Transformed Into a Fallen Princess, I Sell Nuclear Bombs at the Beginner Village – Chapter 467

Chapter 467: The Experiment

Thanks to Yuliya’s “Divine Mark,” the vengeful spirits were splitting themselves up so much that they ended up dying faster than expected!

They split into hundreds, if not more!

But hey, when you’re mowing grass, who cares about the numbers, right? Just chop ’em down in one swoop!

In no time, the three adventurers had wiped out all the tiny vengeful spirits.

“Riya little sister, you really are a student of Saint Felis Academy, aren’t you? Truly extraordinary!”

“Your magic is incredible! Without you, we’d be in a real pickle.”

“If only I could learn magic too, haha, just kidding. Not gonna happen, right?”

Yuliya smiled politely.

Danny, on the other hand, was busy observing the situation with the vengeful spirits.

Just as that big vengeful spirit split into countless little spirits, he noticed they were all the souls of beastmen.

From both the Wolfmen and Leopardmen tribes.

“Looks like that vengeful spirit was simply a collection of all the spirits here. No wonder we didn’t encounter any monsters on our way here; they were all hanging out here!”

“So that’s why the big spirit was so powerful.”

Though the folks present seemed to be average at best, compared to the monsters they’d faced before, its strength was significantly raised.

“The Evil Spirit Altar has this kind of ability. If we move ahead, we should be able to find the main altar and see what’s up.”

Danny lit up his illumination spell and led the way.

Sure enough, they didn’t walk far before reaching a large hollow space, at the center of which was a gigantic raised platform.

Although it looked pretty much wrecked and had weathered over eons, you could still tell it used to be an altar.

That massive vengeful spirit must have come from here.

Seeing the place, the three adventurers’ eyes sparkled with excitement; they were itching to rush forward and start digging around—classic adventurer behavior.

But they looked to Danny first.

The professor from Saint Felis Academy hadn’t rushed in yet, so who in their right mind would dare charge in? Talk about tempting fate!

Danny took a moment to circle around before finally nodding. “Looks alright. That was the last of them.”

That was the signal, and the three adventurers dashed forward, ready to rummage.

“Be careful! Don’t break the altar! That altar is the real treasure here!”

Danny glared at them, clearly irked.

This was why he didn’t like adventurers—they didn’t know anything yet wanted to touch everything!

Hearing that, the trio scooted back a bit to keep rummaging.

Yuliya stepped in with a laugh. “Professor, let them be; we should mind our own business.”

Eventually, the adventurers found a strange little trinket. Danny took a peek, but it didn’t pique his interest much.

As for the altar, it was a treasure that they certainly couldn’t haul away.

“This looks even more primitive than what the White Spirit Race would make. I wonder what they’d think if they saw this?”

Listening to Danny, Yuliya gazed at the massive altar, lost in thought.

It was obviously something the gods had messed with.

Primitive meant powerful.

So why would the divine beings go through all that trouble?

Honestly, the entire beastmen race seemed quite odd to Yuliya.

Their origins were strange, their processes even stranger, and their purposes—all over the place.

It was as if those gods just got bored after a hearty meal and made this for entertainment!

But that couldn’t be true.

The so-called gods had far more purposeful motivations than humans; they could persist for countless years just to achieve a goal.

Because of the vast timeline, Yuliya couldn’t really piece all of this together yet.

After a little while, Danny made some markings in the area, then carried on forward.

Now it was exploration time!

But as they progressed, things didn’t go as smoothly since they kept running into monsters.

After a while, Danny had another discovery.

Looking at the symbols around, confusion turned to joy: “That one was from the White Spirit Race, and this one belongs to the Twilight Clan!”

As they delved deeper, they found symbols from even more races.

Currently explored sections of the Underground Ruins seemed to be divided by regions.

The initial area belonged to the beastmen themselves, followed by blocks dedicated to other races.

But no matter the ritual of each race, they all involved beastmen.

This was clearly the beastmen’s battleground.

Such a discovery could serve as decisive evidence that the past great wars were, in fact, influenced by the gods.

Throughout their journey, Yuliya had been trailing Danny, observing the peculiarities he noted.

From her human perspective, these rituals were quite bizarre, while Danny had just grown accustomed to it all.

After experiencing five different regions, Yuliya suddenly had a lightbulb moment.

She grabbed Danny and started doodling on the ground.

She quickly sketched a rough map of the terrain of the zones they’d passed through.

“Here’s the entrance, here’s the regions of various races, and this is the connecting passage. This… I think this looks like an experiment!”

“An experiment?”

Danny paused, then recalled the layout of the research building back at the academy.

Comparing it… it did resemble!

“These are basically laboratories!”

Danny exclaimed, but quickly hushed himself.

He glanced at the three adventurers, who hadn’t noticed—or just didn’t care.

Adventurers were here for treasure.

“Are you saying that those gods took… their followers to conduct experiments?”

Such a statement was controversial; if some religious folks heard it, they’d definitely label him a heretic!

Even in the Theology Academy of Saint Felis, it would be frowned upon.

But Danny wasn’t from the academy; he was after the truth of history.

From an experimental perspective, it made sense.

If their experiments required d*ath, corpses, or souls, one of the simplest ways to achieve this was to incite wars.

The cause of war might be the gods needing to conduct some experiments. But if that were the case, a new question arose: what were they experimenting on?

Danny wasn’t sure, but Yuliya was slowly piecing it together.

One had to think about the pursuits of the divine beings.

Like humans, they had their passions.

The pursuit of power, of status.

In other words, divine rights and divine positions.

The Dream God Ayelus had lost his divine rights and standing to the Dragon God.

And now here, with the beastmen at the forefront, the rituals being conducted involved other races.

Could it be that the beastmen’s god had some designs on those other race’s deities?
