### Chapter 385: Just Messing with You
After stuffing him with some tasty treats, Yuliya snapped her fingers.
Di suddenly relaxed, regaining his mobility.
Time to get moving and digest that feast!
“What did you just feed me…?”
“Just some of your own goodies. Experience the effects for yourself!”
“You j*rk!”
With a surge of power, Di lunged at Yuliya.
Yuliya dodged effortlessly.
But then, he pivoted sharply, making a beeline for the exit.
For a long-lived monster like him, self-preservation was paramount—escaping was the number one priority.
But Yuliya snapped her fingers again.
The doors slammed shut, leaving not even a crack for a mouse to squeeze through.
This whole place had turned into a sealed container—Di couldn’t fly even if he sprouted wings!
He halted, gloomily staring at Yuliya. “Do you really want to make an enemy of the Celestial Wing Society? You may be powerful and have broken through to the Legend level, but you’re still just a Legend in the face of our massive Celestial Wing Society.”
“How about this: let’s both take a step back. You let me go, and this place is all yours.”
Yuliya snickered inwardly, but she furrowed her brow on the outside. “Is this Celestial Wing Society really that strong?”
Di felt a surge of hope, thinking she might be biting the bait.
Typically, someone at the Legend level wouldn’t easily make an enemy; they had greater ambitions.
“Of course! Out of our twelve saints, nine are already at the Legend level! Even I am not far from it. The only reason you can trap me today is because this body isn’t well-suited for me, combined with my energy consumption being too high.”
Yuliya saw right through that—it was just bravado.
Di was probably stuck at the Emerald level for ages; even if his body didn’t conflict, he wouldn’t stand a chance against a competent Emerald level upper tier.
Of course, if you included the power of foreign gods and demons, that might add some weight to his argument.
“Nine Legends? And what’s that… your master? If your Celestial Wing Society was really that powerful, why are you still twiddling your thumbs here?”
“We each have our own tasks. This is but a routine exercise.”
Yuliya nodded. “I see.”
“Now that you understand, just open the door, and I’ll be out of your hair immediately.”
Yuliya shook her head. “I’m still a little confused. It feels like you’re holding back some details. There’s definitely more secrets about this Celestial Wing Society that I’m quite curious about.”
Di frowned, taking a half step back. “What do you mean by that?”
“I mean, if you don’t spill the beans, I’ll find out another way. It’ll just be a bit more troublesome.”
In the next moment, Yuliya vanished from her spot and reappeared right in front of Di, pointing at his forehead.
“You! You really want to go against our Celestial Wing Society!”
“No, you’ve got it wrong. It’s your Celestial Wing Society that wants to go against me!”
“You’ll pay for your arrogance!”
After her finger touched him, Di immediately felt something shifting inside his body.
The curse he had suppressed earlier was now reactivating.
Though he had added poison to the food, it was more akin to a curse.
He could usually keep it at bay due to his understanding of it, but it was now completely out of control.
And after Yuliya’s touch, a golden light flickered in her eyes as she observed him, monitoring the changes within his body.
Di gritted his teeth and produced a pill in his hand, swallowing it without hesitation.
“Legend level? Just a little brat without any fear! Let me show you the true power of the Celestial Wing Society!”
This was his last resort, which came at a heavy price, but he no longer had a choice.
He needed to make this clueless fool understand the consequences of messing with the Celestial Wing Society!
“Feather God, descend!”
He bellowed, and a wave of black energy surged, engulfing nearly half of the white space.
Yuliya took a few steps back, watching closely, murmuring, “Feather God? Doesn’t seem like the same god that invaded the human continent before. But definitely not anything wholesome either.”
The black mist swirled, coalescing into a sphere that encapsulated Di.
Within the sphere, dark shadows twisted and finally stabilized.
When the mist cleared, a humanoid creature with a pair of black wings emerged.
With wings sprouting from its back, black feathers on its head, a sharp beak, and claws in its hands, it bore a vague resemblance to Eber.
“Monsters?” Yuliya frowned but soon shook her head. “It’s more likely an embodiment of the God’s shadow.”
It was like using its own body as a vessel to bear the power of Calamity—a kind of divine descent ritual.
However, compared to the descent ritual of the Dragon God in the Desert Realm, it was light years behind.
That was a descent of the Dragon God itself, whereas this was probably just a fragment of that so-called “Feather God.”
So, the Celestial Wing Society’s so-called master is merely a fragment of the Feather God.
That means there’s a connection, but not a direct one.
Honestly, that wasn’t too shabby.
Di was entirely oblivious to what Yuliya was thinking. Right now, he was overflowing with the Feather God’s power, feeling stronger than ever.
He screeched, “Fool! Let me show you my true strength!”
He raised his hand, summoning countless black feathers that darted toward Yuliya.
Yuliya casually flicked her wrist, whisking away a good chunk of them, then tossing the remaining feathers back at Di.
That kind of taunting only stoked the flames of Di’s fury, sending his temper skyrocketing.
He charged at Yuliya with reckless abandon, completely disregarding the danger.
Yuliya easily blocked two of his attacks while retreating, circling around him.
“Is that all you’ve got?”
“Weren’t you so cocky a moment ago? Now all you can do is run?”
“You’re just a mouse scattering around!”
Di yelled, chasing her down.
Suddenly, Yuliya spun around, dodging his claw strike, and slapped him across the face. “Man, you talk too much!”
The slap left Di a bit dazed.
His anger flared up again, but the next moment, she slapped him hard on the other side, and finished off with a punch to his chest, sending him flying far away.
The damage was nothing, but the humiliation was off the charts.
“You j*rk!”
Di unleashed all his strength once again, forming a half-meter-wide black energy sphere aimed straight at Yuliya.
The energy within the sphere surged; if it exploded, nothing within a hundred meters would be safe.
“Oh, this ought to do.” Yuliya smirked.
She pushed her hands forward, opening a white light curtain that formed a door, swallowing the energy whole before sealing it shut.
The once ferocious black energy dissipated in an instant.
Upon witnessing this, Di’s pupils contracted.
She was actually still hiding her strength!
Just as he was considering his next move, he suddenly stiffened, feeling as though something had gripped his heart.
“What… what’s happening?”
“Guess it’s the effects of your own goodies kicking in. Quite amusing, isn’t it?”
His own curse had fully unleashed.
