Chapter 181: The Wind God’s Master Plan
Wang Xixi: “The Wind God not only instantly created a huge gap, but she also turned back to mock the Boss. Looks like she’s dead set on keeping the hate locked on her!”
Little Moon: “The situation was too chaotic earlier; it was impossible to see anything clearly. There’s no point in rewinding that mess, but I can basically guess the Wind God’s strategy.”
“She set traps and guided the Boss’s path with the ultimate goal of imitating last time’s situation, making the Boss think another player was interfering, tricking it into using that harmless area-clearing skill, and then she’d use that momentum to hightail it outta there!”
Wang Xixi: “Exactly! Little Moon hit the nail on the head. And now, the Wind God has succeeded!”
“Having created such a distance, based on previous speeds, this gap will definitely let her escape the Boss zone!”
“At the same time, she’s still pulling the Boss’s attention, preventing it from turning to chase the big Player Alliance squad.”
Little Moon: “She’s amazing, I could just cry!”
Wang Xixi: “Let’s take a step back and look at the entire Boss battle. To face such a powerful Boss and then manage a complete zero-casualty retreat for all players—is that not an unbelievable feat?!”
“As the one who kept the Boss engaged through thick and thin, the Wind God narrowly avoided disaster, relying on her exceptional smarts and quick wit to escape. She’s definitely the MVP!”
“At first, when the Nightmare God Boss hadn’t appeared, when we heard the Wind God mention retreat, we thought she was joking. Some even called her a coward on the spot.”
“But it’s proven how foresightful she was!”
Little Moon: “Exactly! When the Boss is too strong, having the guts to retreat before finding the right strategy is true courage.”
“Charging headfirst, refusing to back down for the sake of pride, and ending up wiping out the remaining forces is the real cowardice!”
Wang Xixi: “Sometimes we just need to run. Being able to escape is more than enough reason to feel proud.”
“For example, if I could escape from the Boss alone in a situation like this, I’d brag about it for a lifetime!”
“Just like the Wind God now, we’d all be praising her, saying she runs so well, so… hey! Wait! Why did she turn back?!!”
As Wang Xixi and Little Moon watched the Wind God inch closer to the edge of the Boss zone, ready to shower her with praises, the Wind God suddenly slammed on the brakes and turned back to face the Boss, not too far behind her.
The two suddenly choked up, completely stunned.
What’s this nonsense? She was just about to escape, and now she’s turning back to show off?
Did she feel like it wasn’t thrilling enough to just run the whole way?
Did she really want to chat it out with the Boss after all that? No need for that, girl!
Wang Xixi hesitantly asked Little Moon, “Hey, Little Moon, what do you think the Wind God is thinking right now?”
“I…”
I have no idea!
At this moment, they were thoroughly baffled.
In fact, their mental journey mirrored that of the audience.
When the Wind God first suggested retreat, no one thought she was serious; she didn’t really run either! When the Undead King fell, she actually leaned in to take a better look.
Then, she teleported and immediately took off.
Okay, she ran, but she also made the Boss chase her. That was confusing, to say the least.
Fortunately, those two things could somehow be explained away.
But then, as she was running, she just suddenly stopped! She dragged the Boss up a tree and then started a one-on-one duel!
The results of that duel were fantastic; she got to chop the Boss’s wings.
And then she decisively made a cool escape.
Oh! So, by chopping the wings, it makes it easier to run! Fair enough, I’ll buy that.
But, girl, you’re on the verge of escaping—why stop now?
Sister, do you want to run or not? Just give us a solid answer!
Or else, this round of antics will chalk up so many commentators in one go!
Little Moon started an internal storm, mentally scolding Big Brother over and over. Finally, she braced herself and said, “I think the Wind God definitely has her own ideas. But I’m not on her level, so it’s hard for me to understand.”
While that was technically a pointless remark, it perfectly captured the current predicament.
If you weren’t at Yuliya’s level, you could never pull off something like this.
Any other player would have bolted, but she clearly concocted a bold plan.
One-on-one against the Nightmare God’s shadow!
So she turned around, focusing intently on the Nightmare God.
The Nightmare God certainly didn’t expect this little rascal would turn to face it.
Not running away? Instead, approaching me intentionally?
In that case, say hello to d*ath!
It raised a hand, materializing its bl**d-red sword.
Yuliya stood her ground, both hands out, one up, one down, striking a stance.
The air became thick with tension, and the two commentators grew serious.
“While we don’t understand, we can see that the Wind God is indeed preparing to confront the Boss head-on.”
“The Boss has drawn its blade, but surprisingly, the Wind God doesn’t seem to be drawing hers. It looks like she’s adopting a Tai Chi-like stance.”
The distance between them closed rapidly. The Boss held the sword close to its chest, muttering something.
It was gearing up for a finishing blow.
In an instant, the two figures collided, the Nightmare God stabbing out with a flash of speed.
Yuliya slowly raised a hand, muttering: “Golden Zero — Huan!”
She actually greeted the sword with her left palm.
The bl**d-red sword pierced through her palm with ease, but was deftly redirected.
The Nightmare God was far stronger than Yuliya, but the force of that charged stab, upon piercing her palm, suddenly evaporated, leaving it under her control.
At the same time, Yuliya’s right hand seized the Nightmare God’s left shoulder.
“Gotcha,” she whispered, her tone playful and tinged with sarcasm.
The next moment, both figures vanished into thin air.
A space transfer, or a blink, if you will.
They then reappeared in the distance, outside the Boss zone, near the city walls!
Wang Xixi gasped: “What! The Wind God actually dragged the Boss out of the Boss zone! And the moment they left the Boss zone, the Boss dropped to level 38!”
“The Wind God is ready for a direct one-on-one with the Boss!”
But for Yuliya, that distance wasn’t enough.
She grasped the Boss and shouted: “Turn!”
An unknown force sent the Nightmare God flying, spinning over the city wall gap, and smashing into the inner city area.
With the Nightmare God’s level 40 strength, tossing it while at level 38 was a stellar move!
Golden Zero — Huan Turn, achieved with the price of taking a hit to leverage the power!
But others wouldn’t recommend that; they’d be instantaneously deleted.
Yuliya leaped onto the city wall, gripping her bl**d gem, using up her last two heals, and instantly boosted her health back up.
She looked down at the Nightmare God just getting back on its feet, a grin breaking out across her face.
“Chased me all this way, feeling good? Now it’s my turn to throw some punches!”
