Villain Too Many Children of Destiny, I Choose to Lie Flat – Chapter 120

Chapter 120: If I Just Let Her Go, Won’t I Be a Big Loser?

Bai Feng pondered for a few seconds and, to his credit, left an impression that Zuo Qiu really did guess right.

Right now, he absolutely wasn’t planning to refuse.

After all, the system itself had stuffed him with Luck Points, and if he just let her walk away now, wouldn’t he be losing out big time?

Plus, although he left a little something inside Zuo Qiu to prevent her from leaking info about him, keeping her by his side was obviously the safer bet.

And let’s not forget—he totally wanted to smash that Black Lotus momma’s face in. When it came to dealing with demonic villains like her, who else but the Child of Destiny could pack enough punch?

His previous choice to save Zuo Qiu also had the nasty thought of having her fight Black Lotus for him.

The only problem? The loyalty of a Child of Destiny like her wasn’t exactly guaranteed.

Well, scratch that. Maybe he didn’t need to guarantee anything—just tie her up here and keep collecting Luck Points from the system. Ideally, once Black Lotus was dealt with, she’d just walk away, and by then, Bai Feng might already be a transformed god or even a refined Void Realm master. Bai Yu Mo would be looming on the horizon, too. Secret safe. No leaks. Easy peasy.

“Fine, I accept your proposal,” Bai Feng’s face flickered with a new, bright smile as he extended a hand to Zuo Qiu.

She heaved a tiny sigh of relief. She looked at his hand, hesitated a few seconds, then rested her face against his palm.

Bai Feng looked down at her. She widened her eyes, staring right back.

“What are you doing?” she asked, confused.

“Isn’t it obvious? It’s a handshake!” Bai Feng reached out with the other hand, grabbing her little face and giving it a fierce squeeze like she was a pet dog he was proud of.

“Since you’re so eager for a face-squeeze, I’ll give you a good one!” he said, grinning menacingly.

“… Sorry!”

After thoroughly “playing” with her, Bai Feng finally relinquished her head.

He sighed and asked, “Do you know how to get out of here?”

“No idea,” Zuo Qiu shook her head. “All I know is that this is a temporary space created by Black Lotus with some special spiritual apparatus.”

“A temporary space?” Bai Feng looked around the desolate environment. Apart from the ground, there was almost endless demonic energy.

Definitely not your average secret realm.

He remembered that temporary spaces weren’t very stable—breaking out shouldn’t be too hard.

Thinking of that, he first activated the Yin-Yang Pattern and scanned the surroundings. Soon, he found a few weak spots. After a few seconds of thought, he summoned Immortal Fire to burn the spiritual energy.

“Go. Burn the nearby demonic energy clean,” he ordered.

In the next second, the Immortal Fire shot straight up, roaring towards the direction he pointed.

As the demonic energy was incinerated, the weak areas began to twist and distort.

‘Told you it’s useful.’

Unlike stable secret realms, temporary spaces needed constant maintenance to stay stable. Bai Feng guessed that the demonic energy was one of the energy sources sustaining this space. Burn most of it, and the space would start collapsing for lack of energy.

He shot a glance at the frightened Zuo Qiu hiding behind him and warned, “Get ready to leave.”

“Yes, master,” she quickly nodded.

“Oh, right. You just reminded me,” Bai Feng suddenly reached out and grabbed the chain around her neck, pulling it in front of him. He stared into her scared eyes and said coldly,

“Don’t mention this in front of others. Don’t call me master either. Just say you’re my follower, or even a grateful servant, anything but ‘master.’ Otherwise, I’ll show you what a real b*tch looks like.”

“Yes, Young Master… no, Master,” she hurriedly corrected herself.

“Good.”

Bai Feng finally released the chain from her neck.

Left Qiu was more concerned about her dignity than her face; if others found out he had a girl he just ‘took in’ as a pet, his reputation would be toast—gone like a wet paper bag.

And who knows? Maybe in the future, he’d be stopped in the street by a Luck Child wanting to level up from experience points because they recognized his ‘companion’.

Oh, and the collar! He looked at her, tense and silent, then slowly reached out, placing a hand on her neck.

“Behave. I’ll take off the collar for you,” he said gently.

To prevent her from objecting, he added, “At least don’t wear it outside. You can wear it however you want in private.”

She stiffened momentarily but nodded without resistance as Bai Feng carefully took the collar off.

