Chapter 333: Tian Yan: “You little j*rk!” “Pervert!!”
You Su Rong Rong fell silent for a few seconds before shaking her head dramatically. “Let’s not talk about this anymore. It’s not something we get to decide.”
“But, Sister You Su, you can see, right? The clock’s ticking—those secret realms popping up all over, the awakening of spiritual veins—these signs are screaming at us that we’re standing at a critical juncture.” Chi Qiao tucked away her mischievous grin, sighing softly. “We only get this one shot, miss it, and it’s gone forever.”
You Su Rong Rong sighed again. “I’ll tell the clan. That’s all we can do.”
“Don’t be too stressed,” Chi Qiao flashed her a smile again. “Maybe tomorrow things will look up.”
“Hope so,” You Su Rong Rong shook her head and continued walking toward her home.
Behind her, Chi Qiao’s grin faded into thought, more serious now.
You Su Fox Clan—didn’t just start declining recently; they’ve been fading for ages. Now, only three groups remain: Tu Shan, You Su, and Qing Qiu.
To fight off the ever-watchful demon tribes, the three clans had long formed an alliance. But even with that, it’s barely holding together now.
Qing Qiu, where Chi Qiao’s from, is the most radical—they believe as long as they survive, even marrying humans is fine.
‘I should write a letter,’ Chi Qiao kaboomed inside. She was well aware of how stubborn and rigid the You Su tribe was.
But… the fact that a genius kid, close to humans, came from that stubborn clan, made her smirk with malicious glee. Finally, a talented kid appears, and then some human kid goes and hooks him away! She couldn’t help but eagerly anticipate the old-timers’ faces.
……
“Tian Yan, is the cake delicious?”
Bai Feng slowly peeked from behind a giant stone, watching Tian Yan happily munching on cake atop another stone.
Tian Yan’s body trembled a bit. She quickly shoved the remaining cake into her mouth and mumbled, “Delicious, your cake is really good.”
“Heh, flattery won’t do you any good,” Bai Feng stretched out his hands, fingers wiggling. “I told you to get it from the kitchen yourself. You actually took the whole thing!”
Without warning, he pinched her little face and started tormenting her.
“You’re not supposed to take it all, you know!”
Tian Yan didn’t resist. She kept her eyes on Bai Feng and replied with a mouthful of cake.
“It looks like you don’t realize your mistake,” Bai Feng released her face and pulled a soft stick out of his storage bag. “I recently made a little toy—perfect for you to test.”
Tian Yan swallowed nervously. She looked up at the approaching stick: “What are you going to do?”
“Show you your mistake!” Bai Feng’s smirk turned a bit sinister. “Don’t worry, it’ll only hurt a little—won’t harm you.”
Tian Yan turned to run, but in the next second, Bai Feng grabbed her arm. At that moment, a scream of pain echoed from somewhere on Qing Bamboo Peak.
Minutes later, Bai Feng tucked away the slightly softened stick. Tian Yan held her aching backside, tears prickling in her eyes, glaring fiercely at Bai Feng.
“See? This spiritual tool only causes pain but doesn’t harm your body. Look, your b*tt isn’t even swelling.”
Tian Yan still stared stubbornly, teeth clenched, muttering, “You little j*rk!”
“Yelling at me won’t change anything. If you hadn’t taken the whole cake, none of this would’ve happened,” Bai Feng looked at her seriously. “Feels like you haven’t reflected enough yet.”
“No, I am reflecting,” Tian Yan turned her head away. But if she could redo this, she’d scold herself wholeheartedly for grabbing all that cake—so much cake! Even getting hit in the behind wouldn’t be worth it.
In other words: I was wrong. But next time? I’d dare to do it again!
“Alright, I’ll believe you once.” Bai Feng’s mood relaxed after spanking her. Then he asked about the thing he secretly asked her in the Image Retainer earlier—about the Demon Path.
Tian Yan rubbed her little backside silently.
Bai Feng paused for a few seconds. He thought, ‘This Tian Yan’s feelings are getting richer. When I first met her, she wouldn’t have sat silent out of sulking. She’d have mumbled and scowled.’
He sighed and stepped beside her. “Alright, no need to be mad. Want me to rub that pain away?”
“Pervert!!”
Tian Yan instantly took a step back, shielding her tiny b*tt.
Bai Feng pondered, “I think you could say it with more emotion, and add ‘that little j*rk’ again.”
“…Big pervert!” Tian Yan retreated another step, “I’ll stay far away from you from now on.”
“So, I’m planning to bake a cake next. Want some?”
“…Yes.”
Finished, Tian Yan took two more steps closer, still clutching her backside.
‘Ha. This little thing’s so easy to mess with!’
Bai Feng mentally muttered and turned toward the house. “Alright, let’s go. I’ll make you a cake, and you—please—help me analyze the Demon Path stuff.”
“Okay.”
……
“d*mn bl**d Snakes!”
He Yi clenched her fist in fury. She couldn’t hold back a curse.
Lately, the Southern Region has been acting weird—like someone’s deliberately stirring the pot. Conflicts everywhere. And her crane tribe? Being targeted, both openly and secretly. Looks like someone’s aiming to suppress or even annihilate her clan.
That’s why she’s in East Continent now, hunting for a way out.
She could ask her grandpa for help, but her grandpa belongs to the Central Continent Sacred Land. Unlike East Continent, where the Dragon Clan bloodline runs strong, East Continent’s royal family has that bloodline. So, demons aren’t hostile to them.
But the Holy Lands, led by humans? That’s a different story. Over the past decades, relations between humans and demons have soured—some radical factions even call for the demons’ revival and greatness, wanting to expel or wipe out the friendly demon clans.
Fortunately, those radical groups are few. But if the Sacred Lands meddle, it’s just giving those radicals an excuse. The Crane Tribe can’t survive in the Southern Region anymore.
So, their only option is to retreat—unless absolutely necessary, they won’t ask her grandpa for help.
“Sigh, maybe I should just go to Central State. As a mount, what’s so bad about that?”
He Yi sighed, but sadly, few in her tribe shared her thoughts.
“You’re back?” A tiny girl came over, rubbing her belly. “I’m hungry.”
“Got it, I’ll get food right away,” He Yi said helplessly, pulling out some simple cooked and roasted meat from her storage.
The girl eagerly grabbed a piece and ate. Miraculously, as she did, she seemed to grow just a tiny bit taller.
