Chapter 360: Steam Princess
With the task accomplished, she returned to the other two.
Elia exchanged glances with her.
All set? Let’s go!
“Little Yuliya, it’s noon already! Don’t you think we should go for lunch?”
“Absolutely! It’s time to eat! There’s a restaurant I love so much; you have to try it, Sister!”
“Great! Lead the way!”
Little Yuliya bounced out with enthusiasm.
Nothing was more important than food!
Little Moon lagged behind, grabbing the neatly packed books from the boss before catching up with the other two.
After they left, the boss counted the money, beaming with joy.
Turns out my instinct was spot on! Those are definitely the daughters of rich families; they didn’t even try to haggle!
Four sets of books, a total of sixteen volumes; I made quite a bit!
However, his joy didn’t last long when a group of six “hat uncle” types walked in from both sides.
The boss froze, eyes wide.
The leading hat uncle stepped forward, flashing a badge, “Routine inspection.”
Wait a minute… is a routine inspection supposed to be this dramatic?
If it weren’t for him saying it was an inspection, I’d think I was harboring a fugitive murderer in my shop!
Soon, the inspection was complete, and they confirmed there were security issues.
The boss was taken away, and his store temporarily sealed off.
By the time the trio hopped onto the Orca Spirit’s vehicle, the boss was still scratching his head, trying to figure out what on Earth he did to deserve this uproar.
I was just skimming the edges a bit! Isn’t it normal to turn a blind eye now and then?
But he deserved it for being caught doing something shady.
So much for the money he just made; it’d all be gone in fines, and he might even have to pay extra!
The three friends were blissfully unaware of the chaos behind them, happily heading towards Little Yuliya’s recommended restaurant.
Though it was supposed to be a treat for Elia, we all know who would actually end up eating the most!
Even though Little Yuliya insisted they could teleport directly to save time, Elia and Little Moon quickly put the kibosh on that idea.
Let’s try to keep it low-key outside, even if Little Yuliya was absolutely confident nobody would notice them.
Elia and Little Yuliya walked in front while Little Moon followed, carrying a massive bag of books.
For her current physique, hauling a bag of books was a piece of cake.
Even though Little Yuliya mentioned a couple of times she could neatly store them in a bamboo basket or use space magic to tuck them away,
There was no way she was letting those gems out of her sight!
Three stunningly fashionable ladies sashayed down the street, one of them “struggling” under a hefty bag.
Naturally, this drew attention from passersby, possibly triggering random side quests—like well-meaning big brothers offering to help out.
The prettier they were, the higher the triggering chance.
And trigger they did!
A trio of guys with flashy hairstyles, some sporting gold rings while others sported piercings, approached with gentlemanly vibes, asking, “Hey, ladies! Where are you headed? Let big brothers help you carry that and give you a ride!”
Without waiting for an answer, they lunged to grab the bag.
They tugged hard twice but… nothing happened.
Elia frowned, but Little Yuliya tugged at her arm, “It’s fine, Sister. Everywhere has its share of troublemakers.”
“You’ve got a point there.”
Elia’s expression regained its composure.
Observing their antics provided a glimpse into the more genuine side of society.
Little Yuliya turned around and playfully said, “Oh? You guys seem to be in a bit of trouble. Need a hand?”
She was really itching to call them “losers,” though.
But in front of Sister Elia, she had to show a bit of decorum; after all, she was a princess.
Little Moon, expressionless, told Little Yuliya, “You guys go ahead. I have something to take care of; I’ll catch up.”
“Okay, Little Moon, don’t take too long!”
“I won’t.”
The “Helpful Trio” immediately sensed they had hit a brick wall.
They tried to back off, but before they could take two steps, the woman with a strength that wasn’t to be trifled with blocked their path.
“Uh, ladies, we didn’t do anything wrong. Can we just forget this? Three against one doesn’t sound fair…”
Little Moon wasn’t interested in their lame excuses; she sprang into action.
Not that she intended to hurt them; she just wanted to teach them a little lesson, so she held back to avoid actual harm.
But!
Their clothes and hairstyles? Totally wrecked.
A hunk of hair missing here, with tears and holes in their outfits, making them look like they just joined a ragtag gang.
“Ugh, how unlucky!”
After Little Moon left, they trudged down an alley, faces grim, preparing to make a stealthy escape.
It was pretty normal for them to encounter bumps on their “helpful missions”—just a matter of learning from the experience and being more cautious next time.
But as soon as they entered the alley, they were greeted by a ring of hat uncles, some even brandishing guns. They went completely blank.
Did we just break a major law?
And all for acting like street performers?!
Without a word, they found themselves cuffed and carted away.
Little Moon picked the hefty bag of books back up and scampered to catch up with the other two.
But she didn’t notice she had lost one book; there were only fifteen left in the bag now.
That little loli had Elia on one side and was fidgeting with her right hand.
Her spellcasting range was pretty extensive now; in less than a hundred meters, grabbing a book was as easy as pie, right?
But she couldn’t do it in front of her sister—need to be sneaky about it.
Sticking close to her sister and Little Moon, how could she observe safely?
The answer was simple: I can just head into the Jade Emperor Kingdom and take a peek!
Stuffing the book into the Golden City.
Meanwhile, back in the Jade Emperor Kingdom’s royal palace, Yuliya slowly opened her eyes.
“How interesting; I’m quite curious to see what this is.”
She reached to her chest, pulling out a book.
Glancing down, she saw the seven big words on the cover.
“…”
No worries, let’s keep reading.
She flipped through the pages, turning them faster than Elia could.
Thus, by the time she realized what she was actually reading, she had already finished the entire book.
In the next moment, a flush appeared on Yuliya’s cheeks.
She made a snap decision.
Sleep time, goodnight!
Forced shutdown!
At the same time, in the Blue Star, Xu Xiaoya froze mid-action.
Elia looked over, puzzled, just when Little Yuliya’s face suddenly turned beet red, her neck and even everything below turning crimson fast.
With a “whoosh,” steam puffed from her head, and the next moment, she plopped down on the ground, looking at Elia, “Argh!”
