Chapter 530: Why on earth can she get bigger?!
“Bai Feng, I just played games all day. Why are there two more monsters hanging around you? Who are they? What are they here for?”
Xiao Jiu sat on Bai Feng’s lap, tilting her head to glare at He Yi and Hu Yiyi up front, sounding all defensive.
“You know these two too? Didn’t you see them before in Eastern Continent? Did you forget?” Bai Feng casually stroked Xiao Jiu’s fur with his finger as if it was no big deal.
Wait—Weren’t you only into fox-type monsters before? Since when did you start caring about other monsters?
“Seen before?” Xiao Jiu looked at He Yi and Hu Yiyi again. “Kinda looks familiar. But who’s this little one? I have no clue.”
“You’re joking, you look like a giant,” Bai Feng snorted. “That’s the tiger that almost died after eating an immortal’s arm. It’s already transformed.”
“Eh? That tiger?”
Xiao Jiu stared at Hu Yiyi’s scrawny figure for a few seconds, apparently lost in thought. Suddenly, she puffed up her tiny chest proudly as if she’d just remembered something important.
Meanwhile, He Yi also secretly shot a glance at Xiao Jiu. Even though she’d seen this nine-tailed fox hanging out with Bai Feng back in Eastern Continent, she didn’t know Xiao Jiu’s true identity until she went back and found out Xiao Jiu was a pure-blooded nine-tailed fox from the Immortal Secret Realm.
Plus, Xiao Jiu had been with Bai Feng for quite a while—she was kind of her senior, so she decided to make a friendly move and say hello: “Greetings, Miss Xiao Jiu. I am He Yi, Bai Gongzi’s mount. Though right now, it’s more like… uh… on probation.”
“Mount?” Xiao Jiu immediately turned her head to stare at Bai Feng.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Do you wanna be my mount too?”
Xiao Jiu softly mumbled while looking away: “Sounds like you’ve never ridden me before…”
“…”
Has Xiao Jiu been reading those books Shui Miao Miao gave me lately? Nope. I gotta hide those books when I get home!
“Cough.” Bai Feng cleared his throat to shift the topic. “Anyway, that’s Hu Yiyi. She came to ask me for help. She’ll be staying here for a while.”
“Help with what?” Xiao Jiu continued to ask alertly.
“Looking for an old tiger, probably somewhere in Eastern Continent,” Bai Feng answered casually.
“Oh.” Xiao Jiu nodded, slightly lowering her guard towards Hu Yiyi. But still, she kept a watchful eye—especially since Bai Feng seemed to have a bigger interest in petite girls. As Yun Yue Yao said… something about being a loli-con, or so it seemed.
Bai Feng had no idea what exactly was whirling in Xia Jiu’s mind. He directed his gaze at He Yi and said, “Today, I need you to go to Xuan Guang City and arrange accommodation for the Crane Tribe. We’re not sure what kind of environment your crane clan prefers.”
“Gongzi, no need to trouble yourself. Just arrange normal housing for my people,” He Yi repeatedly waved her hands.
“No can do. This is a kind of employee benefit. Everyone working here gets it. If you don’t believe me, ask the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan or Silver-Winged Dove Clan.”
Of course, as subordinates loyal to Bai Feng, these monsters enjoyed better perks than ordinary employees.
“So, thank you in advance, Gongzi,” He Yi nodded without further objection.
As a proper mount, she knew well that her reward from the boss meant working harder—an idea that could be written in her lifelong draft: “How to Be an Excellent Mount,” yet to be finished for lack of practice.
Bai Feng watched Hu Yi Yi leave, then turned his attention back to her, who was happily gnawing on snacks. Gosh, she really can eat—next time, I’ll just give her normal snacks. She seems not picky.
He couldn’t help but comment inwardly before reaching out and lifting Xiao Jiu from his lap, standing up. “Hu Yiyi, let’s go to the training ground. After training, there’ll be food.”
As soon as she heard “food,” Hu Yiyi shoved the half-eaten snack into her mouth and hurriedly stood up, mumbling vaguely, “Where’s the training ground?”
“…Follow me,” Bai Feng said.
As expected, Hu Yiyi was easy to handle; just one meal was enough to settle her.

At the training ground.
“Anyway, that’s about it,” Bai Feng explained to Chu Chu about Hu Yiyi’s request to find that tiger. “I also saw her cultivation level was close to yours, so I let her join the training. Training with those much stronger than you isn’t good for practice.”
“You’re really helping me out again…” Chu Chu lowered her head softly.
“No biggie. The stronger you get, the more it helps me,” Bai Feng shrugged. “By the way, don’t underestimate Hu Yiyi. She devoured an immortal’s arm and survived. Even with Celestial Eye, you might have trouble winning against her.”
“Yeah, I’ll be careful,” Chu Chu nodded. She wouldn’t be arrogant just because she had Celestial Eye—especially after being ‘interrogated’ by Yun Yue Yao and others, she learned not to be so full of herself.
After explaining to Chu Chu, Bai Feng looked at Hu Yiyi, who was munching the dried meat he carried. “Ready?”
Hu Yiyi quickly stuffed the meat into her mouth, rubbed her tiny belly, and nodded: “So-so… didn’t eat enough, but training should be fine.”
As she finished speaking, her body grew gradually. The oversized clothes strained to contain her as she grew to about 1.65 meters. Her aura also shifted accordingly.

If her seemingly harmless mode is on, then her transformed state now radiates wild aggression, like a fierce beast watching you.
Xiao Jiu, nearby, suddenly widened her eyes. She turned into human form, rubbed her eyes, and looked again at the size-changed Hu Yiyi—what the heck, why can she get so big?!
“Whoa, that’s really amazing.”
Even Chu Chu was a bit surprised. Thanks to her Celestial Eye, she could see the enormous power contained within Hu Yiyi’s body. If they really fought, she might not win even a little. But battle isn’t just about strength—Hu Yiyi was strong, but Chu Chu still believed she could win if it came to fighting.
“Are you ready?”
Hu Yiyi raised her arm, stretched her body, and looked eager.
“Mm-hm. Please give me some guidance.”
Chu Chu moved forward two steps, her expression serious.
In the next second, the two dashed at each other—one sword, one fist—colliding fiercely.
Outside, Bai Feng walked to Xiao Jiu’s side. Seeing her puzzled look, he reached out and tousled her head. “What’s wrong?”
Xiao Jiu slightly lifted her head, looking at him. “Bai Feng, can eating an immortal’s arm really make me bigger?”
“Whether it can or not, I’m not sure. But it can make you lighter—probably about five jin (roughly 2.5 kg), including the box.”
“Hmm…” Xiao Jiu pointed at Hu Yiyi and Chu Chu fighting. “Then why can she?”
“…”
Because she’s Child of Destiny.
Though she thought so, Bai Feng offered a different explanation: “Maybe it’s just luck. Honestly, I was surprised she survived. Probably, she’s the only one like her in the whole world.”
