Chapter 326: Who exactly came up with the term “Fox Girl” and other such mysterious words?
Bai Feng, having just returned to the Heavenly Sword Sect, didn’t bother to rest. He pushed open Yu Yao’s room door and planned to inquire about those foxes from the Southern Region.
Just as he pushed the door open, a petite figure darted out of the house and charged straight at him.
“Junior Brother, you’re finally back!” Yu Yao immediately clung to him, her body wobbling as she looked him over with curious eyes. “Quick, let me see if you’re injured!”
“I’m fine. The Sect Master went with us to Eastern Continent,” Bai Feng said, reaching out and grabbing Yu Yao, who was glued to him. Without delay, he strode into the room and shut the door.
Yu Yao kept chattering: “It’s precisely because the Sect Master went with you that I wasn’t worried. You know, the Sect Master is famous for training disciples—especially his personal apprentices. Every time he heads out, they always come back a bit banged up.”
“…So that’s how it is,” Bai Feng muttered.
No wonder the Sect Master was so skilled—always aiming at stronger opponents and leaving the weaker ones behind. Turns out, he’s a habitual offender.
“Oh! By the way, since you’re in such a hurry to see me, it must be about those foxes, right?” Yu Yao, still clinging to Bai Feng, watched as he walked to the sofa and then placed her on his lap.
“Can’t it be because I miss my older sister?” Bai Feng teased.
“Huh? Really?” Yu Yao tilted her head slightly, giving him a sidelong glance. “Alright then, I’ll take it at face value.”
“I also brought some specialty snacks for you,” Bai Feng said, pulling out some dried fish and flavorful goodies from his spatial ring. Picking up a small fish, he reached toward Yu Yao’s mouth. “Come, give it a taste.”
“Are you sure you’re not giving these to Little Snow?” Yu Yao looked at the big bag of various dried fish and muttered quietly. Still, she opened her mouth and ate the fish Bai Feng offered.
“Well, Eastern Continent’s right by the sea, so it’s got to be seafood specialty, right?” Bai Feng chuckled and explained. “How does it taste?”
“Mmm, sweet and salty, with a bit of spicy kick. Not bad,” Yu Yao nodded.
“Then have another one.”
Bai Feng picked up another dried fish and held it near Yu Yao’s mouth again. She cast him a quick glance, feeling a little shy, then quickly opened her mouth and bit down.
“Good, good, let’s talk about those foxes from the Southern Region now,” she said while chewing and pushed his hand away. “I’ll eat this later.”
“You’d better store it carefully so Little Snow doesn’t see,” Bai Feng laughed. Then he held out another dried fish for her.
“I got it, I’ll be careful,” Yu Yao said, not accepting the offer this time. Instead, she reached out to snatch the fish from him. “Set that aside, I can eat it myself.”
White Feng made sure not to let her succeed. He grabbed her wrist with his other hand and held the dried fish near her mouth again. “Come on, one more bite. After this, I won’t feed you anymore.”
“I don’t… ugh…” Yu Yao’s small face was beginning to flush. Half her words got stuck in her mouth. Seeing her blushing, Bai Feng couldn’t resist teasing her further. He kept her small face with his hand. “Sorry, sorry. Let’s get back to the fox talk.”
“Senior sister, I will get my revenge one day!” Yu Yao threatened Bai Feng fiercely.
Seeing her fierce look, Bai Feng smiled and suggested, “How about I let you bully me tonight?”
“Mm…” Yu Yao fell silent immediately.
“Alright, let’s discuss the matter of those foxes from the Southern Region,” Bai Feng changed the subject and stopped teasing her, smiling. “And this time, Yu Yao, be good and listen. Tell me what you know about those foxes in Yu Ling Long.”
Yu Yao nodded obediently and began to talk about those two foxes working inside Yu Ling Long.

“Hehe, earned quite a bit today!” Qiao Qiao counted her spirit stones excitedly, bouncing with joy.
The dress she wanted was now affordable again—apparently, it was made from premium six-grade silk beaten with a special flower fragrance—super comfy and worth every coin despite the price tag.
Meanwhile, Su, also counting her stones, was deep in thought—more about the costs than the fabric. She was calculating her expenses: enough for travel, but still needing to buy a few Image Retainers to take home. Curse this delicate spending!
Thinking about the recent work, she felt an inexplicable shame—no, not quite. More like… a sense of selling her soul. She’d thought about quitting countless times, but the boss kept throwing money at her, and to motivate her, Yu Ling Long’s boss adopted a commission-based system: sell a product, earn extra. Paid daily.
She couldn’t refuse, even fantasized about the boss asking her to dress more revealing—then she could just say no and leave—only, the boss never did. Instead, they strictly told her to avoid revealing clothes and kept emphasizing that their store was legit, no shady tricks.
Yet, despite that, more customers kept flooding in—they loved her and Qiao Qiao’s fox girl aura… Wait, fox girl? That’s just what they call a yōu tribe fox! Who came up with that confusing term anyway?
Su exhaled slowly—fortunately, this phase was almost over. She’d received word that Bai Feng and the Nine-Tailed Fox had returned from Eastern Continent.
Soon, they could visit the Heavenly Sword Sect.
“Qiao Qiao, pack up your clothes. We’re heading to the Heavenly Sword Sect now.”
“Huh?” Qiao Qiao froze, then took a few seconds to recall her purpose for this trip. Her face fell slightly.
Suddenly, she remembered something and leaned toward Su, smiling slyly. “Um, Sister Su, can I wait here until you guys come back?”
“…No!”
