Transformed Into a Fallen Princess, I Sell Nuclear Bombs at the Beginner Village – Chapter 366

Chapter 366: Still Just Planning to Go with the Flow

Suddenly, Yuliya had a thought and asked in her mind, “Sister Tong, don’t you have the ability to block the calamity?”

After the first World Boss in the Beginner’s Village, Yuliya had learned about the situation in Blue Moon City, and Sister Tong had mentioned similar things.

“I can block it to some extent, but it’s just a delay. At most a few days, not much use,” Sister Tong replied.

Understanding the situation, Yuliya walked down the street, still deciding to stick around for a while and see their offering ceremony.

It was scheduled for five days later and would last for two weeks.

Yuliya had a few goals for her outing:

First, to learn about the divine and demonic matters;

Second, to find traces left behind by the Golden Kingdom;

Third, to visit the Elf Forest and meet the Primordial Elf Astathin.

And last but not least, the most important goal – to find the place where her memories were sealed.

Of course, the desire to simply see new things and gain experience could count as a goal too.

Yuliya found an inn, rented a room, and settled in for some rest.

Though she could return to Golden City to rest, it made more sense to adapt to the local way since she was already outside.

In fact, she didn’t really need to rest; staying outside allowed her to be more attuned to her surroundings. She was aware of even the slightest rustling in the wind.

The nights in this border town were very quiet.

Daytime was hardly any louder.

Normally, border cities, especially near the gate, would gather a lot of adventurers.

For adventurers, monsters were their enemies but, from another perspective, also their friends — their means of survival.

Many spent their lives battling monsters.

But here, due to the upcoming offering ceremony, the number of adventurers was surprisingly low.

The next day, Yuliya returned to the Adventurers’ Guild.

Fura was still at the front desk.

Upon seeing this mysterious little sister, she furrowed her brow.

“What are you still doing here?”

“I want to see the offering ceremony.”

“You didn’t understand what I said yesterday, did you?”

“I did, but I’m an adventurer, always seeking some excitement.”

“You… sigh.” Fura sighed, “There are indeed a lot of freaks like that among adventurers. But you’re young; you could go look for something better.”

“Don’t worry, I can take care of myself.”

“Sigh, which adventurer doesn’t feel that way? In the end, how many of them actually come to a good end, huh?”

Yuliya just smiled in response.

“How about you tell me about the situation around here, Fura? I could use some preparation.”

In truth, Yuliya didn’t have much to prepare for; with her strength, even if she were to tackle monsters during the offering ceremony, it would be like casually defeating an elite monster.

But she wouldn’t just do that; if calamity struck, she would ideally provide some covert assistance.

Calamity was a projection of the divine and demonic realms; who knew if this calamity would summon a bodily presence similar to the last Dragon God incident?

Better safe than sorry.

As the time for the offering ceremony approached, the town gradually became livelier.

But the liveliness was filled with hostility and resentment.

Many sought to escape this event, but there were very few adventurers who could actually slip away.

Everyone knew the ceremony was near, understood what would happen, and wanted to run.

The ruling authorities were just as aware and knew many would attempt to flee, so there was no way they would let people go easily.

The power of adventurers seemed as weak as a three-year-old child in front of a nation.

This was the typical situation; if you were a player from a place like Jade Emperor Kingdom, things might be a little different.

Finally, the day of the ceremony arrived. All the adventurers in the city were organized into teams, gathering near the city gates to prepare to set off.

Yuliya was among them.

To her left were a few other adventurers; from their conversation, they seemed to have come from other realms.

Their expressions were clearly more anxious and fearful compared to the locals.

“I heard we’re all going to be sacrificed for the offering! We’re doomed!”

“What kind of luck is this to end up here! I said I was from Simon Kingdom, and they completely ignored me!”

“Sigh, it’s too far; the locals basically haven’t even heard of Simon.”

“What do we do? Am I going to d*e here?”

There were four of them: three were low-ranking Gold Levels, and one was a mid-ranking Gold Level.

That was pretty decent strength among adventurers, and they didn’t look that old.

If not for that, they wouldn’t have come out to train in the first place.

After some thought, Yuliya chimed in, “I heard that adventurers in this offering ceremony don’t necessarily d*e; usually at least half make it back alive.”

Actually, according to statistics, adventurers typically had a 20% d*ath rate when doing tasks outside.

This so-called “offering” simply doubled the d*ath rate, which was somewhat misleading and simply used to scare people.

It could be considered a relatively dangerous mission.

The rewards for the mission were indeed quite generous.

When ordinary folks heard “offering,” they often thought it meant certain d*ath.

In reality, it just gathered people together; more people meant a higher d*ath rate, leading to many casualties.

Adventurers often died too, but more scattered, so there wasn’t much visual impact.

“Half of us will live? Really?!”

“Really, I found out a lot from the Adventurers’ Guild. So you don’t need to panic that much.”

“Oh, really?!” The female adventurer among them looked much happier.

She glanced around and realized that they were among the stronger group.

If half of them were to d*e, the ones who died first would most likely be the weaker ones, so they had a high chance of surviving.

“Great! We still have a chance!”

She exclaimed and then quickly covered her mouth upon realizing.

Many surrounding her cast glances over, but soon turned away.

“Sorry, I got a bit excited,” she apologized, lowering her head, and then asked, “Are you… a newcomer too?”

“Yeah.”

“Just like us, a bit unlucky. I’m Dazzy.”

“I’m Riya.”

“Dazzy, huh…” Dazzy glanced at one of her companions, who slightly shook his head.

“Riya seems a bit younger than me, so your strength might be lower. Why don’t you stick with us? It’s safer that way. Consider it a reward for providing us information.”

Yuliya’s openly displayed strength was only Silver Level; any higher and it would attract attention.

Just like these four.

No matter how she disguised her voice, unless she truly brought out her powerful version to speak, others would tell her age just by the sound.

She was just here to check out the offering ceremony and didn’t want to stir up trouble, just going with the flow.

Saving someone didn’t make much sense; if one less person died here, one more would likely d*e in the upcoming wars.

So, she nodded.

What could be better than tagging along with four Gold Level adventurers and going with the flow?
