Chapter 476: Multiple Powers
Yuliya had been grappling with that bizarre beastman—or what you could call some sort of “beast god”—for a long time down here in this underground lair.
At first, she didn’t see this weird beastman as a god.
Because, if it were a god, it was way too weak.
Gods and demons, whether they were combat powerhouse or just slightly less so, at least existed on a mythical level above legendary.
But this guy here, no matter how you looked at it, was at best still legendary.
You couldn’t even say it was some god’s projection like the Calamity from the Jade Emperor Kingdom.
That kind of projection doesn’t need to eat; it’s purely a consumption body.
But this strange fellow, right after showing up, started absorbing Sinful’s bl**d right in front of her, and thereafter it was continuously drawing energy from who-knows-where.
Its power was getting stronger and stronger.
Plus, it was initially sealed away.
Now, the situation looked like it had been sealed for ages and was hungry.
Faced with such an enemy, Yuliya thought for a moment and decided to go on the offensive.
Strike while the iron is hot.
In its weak state when it first came out, its battle power was no match for Yuliya whatsoever.
And, indeed, she gave it a solid beating.
However, no matter how much Yuliya hit it, it just wouldn’t d*e!
Magical bombardment could blow it apart, but after a while, it would just recover.
Physical attacks only left scars, and honestly, they were less effective than magic.
And after being attacked, that bizarre beastman wasn’t just a sitting duck.
It could fight back.
That weird crimson around them? Yep, that was its masterpiece.
If you touched it, you’d get corroded. The once chaotic, wrecked area was now much cleaner, and even the walls were smooth.
And the space was noticeably expanding.
Left with no choice, Yuliya set her sights on the third party still hanging around, the foxman Sinful.
But this guy had a tongue as tough as iron, refusing to spill anything, insisting on the same four words, “I don’t know.”
Plus, Yuliya noticed that the bizarre beastman clearly looked at Sinful after taking hits.
Remembering its actions when it first awakened, Yuliya immediately realized it was probably hungry again.
So, without hesitation, she knocked him out and carried him away.
After a bit of stalemate, on the other side, Mitina found Euphilia and explained the situation.
Once she learned that a definite divine power had appeared, it confirmed that this bizarre beastman indeed had some characteristics of a divine being.
It wouldn’t d*e! Yuliya couldn’t shake the feeling it was like back when she was beating up Dragon God Shadow outside the Golden City.
Well, that made things easier—just drag it out and wait for reinforcements.
Pointing at herself.
She couldn’t figure out how to handle this creature, but Euphilia—or “Queen Yuliya”—could still manage it.
Now that reinforcements had arrived, it was time to deal with this guy properly.
In the end, battles between deities boil down to clashes of power.
Non-power energies have very limited effects on divine beings.
This is the so-called divine power’s suppression over human power.
And the Golden Law is on par with divine powers; it’s a force of rules.
The bizarre beastman’s power is that crimson corrosion surrounding them, and Yuliya’s first step in counterattacking was to neutralize a big chunk of it.
She pointed, and a golden shield enveloped Mitina.
Then, in a flash, she appeared in the thickest part of the crimson light.
That’s right, right where the bizarre beastman was.
Yuliya waved, and a giant golden sword danced to her whims, heading straight for the heart of the red light.
The crimson light responded, retracting like a beating heart, pushing back against the sword’s attack.
Every vibration sent waves of bl**d-red spreading out.
The golden light began to clash with the crimson.
Yuliya frowned in displeasure, then her body quivered: “Dragon Phoenix!”
“Golden First Style, Burning Sun! Smash!”
A point of gold light ignited on the sword’s blade, and a long dragon coiled around it, descending with incredible force.
A violent explosion of golden light obliterated a large portion of the bl**d light.
Moments later, with a satisfying crack, the red shield protecting the center developed cracks.
The next moment, it shattered.
The momentum of the golden light didn’t wane as it sliced straight for the central humanoid figure.
Not long ago, this thing was cocooned up, but now that protective shell was broken, whatever it was doing, it was going to get hit by this sword.
The bizarre beastman finally opened its eyes, looked at the descending giant sword, and let out an angry roar, reaching out to grab it.
Yuliya’s brows furrowed slightly.
That roar sounded strange, a little like a bear’s growl, quite different from its earlier sounds.
But that didn’t stop her from continuing her chop-down.
The giant sword swung down, hit, paused for a moment, then continued downward.
A violent explosion of golden light engulfed everything around, swallowing the entire domain of crimson light.
Like a dazzling sun, it was blinding, yet people couldn’t help but long for it.
Mitina shut her eyes, only peeking through her fingers after a moment.
Even she had never seen a battle like this.
Though she had dealt with a few divine incidents before, it usually involved piling up numbers to drag things out.
Divine beings consumed a lot of energy, after all, this was still the human world.
Those deities either couldn’t replenish their energy, or their sources had been destroyed, eventually leading to their natural demise.
But this time was clearly different—someone chose to go head-on.
Even if this “divine” being didn’t look that strong, it was still within the domain of gods!
Truly, this was someone Astathin had been searching for—a resonator.
But unfortunately, this strike seemed to be taken.
In the gradually fading light, that odd figure stood tall, while the sword shadow dissipated.
Yuliya was somewhat surprised.
That hit being taken wasn’t the issue; the beastman was clearly injured.
But the way it absorbed that hit was not normal.
Wasn’t its power supposed to be those crimson corrosive lights?
Normally, it should have used its power to defend itself.
Yuliya took a quick look around; most of the red light had faded, but there were still some lingering in the distance.
Its power was still running.
Before Yuliya could think it through, the bizarre beastman let out another furious roar, but this time it shifted to a tiger’s roar.
After a tiger’s roar, it pounced at Yuliya, and its body morphed, getting tiger stripes.
Yuliya felt a moment of daze, and by the time she snapped back, the bizarre beastman was already in front of her.
This was the tiger’s intimidation!
Although it caught Yuliya off guard, this kind of attack was hard to affect her.
Not only could she easily dodge with her teleports, but she could also hit back with a full-blown counterattack.
But Yuliya’s expression darkened.
Because this bizarre beastman was truly bizarre to the extreme.
It seemed to have more than one type of power!
