Transformed Into a Fallen Princess, I Sell Nuclear Bombs at the Beginner Village – Chapter 306

Chapter 306: The Power of the Golden Law

After spending three days in the Crimson Empire, Edward and Yuliya set off for their final destination.

At the farewell, Ansar nearly burst into tears, pleading with his dear niece to stay just two more days.

Once Yuliya promised to pop by with a Teleportation Array whenever she had the chance, he finally let them go.

To this, the ministers and guards trailing behind just pretended not to see anything. I mean, the sandstorm was pretty intense; they all closed their eyes for a moment.

As Ansar said, if anyone thought his behavior was inappropriate, he’d make sure they’d regret it!

The journey to the Empire of Desolation went smoothly, for the most part.

The worst part of this entire trip? The Ember Domain, where the humans lived. Strangely enough, the monster-infested areas were a breeze!

Talk about irony, right?

No major incidents occurred in the Empire of Desolation, and their royal family was much more laid-back compared to the previous two kingdoms.

After the chaos of the first two, Yuliya couldn’t help but wonder if this normalcy was actually abnormal.

Yuliya couldn’t help but ask, “Are you sure you’re okay here, teacher?”

“What do you mean ‘okay’? Do I look like some kind of nobody here?”

Is it all about connections when you’re out in the world? No way—it’s all about skill!

“I know all the old-timers in this empire, but with their style, it’s all formalities. They’re as tight-lipped as a clam.”

Same process, same matters—Yuliya was growing familiar with it all.

She clearly laid out the situation and made sure to explain the Outsider business, letting the country’s managers judge for themselves.

Next up, the Heroic Spirit Tower!

Fortunately, no major ruckus occurred this time.

Though there was a brief crowd dispersal, it was handled with a smile and even a reasonable excuse—nice job, guys!

Yuliya entered the Heroic Spirit Tower, her heart brimming with excitement as she anticipated meeting some vital people.

But alas, things didn’t quite go her way.

The last person she encountered was named Hobert.

“Wait! Hobert?” Yuliya’s eyes widened, “Do I know you?”

“Yes, Your Highness, we were quite acquainted back in the day.”

“Sorry, I don’t remember.”

“No worries, I’ll introduce myself again,” Hobert smiled slightly. “I’m the Captain of the Royal Guard of the Golden Kingdom.”

“Captain of the Royal Guard… So you must be one of the royal family?”

The Royal Guard is the last line of defense for the king—only someone utterly trusted can take on that role.

“Indeed. Technically speaking, I’m the king’s cousin.”

“Uncle,” Yuliya said respectfully.

“Oh, it’s nothing. I was just lucky enough to stand out from the family and be given this heavy responsibility. No need for such formalities, Your Highness.”

Yuliya nodded slightly.

But in her heart, every soldier of the Golden City deserved her respect.

In Yuliya’s mind, the one she really wanted to meet at this final stop was her father and mother.

Not exactly what she wished for, but at least she got to see another royal family member.

“Why are you here, Uncle? Shouldn’t you be with Father?”

“Ah.” Hobert sighed heavily. “Before the final battle, the king sent everyone away from the Golden Kingdom. In the end, it was just him and the queen facing that terrifying enemy. At the last moment, I couldn’t fulfill my duty, and I feel awful.”

“…”

Yuliya stayed silent for a moment before saying, “Father must have had his reasons for this arrangement; there’s no need for you to blame yourself.”

She sighed sadly, “If only I could talk to them directly.”

“This…” Hobert looked at Yuliya’s sorrowful expression, hesitating to speak.

Yuliya questioned, “What’s wrong?”

“You… might not be able to see them anymore.”

“What do you mean? I know they’ve passed away, but aren’t there still possibilities in the Heroic Spirit Tower?”

“…” Hobert paused, then bit the b*llet and said, “Their souls never entered the tower.”

“Didn’t enter? Then where did they go?”

“… They were… devoured.”

“Devoured…” Yuliya’s pupils narrowed in shock, “Devoured by a ‘dragon’?”

Hobert was silent.

Silence was his answer.

“How do you know? Did you see it with your own eyes?”

“Sort of… Their battle was so earth-shattering that the whole area was affected. You could see it from really far away. So…”

Yuliya stumbled back a step.

Hobert rushed to hold her up. “Your Highness!”

“I’m fine,” Yuliya waved her hand. “Really. Just let me sit for a moment and think.”

She plopped down, resting her forehead on her hands, utterly speechless.

As she interacted more with the Golden Kingdom folks, she gradually felt some familiar sensations creeping back in, as if scenes from the past were replaying.

She had seen portraits of her father and mother in the Golden City.

However, she couldn’t quite remember their faces—she just recalled one being valiant and the other gentle and beautiful.

Yet, whenever she approached their portraits, a vague but warm feeling would wash over her—a nostalgic touch.

Familiar yet foreign, close yet distant.

“They’re gone… Perhaps that’s fine too.”

Honestly, even if their souls were still around and they entered the Heroic Spirit Tower, it would just mean another fleeting meeting.

Whether she got to see them or not, the difference wouldn’t be that significant.

She could walk all on her own.

“Your Highness…”

“I’m fine,” Yuliya stood up. “Hobert, I have some fragmented memories. You seem to have been a kind of teacher to me once?”

“Your Highness is incredibly talented; I wouldn’t dare claim to be a teacher. I merely guided you occasionally during practice.”

“Well then, I suppose your main purpose here is to train with me?”

Hobert nodded. “Exactly.”

“So, what do you want to train me on?”

“Other than the Golden Eyes, I can help with everything else. But the main focus has to be on the advanced applications of the Golden Law.”

For Yuliya at this point, the Golden Law was equivalent to her spatial magic talent, just that her talent level was extraordinarily high.

But for the esteemed royal lineage of the Golden Kingdom, this ability was practically a national treasure—if it were merely the top-tier spatial magic talent, to be honest, that felt a bit underwhelming.

“Your Highness, do you know that the Golden Law can rival the powers of a Divine Being? It’s the equivalent of rule-based power.”

“According to the king’s words, your talent in this field far surpasses his.”
