Chapter 138: Bugs
As Yuliya strode into Black Raven City, official commentary and numerous streamers began to focus their cameras on her.
While other players were still playing in the mud, she was diving into dungeons!
The dungeon had new mechanisms—way more interesting than the mind-numbingly boring monster grinding those other players were doing.
Xu Xiaoyue observed as her big brother was left and right, poking and prodding every nook and cranny as his expression grew odder by the second.
Never expected you to let loose like this when you’re all alone. Looks like you’re still holding back in front of me.
But hey, being an adorable little boy isn’t too shabby either!
“Streamer, streamer! Why does it feel like the Wind God is on vacation right now?”
“Don’t be ridiculous, he’s been on a tour this whole time. That’s the luxury of a pro!” Xu Xiaoyue glanced at the status bar. “But the current environment isn’t really suitable for a vacation.”
“He found a safe spot! Looks like he’s paying his respects to a statue! Why is he suddenly posing with his hands on his hips, laughing?”
“Nothing to worry about; he’s been acting adorably confused like this since forever—gotta get used to it.”
Once she got into her own live room, Xu Xiaoyue relaxed a bit.
Just poking fun at her big brother—what’s the big deal? She did this at home all the time!
“He found some good gear again; I bet he traded his height for that luck.”
“Now he’s searching houses, and he found a diary. He is so into it… well, kinda head-in-the-clouds too.”
“With this look, he’s practically wearing a sapphire-blue hat! The ghost has been nibbling at him for so long and he hasn’t lost a single hit point.”
“He spotted the ghost! He… he exploded! Talk about an exaggerated reaction…”
“Oh! Our poor, innocent elite skeleton—its life is now overshadowed by this moment. Oh well, it was already dead, so no harm done.”
The chat exploded with laughter at her commentary.
“Streamer, streamer! Why do I feel like you’re sharper when explaining about the Wind God today? Usually, you just drop a few wisecracks, but now you’re going full throttle!”
Xu Xiaoyue shook her head, “Not really. It’s just that his image is so different from what I imagined. So I was a little…”
“A bit disappointed?”
“A bit uncontrollably excited!”
That’s when the viewers remembered. This girl is a loli fan!
“We’re excited too, haha!”
“Not only did we see the true face of a god, but we also discovered the god is actually a clueless loli—my brain is shaking!”
Next up was the Wind God’s personal explosion show.
The audience and streamers were already used to new skills making their debuts. This time, it looked like some sort of touch or engraving explosive skill.
And then he ran into a ghost little loli.
It was truly a case of loli meets loli, let’s go woop woop!
Too bad, they couldn’t comprehend a word of the loli dialogue.
“d*mn it, I want a translation skill too!”
“Guys, I’m running a translation app while watching the stream, and here’s the output!”
“What does it say?”
“It’s ‘Wibbly wobbly woo!’”
“Forget it; if I can’t understand, I won’t listen. I’ll just glare with my eyes.”
“I kinda think not understanding makes it cuter.”
So, the scene shifted from one little loli shop-hopping to two little lolis holding a mini shopping spree.
Though the occasional explosions felt a little out of place.
“Seriously… this Wind God’s explosions are too insane. The cooldown is short, mana cost is low, but the damage and range are outrageous—this is the real deal!”
“With such a handy skill, what a waste not to join a demolition team!”
“All I can say is, diving into this dungeon is a blast—experiencing various skills one after another. Too bad we can’t bring any of this stuff out with us.”
They watched the Wind God blast his way through, his points skyrocketing, making them green with envy.
She didn’t have to do anything but blow up the whole city, and her final ranking was guaranteed!
Right now, the second-place player barely had over a hundred points, while she was already soaring with over six thousand.
Who can top that?
Meanwhile, the commentator, Mr. Guan, drew a conclusion.
“At this rate, as long as the Wind God doesn’t run into any problems and survives till the end, first place is basically locked!”
“Absolutely! It’s a sure thing! It looks like there’s no competition in this city.”
And then, a deafening roar pierced the air.
After Yuliya cleared out the remnants of the blown-up minions, ready to delve deeper, she heard that roar.
She looked up, serious as can be, towards the ominous black mist.
Last time, that kind of roar sent a horde of monsters charging out; now it sounded like it was her turn to deal with it personally?
But after waiting for a while, the black mist remained silent.
It seemed like everything had quieted down after that roar.
What’s going on?
Yuliya was a bit puzzled.
But hey, if you won’t come out, I’ll just have to come in! Hehehe.
First, she grabbed a bomb that was comically oversized—definitely larger than her head—gave it a good shake, and once satisfied, marched right in!
She tested the corrosiveness of the black mist with her hand and found it manageable, so she dove right in.
After some time spent wading through the mist, she could see objects clearly within a certain range—it had already dissipated by half.
The area spanned about a hundred meters in diameter, looking quite empty now.
It seemed like the previous wave of monsters had been all of them.
This lifted Yuliya’s alertness.
Logically, a place clearly more advanced than those earlier magic circles shouldn’t be this deserted.
She warily scanned the surroundings while cautiously moving forward.
By the time she reached the center, however, she still hadn’t spotted a single enemy.
Looking down, she recognized the magical circle markings—much larger and more chaotic than before.
The previous small circle covered about two hundred square meters, while this one was ten times that size.
Well then, let’s blow it up!
Yuliya crouched down and activated her makeshift bomb.
In that instant, she felt the ground tremble and immediately released it, leaping into the air.
At that very moment, the ground erupted, and a massive maw shot upwards.
Yuliya could even see the jagged, saw-like teeth surrounding the colossal mouth.
It was a gigantic worm, with a mouth diameter of at least ten meters, and Yuliya was caught right in its chomping range.
“Wow, this is… quite the surprise.”
Yuliya’s serious expression morphed into one of delight.
In the next moment, she vanished in a blur.
A second later, she reappeared a hundred meters away from the black mist area.
“Thought I wouldn’t be prepared? Do you really think I’d charge in without a plan?”
“Well then, catch this big gift I’m about to send you!”
With a snap of her fingers, a dull thud echoed, like firecrackers igniting in a jar.
She distinctly saw her toy engulfed in that monstrous mouth!
