**Chapter 418: All Present and Accounted For**
Finally, Yuliya threw a mental whack that interrupted their spellcasting.
“Listen up! You all better get along, or else… I’ll just toss her out!”
*Cough cough…* Inif cleared her throat, returning to her usual self. “It’s this little kitty causing trouble; I had nothing to do with it!”
“I’ve always listened to Lady Riya’s words! Only you could possibly cause trouble!”
“Ha!”
“Hmph!”
*Thud!* Yuliya knocked again. “You still at it?”
Finally, they settled down.
“From now on, we’re all roommates. Let’s get along, okay?”
Kaise raised her hand. “No!”
Inif replied nonchalantly, “No problem.”
Just then, there was another noise at the door, and another person pushed it open.
She was carrying a bunch of boxes, blocking her face and making it hard to see.
“Sorry, excuse me, I have a lot of stuff…”
“I’ll help you!”
Kaise dashed forward to grab one of the boxes.
“Thanks! I just enrolled today… huh? It’s you, Little Sister.”
Yuliya gasped. “It’s Big Sister!”
Yep, it really was that “Big” Sister—Heidis!
What a coincidence! All familiar faces!
Just to clarify, Yuliya only applied to be in the same room as Inif; the rest were pure happenstance.
Hearing Yuliya and Heidis talk, Kaise squinted. “You know each other?”
Heidis beamed a warm smile. “We met during the entrance exam, and this little sister helped me a lot. Without her, I’d have flunked!”
Inif glanced at Yuliya, smirking. “Riya really is helpful.”
“It’s just a coincidence! Totally a coincidence!”
Kaise suddenly asked, “Did Lady Riya send you here?”
“What? Lady Riya?” Heidis suddenly remembered this little sister’s name was Riya.
“Why would she send me here?”
Inif asked as well, “Did she give you any gifts?”
“Gifts? We just met, isn’t giving gifts a bit much…?”
At that, Kaise and Inif sighed in relief, looking triumphant as they held their heads high.
Heidis looked confused, scratching her head. “What’s going on with them?”
“Nothing, just ignore them. They act like this because they get along well.”
Heidis smiled, unbothered.
She noticed she was the oldest here and figured she should take it easy on them.
“I’m Heidis. Nice to meet you all!”
“Big Sister Heidis, this is Kaise!”
“Inif. By the way, I’m already in my third year at the academy.”
Translation: even though she’s a bit younger than Heidis, her status is way higher, and she’s definitely stronger than the other two. Call her Senpai!
“What’s with all these boxes, Big Sister Heidis? No storage supplies?”
Kaise glanced at the boxes, which contained just some basic stuff.
“Ha ha, where I come from is pretty remote, so we don’t have fancy storage supplies.”
“Oh… well, it’s not a big deal. If you ever need something later, just come find me!”
Kaise remembered how she barely had anything just a month ago, living in true remote poverty that hardly provided for her most basic needs.
But luckily, she met Lady Riya, who brought her to this new world.
“Thanks.” Heidis replied politely.
They helped Heidis unload her stuff into the last empty room and arranged things a bit.
During this, Kaise kept pestering Heidis with questions, trying to learn more about her.
Yuliya tilted her head.
Was this little kitty always this lively? Had it really only been a short while since they last met? What a personality change!
Looks like Kaistes really is a good place!
On the other hand, Inif just watched, only chipping in occasionally.
At this point, it was clear; the “Ice Queen” title wasn’t given lightly.
Yuliya understood.
After all, she was a princess from a major country, a future queen—there’s no way she would chat away with just anyone.
Saint Felis Academy always had royalty and nobles from all over, and they had their own circles.
But Inif was obviously a bit different from those people.
“Inif, I think you can relax a bit now. I trust I can keep you safe. Why not start with these roommates? You don’t want that Fenniss mocking you forever, do you?”
Inif sighed. “I’m already used to it.”
“Getting used to it isn’t necessarily good. I’ll help you.”
“…” Inif lowered her head, staying silent for a moment. “Alright, I get it.”
“Alright, alright, after all this work, everyone must be tired, right?” Yuliya suddenly clapped her hands to grab their attention.
“Kaise and Heidis, have you had dinner?”
“No, I went out for a bit but couldn’t find anything to eat.”
“Me neither.”
Yuliya’s eyes lit up. “Then perfect! Since no one has eaten, let’s have a welcome dinner!”
Kaise & Heidis: “Welcome dinner?”
Inif’s mouth dropped open. “Dinner?! You haven’t eaten?”
“Let’s just forget about that for now!” Yuliya puffed out her chest and then ruffled Little Li perched atop her head. “But Little Li definitely hasn’t eaten! Right?”
“Gah!”
Though the others didn’t understand what Little Li was saying, its gestures clearly showed it was happy.
“There’s a kitchen here! So let’s ask, who’s a good cook?”
Yuliya looked around.
Kaise? PASS! This little kitty can’t even cook up some leftovers!
Yuliya herself? Let’s keep that decision reserved.
Inif? She seemed competent, but you never know how much of that is bluff.
And then there’s Heidis. She looked super confident!
Heidis chuckled. “I’ll handle the cooking; it should be fine. But… what about ingredients? We probably won’t make it in time to buy any now.”
“I have them.”
Yuliya snapped her fingers, and a whole bunch of stuff fell to the ground with a clatter.
These were all things she had seen or eaten while out and about—interesting and tasty bits.
She always thought about bringing some back, just to see if she could whip something up.
And now… it was still here!
“So much?! What are these ingredients? I feel like I haven’t seen any before.”
“This one, is that pork? I rarely see this kind of meat!”
“And this, it should be water melon! Oh my gosh, there’s even heavenly fragrance herb!”
“Riya, where on earth did you get all this?”
Yuliya smirked, “Just picked them up or bought along the way.”
“I learned it from my teacher.”
Seeing Heidis’ knowledgeable expression, it was clear she had a decent understanding of cooking.
Looks like tonight’s going to be a feast!
“Big Sister Heidis, I’ll help you in the kitchen. Inif, you come too. Little kitty, go outside; no kitchen sneaking for you! Little Li even more so!”
“Ugh…”
“Grr…”
