Chapter 209: This Dungeon Isn’t Difficult at All
Seizing the moment while the players blocking the door were still processing what was happening, Yuliya swiftly dashed past the area.
Arriving at the dungeon entrance, she jumped right in without a second thought.
By the time the others realized what was going on, she had vanished into thin air.
“Soloing? That was lightning speed! It has to be a solo run!”
“If she fails, whether by ditching class or getting knocked out, she’ll just return to the starting point. We absolutely must block this door today!”
“But what if she clears it? Clearing it would mean a direct teleport back to town.”
“Even the Wind God couldn’t possibly solo this.”
“Absolutely impossible! If four of us can’t even handle this dungeon, she won’t be able to either. If she clears it alone, I’ll eat this very dungeon!”
Although they planned to block the door, even if the Wind God showed up, there wasn’t much they could do. Charging in was out of the question. Not only would that make no sense, it was also questionable whether they could even win.
All they could do was act like a bunch of wannabe tough guys, snickering in the corner.
But blocking the door was still necessary; at least they’d feel like they accomplished something.
Meanwhile, Yuliya entered the dungeon solo.
Before her was a massive space. Behind her lay a steep cliff, while in front was a terrain reminiscent of a limestone cave.
The dungeon was called Goblin Cave, but it was much bigger than just a cave.
However, it wasn’t open; it was lined with stone walls and columns, making it a perfect hideout for enemies.
As soon as she stepped into the dungeon, Yuliya sensed several hidden presences.
This kind of hiding might have given others a hard time, but for Yuliya, it was as if delicious snacks were concealed behind glass — only making them look tastier.
Of course, snacks were something she could spot no matter where they were hidden.
Time to strike!
Before the lurking goblins could set their trap, danger struck from behind.
“Gee?! Hah!”
One hit, one k*ll!
Then came the second, then the third.
“Level 15 enemies? A bit weak.”
At level 19, mowing down level 15 minions felt like slicing through butter.
Her stats might have dropped compared to her time in the Ruinous Country, but at least the enemies were equally underwhelming.
Her equipment was also way fancier than what she picked up back in the Ruinous Country.
Her skill set was the same, and the end result made combat a breeze.
Plus, there was a hidden advantage:
“This is fantastic! Goblins! Shorter than me! Absolutely adorable!”
Not having to look up at her enemies was a huge advantage! Both psychologically and physically!
“Whew, since you’re all so cute, I’ll show some mercy.”
Then she shouted into the depths of the cave: “I’ll only k*ll those taller than a wheel! The short ones are safe, don’t worry!”
Of course, she got no response.
But no worries, Yuliya went looking for them herself.
Found them! Two goblins under a meter tall!
So she lunged forward, unsheathed her sword, and swept them away.
“Oops, my wheel accidentally toppled over. Hehe!”
Yuliya sped through the dungeon like a cheetah.
What was a major threat to other players — the terrain, traps, and ambushes — was as harmless as a kitten to Yuliya.
With her Golden Eyes, she could spot hidden dangers lurking behind her, and she smashed through them with sheer force.
Before long, she reached the first major obstacle.
She had read up on the strategies for Fiery Conflict Across the Sky and knew that taking another step forward would summon a rain of arrows, and just past that was a goblin camp.
Typically, four players would need to step in simultaneously to redistribute the firepower, ensuring none faced an overwhelming hail of arrows.
If they timed it wrong and someone stepped in early, the fourfold density of arrows would leave barely any room to dodge, and a tank could take serious damage, compounded by poison, meaning certain d*ath.
But anyone familiar with Western projects knew: when you see a b*llet hell, don’t panic! Many of those projectiles were just for show, and there were plenty of gaps to avoid them.
Just a simple up-down, left-right, ABAB, and you’re clear! Easy peasy.
So…
“Seems pretty straightforward. Way easier than in the West.”
And Yuliya had another advantage: her hitbox was smaller.
So let’s not keep mentioning height; being short has its perks.
Hoping everyone was just a 1.3-meter-tall loli in her mind…
After dodging the rain of arrows, the rest was a piece of cake — just mowing down a bunch of grass.
Once she passed the first challenge, she casually brushed off a few ambushers and poison users.
Before long, she reached the second challenge, where four level 16 elite monsters awaited.
Typically, four players would spread out to engage each and then find a way to take them down together, picking them off one by one.
But Yuliya was on a tight schedule, so…
You thought she’d let them gang up on her?
Wrong!
She opted for a surprise attack!
A surprise attack comes with high damage bonuses, and even a one-hit k*ll mechanic; that’s the real speedrun secret!
The gang of the Fiery Conflict tried that tactic too.
When they entered the dungeon for the second time, they specifically formed a team of assassins and ambushed an elite monster, seriously wounding it, vastly reducing their clear time.
But Yuliya’s attack style was different; she quietly circled around, got close, and then… backstab!
Connecting perfectly, she hit the red dot in her Golden Eyes and… one k*ll!
At the same moment, the other three elite monsters woke up and sprang to their feet.
But Yuliya executed a swift flash.
No one said you couldn’t ambush a wary target; a true assassin can take down even the most alert enemy.
In their blind spot, out of nowhere, another surprise attack!
Another red dot hit, another instant k*ll.
Then came…
“Golden Seventh Style — Shadow Strike!”
That was the purest form of ambush. Emanating from their shadows, it was the real deal!
In an instant, she took down three elite monsters, leaving the last one flabbergasted.
Where did my three big brothers go? How did they just disappear?
It was so shocked that it forgot to attack and also forgot to escape.
Not until a sword came flying at its face did it snap back to reality and hurried to respond.
And the impact shattered its resolve.
It had managed to block, yet somehow its right arm got lopped off.
With a few simple moves, the last elite fell.
Before it died, it only had one thought — this must be rigged…
Yuliya collected the loot from the four elite monsters into her temporary bag. It would transfer to her main inventory after clearing the dungeon.
“That was a bit too easy.” Yuliya yawned, “It’s really not as hard as everyone on the forums claims!”
“People couldn’t even clear it with four in a group? No way, really?!”
“Hehe…”
