Chapter 532: Today Is Yet Again “Contaminated” by Shui Miao Miao
“Hey? Little sis is coming to Heavenly Sword Sect?”
Shui Miao Miao casually grabbed her communicator and glanced at it. Before she knew it, she shot straight up from her bed like a spring-loaded balloon.
“Shui Xi Yu also sent me a message.” Bai Feng, sitting nearby, also picked up his communicator and tapped a few times. “Looks like things in Eastern Continent have finally stabilized.”
“But I didn’t expect little sis to come personally. I thought she’d send a few bodyguards over to chit-chat first.” Shui Miao Miao turned her head slightly towards Bai Feng with a suspicious look. “Does she maybe come for you?”
She recalled that Bai Feng was the one who taught her little sister about Array. When Bai Feng went to Eastern Continent, little Shui Xi Yu often trailed behind him, begging to learn Array formations. Back then, she didn’t pay much attention—considering their tough situation, it was understandable for her to want to improve her skills quickly.
But now, she’s not even following the proper imperial protocol for travel, heading straight to Heavenly Sword Sect without any bodyguards. That’s pretty off.
“It could also be for cooperation,” Bai Feng said casually, lowering his communicator. “I mentioned wheat and rice to her earlier, and she seemed quite interested.”
“Those modified wheat from Tian Yan? But wouldn’t she come personally for that?” Shui Miao Miao doubted hard now. No matter how she looked at it, it seemed like little sister was rushing over just for Bai Feng.
Bai Feng stroked his chin, pondering. “Not entirely sure myself. But she used to rely a lot on me, and she’s definitely concerned about what I think of her.”
“Exactly…” Shui Miao Miao’s face showed an expression of “I knew it.” “Parents were murdered, the little princess has to hide away, and she runs into a kind Array master. With the Array master’s help, she grew up, gained the strength for revenge, and filled her heart with hatred—no, wait, now it’s more complex emotions.”
“…You’ve got quite the imagination,” Bai Feng said with a half-smile.
“Then she succeeds in her revenge and ascends to the throne, only to discover her sister also fell for the same guy, and she has to silently suffer on the side.”
“…?”
“The Little Princess now Empress is struggling internally. In the end, she decides to meet the Array master who trained her, to confess her feelings to the one she loves. So, she leaves her guards behind and goes alone to the sect where the Array master resides.”
“…This plot’s a bit melodramatic.”
“But her sister took a step ahead, already expressed her feelings, and has been living with her beloved for some time,” Shui Miao Miao continued. “Now she regrets it. She’s remorseful, painfully regretful.”
“…And then?”
“She wants to let go, but deep down, she knows she can’t. Finally, the little princess, unable to bear it anymore, confesses her love to her crush—only to be caught by her sister.”
“What a soap opera.”
“Facing her sister’s questions, the little princess doesn’t back down. She says she isn’t here to separate the family. She’s here to join it.”
“?
“Eventually, her sister realizes her heart is just as strong, maybe even stronger, than her own,” Shui Miao Miao winked. “So they decide to—”
“Stop!” Bai Feng suddenly cut her off. “Have a little self-control over those suggestive novels of yours. Why is this soap opera starting to look like… uh… ‘naughty’?”
“Huh? Isn’t that part of the appeal? Sisters together… I remember it’s pretty popular,” Shui Miao Miao tilted her head, grinning.
“Are we even talking about a novel anymore?” Bai Feng shook his head, knocking gently on her forehead. “I can tell what kind of wild thoughts you’re usually having.”
“Oh! Right!” Shui Miao Miao patted her head. “Then what about little sis?”
“She hasn’t even arrived yet. Don’t start daydreaming now.”
Bai Feng sighed. Today has once again been ‘polluted’ by Shui Miao Miao. Hopefully, when Shui Xi Yu comes to visit Heavenly Sword Sect, no scenes from today will pop up in his mind.
“Yeah…” Shui Miao Miao nodded, realizing Shui Xi Yu was her sister after all. Leading her thoughts astray isn’t good. Though not very likely, what if little sister only feels grateful to Bai Feng?
Stopping her wild imaginings, she turned her head slightly towards Bai Feng and then suddenly threw her arms around him.
“What’s wrong?”
“Hehe, even after all this time, it still feels like a dream,” she whispered, her face burrowing into Bai Feng’s embrace.
Bai Feng looked at the small, gently swaying dragon horn on her head. Playfully, he rested his hand on her head and joked, “Actually, you’re dreaming right now. You accidentally triggered a Illusion Art and have been lost inside your own fantasies for a long, long time.”
“Hmm, in that case…” Shui Miao Miao slowly shifted her body until she was fully leaning on him. “I should enjoy this while I’m still in the dream.”
……
“Young Master Bai, good morning…” He Yi, looking up at the rising sun, quickly corrected herself. “Good noon, Young Master Bai!”
“Mm. Anything I can help with?” Bai Feng raised his hand and nodded back.
He Yi lowered her head slightly, a proud yet shy and expectant look on her face. “Well, you mentioned wanting to ride me out to fly a few rounds, right?”
“…That’s right, I think so.” Bai Feng held back a urge to laugh or mock, “Let’s go today. I want to check out a nearby village.”
“Great!”
He Yi’s eyes lit up, all excited. She had followed Bai Feng for days, and now—finally—she was about to do her job as a flying mount!
“Wait here for me a moment. I’ll go prepare,” Bai Feng said, then mounted the white crane and headed toward a village near Heavenly Sword Sect.
‘Not bad at all.’
Sitting on the white crane, Bai Feng gently stroked its feathers. The touch was just as he imagined—smooth, long feathers, and the hidden down was soft and warm, totally different from that Little Jiu’s fuzzy feeling.
But he and He Yi weren’t that close yet, so he only gave a quick caress—nothing too over the top.
“Young Master Bai, we’ll be arriving at the village soon,” He Yi suddenly whispered in his ear.
“Pretty quick!” Bai Feng secretly withdrew his hand, looking down at the village below. “Let’s hide our presence, then go check out the farmland.”
“Got it!”
He Yi responded with some excitement, then shot forward like a white arrow toward the fields.
Despite her speed, Bai Feng didn’t feel a breeze at all, and her flight was remarkably steady—like sitting on a soft cushion, completely smooth and bump-free.
