Transformed Into a Fallen Princess, I Sell Nuclear Bombs at the Beginner Village – Chapter 330

Chapter 330: Can the City Hold? (Happy New Year!)

Yuliya slid down smoothly and landed on the city wall’s flat surface.

Okay, her recent actions might not exactly scream “Princess,” but with the urgency of the situation, no one was paying much attention to that.

They hurried forward and inquired, “Your Highness, did you see anything?”

Even now, tremors were still palpable in the air.

With a serious face, Yuliya gloomily replied, “Monsters. Not just any monsters. Stronger than before—more like a dark mass out there.”

Everyone’s faces fell at her words.

Fiery Conflict Across the Sky immediately yelled, “Information! Get moving! Is there any living scout out there?!”

People, including him, frantically started contacting one another, sending private messages, group messages, and public announcements all at once.

Eventually, they received a response.

“Report! A large number of monsters approaching! Southeast, ninety kilometers away!”

“Report specifics on the monsters!”

“They’re tough! High levels! All above level 30! Elite monsters! So very many elite monsters! And a bunch of BOSSes! This BOSS, it…”

“What about it?!”

After several queries with no reply, a response finally trickled in after about ten seconds.

“Sorry, I got shaken to d*ath underground. The levels are just too high. There’s one BOSS we’ve seen before, level 40, the Sandstorm Dragon!”

They shared this news in nearby channels.

Seeing the messages from each other, they all fell silent.

Level 40… Sandstorm Dragon…

And that was just one of them—there were many BOSSes to handle.

Though it had “dragon” in its name, the Sandstorm Dragon was essentially just a gigantic desert lizard.

On their very first day in Golden City, they’d spotted this BOSS among the storm clouds far off while exploring the furthest they could from the city.

Back then, they hadn’t dared to get close; they only organized their group later to venture over.

They barely caught a glimpse of the Sandstorm Dragon before they all bolted in a hurried escape.

Some got consumed by the storm in their panic, returning prematurely to Golden City.

Lucky for them, the Sandstorm Dragon had shown no interest; otherwise, they would have been wiped out.

This incident left shadows of doubt in many hearts.

And now, those shadows were thickening like dark clouds, blotting out the sun.

Just the presence of the Sandstorm Dragon was a monumental headache.

Even now, the number of people who could deal effective damage to it was only a few tens of thousands, and for the vast majority, their damage output was forcibly capped at “1.”

Attempting to tackle it like they would in the Beginner’s Village—grinding it down one sword slash at a time—was laughable. Most people didn’t even qualify to get close!

On top of that, there were other BOSSes and more high-level elite monsters lurking about.

The brief joy of securing a small victory evaporated in an instant.

It felt like they’d just cleared a casual difficulty level only to be immediately thrust into hell mode.

How were they supposed to fight this…?

Yuliya was silent too.

She had seen the messages, yet found herself at a loss for words.

Everyone stood in quiet contemplation, perhaps some were chatting via messages.

After a moment’s thought, Yuliya prepared to break the silence. Just as she opened her mouth, she noticed something and turned her head.

“What’s that?”

She questioned, piquing the curiosity of others, effectively breaking the heavy atmosphere.

Everyone looked over as well.

The approaching figure moved at astonishing speed, covering several kilometers in the blink of an eye, landing at the edge of Golden City.

When she saw the newcomer, Yuliya was surprised and a bit pleased, “Teacher?!”

It was Edward.

He came to a sudden halt, standing next to Yuliya: “It’s me.”

As he landed, the others finally recognized his face.

Fiery Conflict Across the Sky instantly knew who he was—or rather, recognized him by name.

Wasn’t he just an NPC from Beginner’s Village 66?!

And he was the Princess’s teacher?!

But then again, it made perfect sense!

If the Princess was in the Beginner’s Village, naturally her teacher would be too, right?

And judging by the way he just moved, he was clearly a top-tier expert! Having him in Golden City was like hitting the jackpot!

However, Edward’s first words doused their excitement like a bucket of ice water.

“Yuliya, come with me. This place is too dangerous; the city won’t hold.”

“Huh?” Yuliya paused, “It won’t hold? Why not? Can’t you manage it, Teacher?”

“I tried; it didn’t work.”

Edward hadn’t teleported directly to Golden City; he had navigated through the portals and desert following Isaac’s rough directions.

After getting here, he had only taken a quick look around before deciding to check out the desert.

Golden City revealed nothing much to him at a glance or was perhaps too complex for him to decipher quickly—better to leave it to the kid.

But the desert? Now that was intriguing.

He was a well-known adventurer in his younger days, and with many of his worries sorted out now, he found himself with free time and renewed curiosity.

Until the situation in Golden City escalated.

He had been merely spectating the defense battle from the very start until now—he’d engaged some distance away, clearing out a few monsters.

But there were just too many; he couldn’t keep up!

A top expert could sway the outcome of a battle, but only under normal circumstances.

For example, taking out the lead enemy or delivering widespread intimidation.

The whole point was to crush the enemy’s morale and make them scatter.

Edward had tried those tactics, but they were in vain.

These monsters seemed to have lost their minds, disregarding everything, charging straight for Golden City.

Their survival instinct was practically non-existent.

What Edward didn’t know was that for the monsters, breaching Golden City was the ultimate survival instinct.

In summary, with such a massive number of monsters going berserk, even the strongest could only protect a small area.

The monster wave would swallow up most of the city.

“I can’t leave,” Yuliya shook her head.

She couldn’t possibly leave now.

Edward frowned and asked, “Why?”

“You could say I’m one with the city; I can only be here.”

“Even after I’ve clearly stated that this city won’t hold?”

Yuliya closed her eyes and then nodded heavily, “Yes!” Happy New Year! The author is still diligently typing away during the New Year’s festivities; so touching, sniff sniff~
