Chapter 413: The Academy Head
Okor smiled at Yuliya and said, “Don’t worry, our evaluation is absolutely fair. There were over ten instructors scoring on the sidelines during the assessment. Half of them had already given you an excellent rating when you requested she be allowed to re-enter the arena.”
“And the other half changed their scores to excellent at the last minute. Your performance has received universal recognition.”
This unconventional way of thinking was actually one of the key points of the assessment.
The only rule was that mutual harm was not allowed.
This design allowed all candidates to express themselves freely. As long as they acted, they would earn points, and ultimately be rated based on those scores.
Yuliya had, of course, figured out the rules, but she was completely clueless about the scoring weights.
That kind of thing just couldn’t be guessed.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have gone out of her way to make such a big deal out of things.
If she had just blended in at the corner, she would have been fine until the end.
So, she vigorously shook her head, “But I really don’t know anything! I just happened to think the big sister’s badge was pretty, so I wanted to take a look.”
“…”
Such a reason? Who would believe that?
Okor frowned, “I want to ask, why don’t you want this excellent score?”
“It’s a hassle! I’d rather just stay quietly.”
Now Okor understood.
So she was one of those who preferred to keep a low profile.
Not a terrible mindset, but a bit premature. Young people should fight and strive for things.
“If you insist, that’s fine, but are you sure you want to give up your privileges?”
“Uh… what privileges are there?”
“For example, extra gold coins and resource allowances each month.”
Yuliya shook her head, “Those are all external things. I don’t care.”
Translation: How much can you give me? That little amount won’t even fill my gaps.
“Well, how about extra library access?”
“Ah…”
“And most importantly, you can request one-on-one tutoring from the academy head.”
“Teacher, actually I can recognize my own excellence,” Yuliya suddenly said earnestly, “and I always wanted to keep a low profile. But perhaps this is the so-called light that can’t be hidden.”
Okor: …
Heidis: …
That was a fast change of face!
“Then, does Classmate Riya have any objections?”
“Absolutely none. If it’s gold, it should shine.”
Okor didn’t know what to say anymore, and Heidis in the back couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing.
Yuliya raised her hand and asked, “Excuse me, can I meet the academy head as soon as possible?”
“Are you in a rush?”
“Yes! The academy head is an elf!”
Okor chuckled lightly.
As a human, he could understand the desire to meet an elf.
“Actually, we have several elven instructors and a small number of elven students here. You might see them often in the future.”
“Still, I want to meet the academy head.”
“Alright, follow me then.”
Okor led them out to the right.
This path led to the interior of the academy, where new students were queuing for enrollment-related matters.
Heidis stayed behind, while Yuliya continued to follow Okor.
After passing through a teleportation array, they arrived in front of a bell tower.
“The academy head usually stays in the highest room of this tower.”
Okor simply stated, before leading her inside.
He settled Yuliya in a room, then left for a short while before returning.
“The academy head just happened to have time now; I’ll take you to her.”
Finally, in the room at the top of the bell tower, Yuliya met the elven academy head.
She had long, teal hair and wore a black robe.
“Academy head, this is the student who received an excellent rating in this first assessment, Riya.”
The academy head raised her hand, back still turned.
Okor shot Yuliya a knowing look, then turned and closed the door behind him.
At that moment, the academy head slowly turned around.
She appeared to be a young elven woman, looking no older than in her thirties, with a warm smile on her face.
Just as Yuliya was about to speak, the academy head spoke first.
“I felt a familiar aura the moment you entered this tower. It’s quite nostalgic.”
Yuliya sighed in relief, “Are you referring to this?”
She radiated a soft silvery glow.
“Indeed.” The academy head nodded.
But in the next moment, as she saw the glow intensifying, she suddenly stood up, “Wait!”
Yuliya immediately withdrew the light, making it disappear.
“Wait, are you… are you the complete Resonator of Lord Astathin?”
“That’s what an elf named Lofini said.”
“I see… So you’re the one our ancient ancestor has been searching for. It’s you!”
Since she could resonate perfectly with Lord Astathin, passing the entrance exam at Saint Felis Academy with an excellent score was certainly a small matter.
“I stopped you earlier because I was worried your influence would be too great and other elves in the academy might notice, causing unnecessary trouble.”
“I understand.”
The academy head gestured for Yuliya to sit down, adjusting her posture, “Let me introduce myself. My name is Mitina, the current head of this academy, and a member of the elven royal family. Lord Astathin is my direct ancestor.”
“My name is Yuliya, but I now go by Riya to enter Saint Felis Academy.”
After listening to Mitina’s introduction, she roughly understood.
No wonder this academy had such a high status; it had a lot to do with this academy head and the heads before her.
The elven royal family carried the bloodline of the elven divine beings.
And this elven divine being had bravely withstood a long-standing enmity with the dragon god and continued to survive, so her strength was definitely extraordinary.
“Then… Classmate Riya, what is your purpose for coming to Saint Felis Academy?”
“First, to interact with the elves; second, I indeed need to learn some things, and this seems like a great place; and third… to keep an eye on someone.”
Inif.
Now that she was here, Yuliya didn’t intend to just ignore her.
As a fellow princess of her country, Yuliya’s homeland had already perished, leaving her wandering.
She hoped that Inif, who had shared some time with her, wouldn’t fall into a similar fate.
“The last two points are fine, but regarding the first point, you probably want to ask about how to get to the Elven Forest, right?”
“Exactly.”
“Unfortunately, I haven’t been back in a long, long time either. It’s really difficult to return after leaving the Elven Forest; you can only rely on luck. I can’t help you with that.”
“But rest assured, you will receive guidance from Lord Astathin, and the doorway to the Elven Forest is right before you.”
