Chapter 470: Tian Yan: I Still Clearly Distinguish Between Full and Not-So-Full Meals
“You don’t need to hide, do you?” Bai Feng reached out and gently ruffled Qiao Qiao’s head, asking casually.
The moment You Su Rong Rong just stepped inside, a comfortably lounging Qiao Qiao, who was enjoying Bai Feng’s gentle strokes on her thigh, immediately pulled her body lower and hurriedly sent a divine consciousness message—”Don’t reveal me!”
That’s right—Qiao Qiao was in fox form. Otherwise, the plot might’ve gone completely off the rails with what was about to happen.
Qiao Qiao heaved a sigh of relief, then slowly sat up from Bai Feng’s lap, patting her chest nervously. “If Sister Su Rong sees me like this, she’ll get embarrassed too, and if she finds out, she’ll definitely start teasing me again.”
“You’ve got shame too?” Bai Feng lazily shot back with a tease, then patted her again. “Alright, you better leave quickly, or what will you do if Sister Su Rong Rong comes back?”
“Once Sister Su reports in, she probably won’t come back again, right?” Even as she said that, Qiao Qiao jumped down from Bai Feng’s lap. “Anyway, I’m leaving now. See you tomorrow, Young Master Bai!”
Not long after Qiao Qiao left, the door was slowly pushed open again. A sneaky little head peeked inside—Little Jiu was carefully scoping out the room.
“What are you doing?”
“Checking if there’s a fox spirit around,” Little Jiu said softly, then jumped onto Bai Feng’s lap.
“Aren’t you just… me?” Bai Feng stroked Little Jiu’s fur.
But suddenly, Little Jiu stiffened, alert.
“You smell like another fox!” Little Jiu raised her head proudly. “You obviously already have me!”
“…Don’t say things that can be misinterpreted,” Bai Feng said, rubbing her small face. “What’s up?”
“No big deal, just wanted to see how you’re doing.” Little Jiu shifted into a comfy pose. “Just carry on working, no need to pay attention to me.”
Bai Feng secretly suspected Little Jiu was here to watch out for Qiao Qiao, but he had no proof.

“Lately, finding a moment to be alone with you really isn’t easy,” Tian Yan looked at Bai Feng inside his ring. Though her face was expressionless, he could sense just a tiny touch of resentment.
“Then just be more proactive and invite me in to talk,” Bai Feng chuckled. “Is it because I finished the cake, or are you just calling me over for a chat?”
“No, there’s something important,” Tian Yan shook her head. Then she thought for a moment and added, “Not the kind related to cultivation.”
“Another problem?”
“Recently, I’ve predicted that the Southern Continent is headed for a catastrophe,” Tian Yan continued, “and it involves immortals—and more than one party.”
“More than one party?”
Bai Feng looked surprised. Besides the Divine Monarch, there seemed to be other immortal-related forces?
He pondered for a moment, then looked down at Tian Yan—come to think of it, the Holy Lands mostly deal with immortals too…
Tian Yan seemed to sense Bai Feng’s gaze, as if she guessed his thoughts: “Besides the Holy Lands.”
“I know.”
Bai Feng gave an awkward smile; if it really was the Holy Lands, Tian Yan wouldn’t call him over specifically for this.
“Be careful if you’re planning to get involved in the Southern Continent,” she warned.
“I thought you’d be calling me to go there and check things out together!”
Tian Yan silently lifted her head to look at him. “Lately, I still clearly distinguish between full and not-so-full meals,” she replied calmly.
“Looks like the Southern Continent is quite dangerous.” Bai Feng stopped joking and looked serious too. Clearly, Tian Yan didn’t believe he could survive there for long.
Remember, he wasn’t some weak chicken anymore. Under the array’s blessing, he could even hold his own against a powerhouse in the Merging Stage. But even so, Tian Yan still saw him as having a risk of falling—well, he’d take that risk if he had to.
He then asked, “Got any suggestions?”
“Gather power,” Tian Yan said seriously. “The Southern Continent is too far, and we’re limited in what we can do. I suggest we mainly observe—maybe after this incident, we can uncover what schemes those immortals have set up.”
“Yeah, roughly what I was thinking,” Bai Feng nodded. He had no plans to run into the Southern Continent himself—at most, gather intelligence and maybe sell a few weapons to make some war profits.
Speaking of which, he had to remind Ling Feng to be careful—this Child of Destiny wasn’t someone to trifle with.
At that moment, he sensed Tian Yan grabbing his wrist and dragging him in a certain direction.
“Where are you taking me?”
“To gather power,” Tian Yan said without looking back.
“……”

“Those bl**d Snakes seem to have calmed down recently.”
He Yi furrowed her brows. She didn’t think the bl**d Snakes would stop so easily—was there some new conspiracy?
Another person nearby spoke up to explain: “Seems like they faced some resistance. Recently, two forces have blocked their invasion—one led by humans and the Nine-Tailed Fox in the Southern Alliance, who managed to scavenge a bunch of strange weapons, giving the bl**d Snakes a tough time. The other is rather odd—a powerful demon cultivator leading persecuted Monster Tribe against them. And there have been some internal issues within the bl**d Snake Clan, either intentionally leaked rumors or real problems, who knows?”
“A demon cultivator leading the Monster Tribe? Are those two really connected?” He Yi blinked in surprise.
“Though he didn’t admit to being a demon cultivator, his intense demon energy and skilled use of demon techniques scream ‘big demon,’” the man added.
“Maybe for a special reason,” He Yi thought of Bai Feng and his Array Master Liu Meng. If she remembered right, Liu Meng used to be a demon cultivator before turning over a new leaf.
Such things weren’t uncommon—many Demon Path sects abducted children to train as disciples. But growing up in a demonic environment made their worldview somewhat different, so only a few truly saw the light and turned upright.
She didn’t dwell on the details but nodded at others: “This is a good opportunity. While the bl**d Snake’s attention is distracted by these two factions, we should strike. I’ve even secured some special weapons from the Heavenly Sword Sect in the Northern Region—they pack quite a punch.”
“Exactly. I think we should take this chance to strike back. Don’t let other monsters think we’re easy prey,” someone nodded.
“The Heavenly Sword Sect’s special weapons? Are they formations?” someone asked.
He Yi’s face spread into a mysterious smile: “Something like that. You’ll find out soon enough.”
After a brief discussion, the plan to counterattack the bl**d Snake Clan was finalized.
In a sparsely decorated room, He Yi stretched her arms, feeling some relief—ever since the incident in Eastern Continent, she had no idea what her grandfather or the clan had told her. Fortunately, her punishment was light, and she was still allowed to participate in clan affairs. Now she even carried the task of liaising with the Holy Lands and other Monster Tribes, which added a bit of pressure.
‘Should’ve insisted on being Bai Feng’s mount back then…’ she murmured silently, clenched her fists, and prepared for whatever was next.
