters wide.
Sofia had been standing just twenty or thirty meters away—while she might not have been directly hit, the blast wave would’ve knocked her silly.
Sofia glanced at Yuliya, who had also stopped, and rolled her ghostly eyes, “Did you really have to go that hard?”
“If we’re going to blow it up, we might as well go big! Let’s clear it all at once to prevent future problems. Now, let’s find your dad. Do you know which way to go?”
