### Chapter 429: The Useless Guy Said to Just Throw It
As soon as Yuliya returned to the dormitory, she noticed something was off.
And soon, the others noticed too.
“Riya, it seems like there’s some noise coming from your room.”
Yuliya facepalmed: “Oh no, I completely forgot about this.”
“What do you mean?”
“There’s another person at home. No wait, it’s a little guy!”
With that, she rushed over and opened the door.
The others trailed behind, three heads peeking curiously around the doorframe.
There was Yuliya, cradling Little Li, rubbing its head and babbling away.
Meanwhile, Little Li was scratching and pounding its little fists against Yuliya’s chest.
But apparently, it just ended up hurting its own paw.
“Gah!”
“Alright, alright, Little Li, I’ll treat you to a feast.”
“Goo…”
After a while, she finally calmed Little Li down and handed over some ingredients to Heidis to get cooking.
I provided the ingredients, so it totally counts as treating, right?
This morning, when I left, I thought bringing Little Li along would be inconvenient, so I left it in the dormitory.
But this little guy, if left unchecked, would definitely cause a ruckus.
With its abilities, it could get just about anywhere in the academy—like a mischievous little ghost!
And who knows? It might just end up causing a scene in the territory of some legendary-level instructor.
Emerald-level might not catch it, but legendary-level? They’d definitely have to put in some effort.
Then it could either be dissected or, worse, bunged into a pot!
Now that would be a disaster.
So, when Yuliya left, she had locked it up tight.
And as luck would have it, it had been locked away all day.
Little Li was bored to d*ath and probably starving; you just knew it was ready to throw a tantrum.
But honestly, even if I, Yuliya, forgot you, is that really not your problem, Little Li?
My intentions were pure; it was all for your own good.
Talk about a caring mother hen!
Suddenly, a flurry of punches had Little Li looking utterly dazed.
Its little brain was clearly adorned with a massive question mark.
Then Yuliya gave its head a gentle rub.
“Okay, okay, just wait a bit longer, and we’ll eat! I’ll even let you use the chopsticks first. Happy?”
“Gah!”
Alright, that settled it. Dealing with a child’s little tantrums was actually quite simple.
The two onlookers watched the whole process, and then they exchanged glances, eyes drifting over to Little Li perched on Yuliya’s head, staring resolutely at the kitchen.
While they couldn’t fully grasp the nuances of Yuliya and Little Li’s conversation, they were certain that Little Li had been completely bamboozled.
And wouldn’t you know it? Yuliya was the first to grab the chopsticks to eat because Little Li didn’t know how to use them.
But Little Li was far too focused on the important task at hand: stuffing its face!
Once the meal was over, Yuliya felt Little Li getting heavier on her head, and she hesitated.
They came from the same place, I can eat without gaining weight, so Little Li should be the same, right?
“Gah!!”
“Grow up? What’s the difference between growing up and gaining weight?”
“Gah, gah, gah!”
“But I’m not growing up either.”
“Gah gah!”
“What did you just say?” Yuliya grabbed it by the scruff and brought it up to her eye level, staring into its eyes. “I permit you to reorganize your words.”
“Goo…”
“Hmph! You do have some sense.” Yuliya settled it back down on her lap.
Kaise & Inif: Though they didn’t understand Little Li’s language, they somehow felt like they comprehended everything.
Meanwhile, Yuliya started to think about how to deal with this little guy.
Having it around was indeed quite the hassle.
Should I just toss it back in the Golden City? No way, that would just lead to chaos!
Wait, ME?
Yuliya suddenly clapped her hands: “Got it!”
The clap startled Little Li, who flinched.
“Hehehe, Little Li, over there is a great place!”
That area had its own single dorm, plus the research room and an office.
Most importantly, it was usually blissfully undisturbed.
Sometimes I’d have a class, and other times, I’d be free all day.
Unlike here, where I was busy all day long.
With that thought, Yuliya dashed back to her room to start packing.
Not that there was much to pack; she just needed to give the impression of tidying up.
Meanwhile, a certain “fairy” standing just over 1.5 meters tall opened her eyes.
Euphilia grimaced, reluctantly getting to her feet and heading outside.
“Euphilia, it’s pretty late, do you need to go out?” asked the guard stationed at the door.
“Yup. Thought of something.”
She replied curtly and hurriedly left.
After 8 PM in the academy, there was a curfew, and roaming about was not allowed.
But this rule was enforced more strictly on students; instructors had a lot more leeway.
Euphilia normally made her way through the Teleportation Array to the student dorms.
She encountered a few guards along the way, showed her ID, and continued on without issue.
When she arrived at Yuliya’s building, Yuliya opened the window above and literally tossed Little Li out into the air.
Euphilia easily caught it and took a look.
“Goo?” Little Li tilted its head in confusion.
Euphilia shushed it with a finger, then tucked Little Li safely into her pocket before turning and leaving.
She was feeling a bit put out.
No one wants to be out late running errands like this.
But what could she do? It was all part of the job.
A few steps later, she suddenly heard someone call out nearby, “Hey, you there, please stop!”
Euphilia turned around, looking curiously at the few people rushing towards her.
From their uniforms, they seemed to be part of the Security Team.
“Please show your ID.”
Euphilia removed her hood and pulled out her identification badge.
“Oh, it’s Euphilia! So sorry to bother you, but we have to ask, what are you doing out here so late?”
“A student had something for me, but she can’t go out, so I had to make a trip. Why, what’s going on?”
“Well, there’s been a security alert in the student dorm area, and we came to check it out.”
“What kind of alert exactly?”
“The barrier can’t specify the exact situation, so we have to come and investigate.”
“I see.” Euphilia squinted, looking up.
The entire Saint Felis Academy was shrouded in a huge barrier, serving both defense and monitoring purposes.
Just like what that “Boom Boom Club” pulled earlier in the day, which triggered the alarm.
But it seemed this barrier could use a bit more intelligence; it didn’t have the discernment to tell what was happening.
Euphilia squatted down, bracing herself with one hand on the ground, and closed her eyes to keenly sense the surroundings.
Before long, she stood up again and pointed in a direction.
“The specific trigger for the alarm is in that area, but it’s moving in that direction now. After that, I’m not sure.”
The Security Team students immediately brightened up and hurriedly nodded, “Got it! Thank you very much for the help!”
“Let’s go take a look!”
“Euphilia is amazing; she figured this out!”
“She’s so kind, coming out this late to check on her students.”
Listening to their chatter, Euphilia shook her head and turned away to leave.
