“What do we do now? It’s dangerous underground!”
Yuliya was alert, eyeing their surroundings. “Maybe we should get out of here first?”
Sinful shook his head. “The way back might not be safe either. Besides, I have a special connection with the other two adventurers; I can feel they were teleported a bit deeper in.”
“The professor might be there too. Honestly, heading deeper might actually be safer.”
Upon hearing this, Yuliya almost cracked up.
Wow, someone actually said going deeper is safer—sign me up for that thrilling adventure!
I mean, even a three-year-old wouldn’t buy that, right?
But for a sensible adult like Yuliya, it was just right.
“Is that so…?” Yuliya hesitated to respond. “Then how about we go deeper and check it out?”
“Don’t worry, Little Sister Riya, I’ll ensure your safety. If we run into any trouble, leave it to me,” Sinful declared, thumping his chest with a righteous air.
Yuliya nodded solemnly, entrusting her back to this suspicious big brother she barely knew.
As they aligned their goals, off they went!
“But I can only roughly know the direction; I’m not sure how to navigate. Do you have any good methods, Little Sister Riya?”
Adventurers may have abundant exploring experience, but that’s all about wandering around aimlessly, which is time-consuming.
A professional archaeologist can determine the route much faster based on environmental changes.
“Although I’m not as good as my mentor, I’ve been to many places with him, so I’ve picked up some skills. I’ll do my best!” Yuliya vowed, eagerly taking the lead.

They agreed and continued ahead, one in front of the other.
Yuliya wanted to see where the sly fox would lead them and if there were going to be any big surprises inside.
But before any surprise, she prepared a few small “unexpected gifts.”
She pretended to mimic Danny’s method, glancing left and right, poking at totems and rocks; she really did look like an archaeologist.
However, in reality, she didn’t understand many of the symbols.
Her way of finding paths was much simpler—stretch her senses and sweep the area; everything within a kilometer was crystal clear!
Then she specifically chose the oddly suspicious paths.
After all, they had an agreement: I lead, you handle the monsters!
You can’t expect a cute little Gold Level girl like me to deal with monsters, can you?
“Hey, big fox! A monster!”
“Stay back; I’ll handle it!”
Three Gold Level monsters? No biggie; he took them down effortlessly.

After catching her breath, Yuliya noticed Sinful was panting heavily, unable to suppress an eye-roll directed at her.
How did I not notice you were this troublesome before?
“Did you notice there seem to be more monsters than before?”
Well, no kidding! Only a short walk and we’ve faced three to four waves already!
But Sinful held back, maintaining his patience. “Have you discovered something?”
“The previous areas were clearly defined, but now it seems they are mixed together.”
“Oh, so that’s how it is?”
“Yeah, and it might get even messier from here. This is a process of moving from order to chaos. We should prepare ourselves; in the worst-case scenario, we may need to head back.”

Looking at Yuliya’s serious expression didn’t seem fake, so Sinful finally nodded, “I understand. But we still have some time; don’t feel pressured. If anything goes wrong, just leave it to me.”

Yuliya cheered internally while nodding solemnly on the outside, “Uh-huh! I’ll do my best!”
As they advanced, the situation unfolded just as Yuliya had predicted: the deeper they went, the tougher it became.
The frequency of monster encounters increased, and their strength became formidable.
Fortunately, it seemed Yuliya was good at hiding; not only the monsters but even Sinful could barely track her when distracted.
So, all the pressure was piled on our big fox brother.

Taking advantage of that little glow, Sinful barely saw the monster’s silhouette and took it down in one blow.
Overall, Yuliya perfectly fulfilled her responsibilities as the navigator, but any other tasks she almost always replied with—sorry, can’t do it.
And then it was showtime for Sinful!
I have to say, Sinful really was impressive.
Although he was just a beginner at Emerald Level, he was definitely at the top of his class.
He was the all-round warrior type, ready for all sorts of surprises.
But being an all-round warrior means he’s still a warrior—he was significantly weaker in magic.
