### Chapter 156: It’s a Trap, but We All Love to Jump In
After the initial big explosion, Yuliya charged in with her justice, ready to throw down.
And boy, was that justice handy; the more she used it, the more it flowed like smoothies on a hot day.
“I told you it’s like fishing; you guys really should believe me.”
“This is called waiting for the hare. Remember, a hare is still a fish.”
“From now on, whatever the Wind God does, first question, then question again, and finally, question some more.”
Their Wind God was quite innocent, though; she was just taking a nap.
Then she woke up, stretched a bit, and voilà!
The trio hiding in the flames heard the ruckus outside, and when they saw the Wind God’s score climbing, they figured out what was happening.
“Bro, the Wind God is actually a good person! If we hadn’t run into her, we would’ve been toast.”
“No way!” Bro replied, slapping the top of his head, “Are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten who’s taking down the BOSS? You really think a little fire isn’t going to make us crispy bacon?”
“Wait a minute… can she really solo the BOSS all by herself?”
The third member, nicknamed “Magic Boy Blue,” chimed in: “Most likely! Just listen to the chaos out there—she’s taking on thousands of monsters like they’re nothing. Don’t use logic here!”
“Just look at the scores. I’ve got over a thousand points, and the Wind God has over eighty thousand—one of her equals fifty of us.”
“I’ve got a feeling that running into the Wind God is actually worse than running into that batch of monsters…”
Fei sighed: “That’s what I think too. You think she wants us in the fire? It’s to keep us from running away! Hopes to leave us a few crumbs.”
He glanced at his backpack and sighed again.
Top-tier players are just that—top-tier. Even without flashing what they got, they’re still being eyed like a pie at a county fair.
Just bad luck, I guess.
After about twenty minutes, the noise outside gradually quieted down until it was completely calm.
Fei looked at the scoreboard.
Wow, she just racked up nearly five thousand points in twenty minutes?!
They had fought for over ten hours and barely scraped together two thousand!
She really wiped out that horde of monsters!
What the heck, it’s definitely a hack!
With the initial commotion, if players could damage each other, the aftershock would have wiped them out!
Suddenly, a light breeze wafted through, and a dark figure emerged from the little space surrounded by flames.
“Whew! Done! That was exhausting,” Yuliya wiped nonexistent sweat from her forehead and looked at the three, “I really went out of my way to help you guys.”
The three exchanged glances, and in the end, it was Bro who spoke: “Thanks for bailing us out, Wind God.”
“No problem! Let me see your treasures.”
“The environment here is terrible. Why don’t we step outside?”
“It’s too dangerous out there; if we get robbed, that’d be bad. This place is safe; let’s stay here.”
Where exactly is ‘safe’ is still debatable…
Fei grumbled under his breath, but he had no choice but to comply.
Though players can’t directly harm each other, meaning they can suffocate their backpacks to protect their loot from thievery, now it’s different. They were trapped in a sea of fire, and if they disobeyed, they’d either stay trapped forever or get roasted once the surrounding forces withdrew.
Yuliya would never k*ll or loot; that’s not her style. But the first option was definitely on the table, and it aligns perfectly with the rules.
Plus, both sides had agreed to conditions in advance, so Yuliya’s actions were completely reasonable.
Fei began rummaging through his pack.
Potions, potions, and more potions.
“Stop! No more potions; carrying too many is a hassle.”
Fei fiddled through his bag and switched items.
Defensive talismans, attack talismans, speed-up talismans.
Now that’s something interesting; they could play with those.
“Anything else?”
With a determined bite, Fei pulled out the rest.
A bunch of accessories.
Each with different effects.
The most basic ones added percentage points to attributes, rare ones had continuous recovery effects, and some even formed automatic shields. The most outrageous? A boost to luck!
Whoa, it’s like they’ve just unearthed a hidden treasure!
While I’m here grinding to k*ll BOSSes, you guys are looting like pros?
Yet, these didn’t attract Yuliya too much.
“Is that all?”
“Yes, Wind God, feel free to pick anything you want; leave the rest for us.”
Yuliya glanced at the three and shook her head: “Then I won’t take anything. Bye!”
And with that, she vanished.
The three froze for a moment before frantically shouting, “Wait! Wind God! Come back! We still have stuff!”
As they spoke, the other two also started digging through their bags.
“Is that it? I thought you guys were raiding a vault or something?”
“Seriously, there’s nothing left…”
Yuliya was already gone.
“Wait! I almost forgot!”
Fei fished something else out of his bag.
“Wind God, take a look; this is the last of it.”
However, they received no reply.
Now Fei was getting desperate.
“Bro! Stop hiding! Just take that out! If you don’t show something, she might actually leave!”
“You… sigh! Fine! Wind God, this really is the last of it.”
With that, he pulled out a key from his sleeve.
“I know you’re still here. Take all this as a peace offering. Just let us three go.”
Yuliya smiled as she stepped out: “Hiding good stuff like this from your buddies isn’t very nice, is it?”
Fei could only smile awkwardly in response.
Yuliya glanced at the scattered items on the floor, most of which didn’t interest her.
She picked up a key that looked special, deeply hidden.
【Item Name: Key to the Dream Realm
Item Grade: Purple Epic
Item Description: None】
This… reeks of traps!
But players just love this stuff!
Look at these three fools, hoarding treasures while struggling to survive.
And then there’s our clever, beautiful, elegant, and charming Yuliya.
Of course, she loved this stuff too.
“I promised I’d take half, but this thing looks valuable, so I’ll take this, along with a few of these.”
Yuliya walked off with the key, a few talismans, and several potions.
“You have no objections, right?”
“‘Eh?’”
The three were taken aback and then nodded like bobbleheads: “No problem! Whatever Wind God wants, goes!”
With their lives in someone else’s hands, what else could they say?
Initially thinking they’d be looted clean, they ended up not only surviving but keeping most of their gear.
To them, the key was just an afterthought. Even if they held it, finding that Dream Realm door would be extremely tricky.
The most hidden treasure? They thought that could slip under the radar.
But now the Wind God was more interested in this dubious key than the lavish gear scattered around.
Talk about a win-win!