“Um…” Left Qiu pointed at the collar. “Can I keep this?”

“Huh? Sure, no problem.” Bai Feng casually tossed the collar over and continued, “Don’t forget what I told you—don’t expose us in front of outsiders, and don’t cause trouble for me.”

“Okay.”

She nodded quickly, not putting the collar into her storage pouch, but looped it around her wrist instead.

Bai Feng didn’t say much. As long as it wasn’t around her neck, it was fine.

Meanwhile, as the flames kept burning, the space twisted even more.

“Let’s go,” Bai Feng announced, grabbing her arm, feeling the slight weight of the jade he got from the Sect Master just in case. He also tightened his Bamboo Sword and stabbed at the warped space.

Crack…

The space in front of him suddenly riddled with cracks, then completely shattered, revealing a blurry street scene underneath.

He stepped forward.

Suddenly, he felt the ground spinning and his stomach churning.

Just before he was about to vomit, everything finally calmed.

“Phew, finally out,” he breathed deeply, suppressing the nausea rising in his throat.

He looked around and realized he wasn’t at the city lord’s mansion gate anymore. Probably because the temporary space was collapsing, he’d been flung somewhere else.

But at least, still inside the city.

He turned back to look at Zuo Qiu. She looked a bit pale but otherwise fine.

Feeling her discomfort, she explained softly, “I got used to it.”

“Oh,” Bai Feng nodded but didn’t ask further.

From her simple words, he could tell she had endured quite a lot. Had to be tough to survive Black Lotus’s hands.

Suddenly, an excited voice cut through the air:

“Brother?!?”

Bai Yu Mo was standing awkwardly on the eaves of a house, staring at him blankly then busting into a relieved smile as she jumped down and rushed over.

“Zuo Qiu.” Bai Feng looked at her for a moment. “Get ready.”

“Huh?”

She hesitated. Wasn’t that your sister?

But seeing Bai Feng’s unarguable expression, she clenched her teeth and drew her sword.

‘Is this a loyalty test? Whatever, I’ve chosen this path, no need to overthink!’

She stepped forward, charging straight at Bai Yu Mo.

“Oh, and by the way, you still can’t beat her. I’ll give you a buff,” Bai Feng snapped his fingers.

In that instant, the remaining Immortal Fire in her body ignited—a faint redness bloomed on her skin, hinting at an increased body temperature.

It was a clever little trick: combining fire with spiritual power, boosting her strength, and even adding flames to her unleashed energy.

Plus, since the Immortal Fire was contained inside her, no one would notice it.

Bai Feng transmigrated—and he has a younger sister born with Immortal Bones. He initially thought that as long as he clung tightly to his sister’s thigh, he could live a carefree life in this perilous world of cultivation. Until he woke up one day to discover that his mother was preparing to extract his sister’s Immortal Bones and implant them into him. Only then did he realize he was holding the villain script! Right at that moment, the System appeared. As long as he targeted any Child of Destiny and seized the Child of Destiny’s providence value, he could receive generous rewards. At the same time, however, if he plundered too much providence, it would draw the Child of Destiny’s wariness—or even outright hostility. Looking at the three Children of Destiny in this single city, Bai Feng decided—forget it! Whoever wants to be the villain can go ahead; there are already three Children of Destiny in this one city alone. He didn’t even dare imagine how many Children of Destiny might exist across the entire world. So, when the sects were recruiting disciples, he avoided that sect full of Children of Destiny. He also steered clear of those professions they frequented. Every day, he would just draw some ecchi arts, listen to music, and do whatever he felt like. Many years later, Tianji Tower had the opportunity to interview some Children of Destiny who were close to Bai Feng, asking them for their thoughts on him: Child of Destiny A: “No one understands Bai Feng better than I do. He’s nothing like the rumours that claim he coveted the Immortal Bones out of selfishness. On the contrary, he has no interest in Immortal Bones and has secretly been protecting his sister all this time.” Child of Destiny B: “Many people call me a Child of Destiny, someone fated by the heavens. But in my opinion, Brother Bai is the true favored son of heaven. He’s warmhearted and upright, walking the path of immortality with an ordinary body.” Meanwhile, Bai Feng, who was watching this interview, slowly tapped out a ‘?’ They’re slandering me! And you bunch of Children of Destiny—stay away from me!
