### Chapter 319: Don’t Play with Lolis; It’s Dangerous!
Before her stood a round building that was definitely a bit… wonky. It looked like it had seen better days and was lacking the most fundamental feature of a building—an entrance! There wasn’t even any fancy decoration to make up for it.
However, the main structure bore a striking resemblance to the heroic towers in the Jade Emperor Kingdom and, well, all other kingdoms too. Each country had put its own spin on their towers, so differences were expected. Strip away the upgrades and what’s left? Yup, just like the decrepit tower right in front of her.
And given that this used to be the royal capital of the Golden Kingdom, having a heroic tower here was a no-brainer.
So… can we go inside?
Yuliya stepped closer.
No response from the system. Typical. The usual methods were a bust, so she had to come up with something special.
Time to investigate this tower like a true detective!
The heroic tower—an example of the Golden Kingdom’s tech wizardry—was undoubtedly loaded with safeguards. Clark had mentioned before that many of these towers had been just gathering dust over time, buried under history’s rubble.
Buried in sand, underwater, or even underground.
If he said that, then the tower’s original builders surely thought these things through.
Lost in thought, a few adventurers wandered into the area.
This was a pretty out-of-the-way location, with not many monsters kicking around, and the army had passed through swiftly. To players, it was considered a “broke” area.
So, what’d Yuliya do? She came here to avoid interrupting others.
But of course, adventurers still showed up!
Too many adventurers were over at the popular spots, scrambling for loot only to end up empty-handed, so they figured they’d take a chance here instead.
And then…
“Hey, hey! Look over there! Isn’t that His Highness the Princess?”
“What’s she doing here? Is she here for loot too?”
“Loot? No way! She’s definitely here observing something!”
They noticed that Yuliya seemed deeply engrossed in thought.
Their eyes trailed over to see… nothing they could make sense of…
Suddenly, a rock nearby flipped over.
Out popped a creature that looked like a giant mouse—bigger than an adult human too!
The adventurers recognized it immediately. This monster dug tunnels, was speedy, and super sneaky, often ambushing players.
Players often got ganked by these things while trying to scoop up loot, and they absolutely loathed them.
Cleaning up the stragglers was mostly aimed at these little troublemakers.
And now one showed up.
Without hesitation, the players readied their weapons to take it down.
The monster glanced at the three charging towards it, all aggressive-like, and thought to itself, “Duh! Time to skedaddle!”
Turning tail, it spotted another person at a distance—a little one.
Uh-oh, trapped!
But whoa, hold on! That little one looked feisty and tiny.
The monster made a snap decision and bolted in the opposite direction.
Three against one? Clearly, it would go for the easy pick—the pint-sized snack!
“Yikes! The monster’s heading toward His Highness the Princess!”
“Oh no! It’s too fast! We can’t catch up!”
The third person yelled, “Your Highness! Watch out! There’s a monster!”
The trio bolted forward, but they were no match speed-wise.
This was bad!
Their princess looked like a delicate little loli—what if the monster actually gobbled her up?
They were panicking!
It was obvious the monster had been alarmed by them and was headed straight toward the princess!
If anything happened to her, they were toast!
They could only pray that His Highness had some secret skills to keep her safe.
After all, she was the legit princess of an empire; surely she had some kind of trinket that activated a super defense when danger approached, or maybe even summoned a powerful ancestor!
Isn’t that how it always goes in stories?!
And Yuliya, as it turned out, indeed had some tricks up her sleeve.
Twelve of them, actually.
Summoning ancestors? Not a chance; Yuliya was the ancestor!
Yuliya sensed the commotion and turned around.
She saw three adventurers tailing a monster, screaming their heads off.
What in the world was going on? Some kind of cosplay roleplay?
Seriously, just squash the little rat already!
She huffed, clearly annoyed.
Noticing the monster closing in, she took a step back and casually sidestepped.
Just in time to dodge the monster’s big, gaping jaws.
“Stop bothering me!”
The monster, still in disbelief that its fatal attack had missed, suddenly felt a sharp pain in its forehead.
Then it shot back like a rocket!
The trailing adventurers were left utterly dumbfounded.
What just happened?!
Whatever it was, it was a good thing—they immediately slowed down.
“Wait! No! You seem to have some skills! Come back!”
Yuliya raised her hand.
The monster, now spinning in the air, suddenly halted and took a sharp turn, barreling right back toward Yuliya.
The three players were on high alert, bracing for some monster mayhem when they were hit with a wave of confusion.
What the heck? It was flying back again?!
Are we playing badminton here?!
But there was no shuttlecock on our side!
Then they finally got a clear view.
Yuliya was standing next to the monster, looking like she was deep in thought.
Could it be…? Did our princess just do that?!
And she even shouted for it to come back!
Holy smokes! Our princess has some serious skills!
Word magic? Or some celestial pull? Or maybe she was just the queen of magnetism?
Whatever it was, snapping a screenshot was a must!
Yuliya gazed at the floating, immobilized monster and circled it once, then glanced over at the heroic tower.
Maybe it was worth a shot!
In one swift kick, she sent the monster flying.
At that moment, a spark of understanding surged through her.
With a flick of her wrist, she slammed the monster against the heroic tower’s outer wall.
She pressed down hard, deforming the monster’s body as it screeched in agony.
That sound made the three adventurers’ hair stand on end.
What in the world is happening?!
Is she mad? Is she punishing that monster?
Wait up, will she punish us too?
Though they were kinda into the punishment thing, could she please do it personally and not make it a long-distance affair?!
Nope, actually, a long-distance punishment could be kind of thrilling.
While the three were lost in their creepy panic thoughts, Yuliya furrowed her brows.
This didn’t quite feel right.
So…
She clenched her palm tightly.
With a “poof,” the monster’s screeches cut off, and so did its life.
The monster’s body began to dissolve.
The scene left the adventurers completely stunned.
Holy moly! It’s dead?!
They lost all interest in their previous mental gymnastics.
Did she really just take that monster out in one hit?
Considering this creature would’ve required their combined efforts to take down, and now, the princess had done it in a blink?
Does this mean she could just take them out too?
What’s the point of playing if they could end up as a monster snack?!
