Chapter 537: Am I about to sink into the depths of the Eastern Dynasty Royal Family’s Elders?
【Ding! The host has been identified as utterly twisted, making the Child of Destiny, Shui Xi Yu’s sister—Water Miao Miao—her helper. Successfully taken down Shui Xi Yu, + Luck Points awarded, one Merger Stage Experience Card earned.】
“……”
Bai Feng had no time to lob a system complaint; he was busy pondering how things had spiraled into this chaos.
Probably because of Water Miao Miao. Although it seemed Water Miao Miao and Shui Xi Yu reached some unspoken agreement, they were still far from peace-loving roommates. Even Water Miao Miao, who pushed Shui Xi Yu once or twice, still held her own stubbornness on certain issues.
This led to a different sort of skirmish—initially over territory, but then Water Miao Miao apparently wanted to show something. Her actions started to get a little over the top, or perhaps more intimate. Shui Xi Yu, not to be outdone, copied whatever Water Miao Miao did.
If Shui Xi Yu weren’t a bit shy, I’d say she’d probably beat Water Miao Miao to the punch in terms of overdoing it.
And in the end… well, the system’s notification is the clearest explanation:
“By the way, do you think this won’t cause the elders of the Eastern Dynasty Royal Family to drown you in the river?”
Bai Feng rubbed his chin, muttering. After all, Shui Xi Yu’s status is that of Empress now, and she’s practically hanging out with her sister Water Miao Miao…
Hope everything stays smooth (clasping hands.jpg).
……
“Finally found you.” Hu Yiyi, sitting outside the office door, stood up swiftly and waved to Bai Feng as he approached.
“What are you doing?”
Bai Feng looked at Hu Yiyi, who seemed a bit anxious, and asked.
“Um, isn’t the Empress of the Eastern Dynasty visiting the Heavenly Sword Sect? So I thought I’d ask you about that tiger I saw in my dream,” Hu Yiyi said hurriedly.
“You remember that? I thought you’d forgotten,” Bai Feng teased with a smile. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. She just arrived at the Heavenly Sword Sect; she’s tired from the long trip. Rest for a day, then I’ll help you ask about that.”
“Okay!”
Hu Yiyi nodded hurriedly, but after she finished talking, she didn’t leave. Instead, she followed Bai Feng into the house.
Bai Feng turned to look at Hu Yiyi trailing behind him, with a helpless tone: “Anything else?”
“I’m hungry,” Hu Yiyi rubbed her belly.
“……Next time you come to help me, don’t go bullying puppets in the Simulation Secret Realm.”
“Oh.”
After a moment, Bai Feng looked up at Hu Yiyi, who was standing still: “Anything else?”
“You said you wanted me to help here, right?” Hu Yiyi stuffed her mouth with tiger food as she spoke.
“……Here, take this. Help me test this new game first.”
Bai Feng handed over a noticeably different Reflection Device than usual.
This game was originally meant for Little Jiu to test. But Little Jiu was such a recluse, never leaving her room, that after a whole day’s testing, she hadn’t discovered anything. So he took it back.
“Oh.”
Hu Yiyi took it and started fiddling.
Inside was a simple map—looks like a layout of the Array Peak. Following the tutorials, she quickly activated the Reflection Device, but the screen showed some extra layouts.
For example, an icon that looked like a storage bag, and below that, a strange formation disk.
As she moved the Reflection Device around, suddenly a white rabbit demon appeared in front of her.
Hu Yiyi hurriedly looked away from the device to the spot where the rabbit demon appeared, but nothing was there. She picked up the Reflection Device and looked again—there it was again.
She scratched her head. Even she could tell this rabbit demon was fake.
“Should I catch this rabbit demon? What for? As dinner?”
Hu Yiyi mumbled while looking at the tutorial. Still, she reached out a tiny hand and selected the formation disk. After it blinked three times, it caught the rabbit demon and stored it.
“Letting this rabbit fight? Can I just do it myself?”
She scratched her head again. The tutorial was clear, but she still couldn’t quite understand. In her eyes, this rabbit was way too weak; better to go fight herself than rely on this.
After fiddling for a bit, she put down the Reflection Device. This game wasn’t to her taste.
Suddenly, an idea struck her, and she picked up the Reflection Device to ask Bai Feng, “Bai Feng, can I take this home?”
“It’s meant for you to play for a few days, just remember to give me feedback. If anything’s unclear, tell me right away.”
Bai Feng nodded.
This game was basically a copy of the Treasure○Dream GO. After being ambushed by assassins, he felt that relying on Ling Lan and those pigeons for guard duty was too inefficient. So he brainstormed a better way to guard the Divine Monarch and the Siku Family. That’s how this game was born.
He wasn’t sure if it’d work, but since making the game didn’t take much effort, he figured—if it works, great; if not, just some idle distraction. No big deal.
And this time, his target wasn’t just the Northern Region; the Central Continent was also within his plan. Even if it doesn’t help in warding off assassins, it’d at least familiarize him with the layout near the Siku Family.
“Alright.”
Hu Yiyi nodded. Although she didn’t like this game much, she could hand it over to He Yi—who wanted to help Bai Feng but had no idea how—so now she could help.
After setting down the Reflection Device, she didn’t rush off. She sat on the sofa, watching Bai Feng.

Though she’d sensed that the tiger in her dream looked a bit like Bai Feng before, lately that feeling had grown even stronger. Especially since she’d been eating well every day, no longer using most of her brain to ponder what to eat. Now, with extra mental space, her imagination started to run wild.
Thinking back, when I was injured, Bai Feng saved me and healed my wounds, right? And that was when I dreamt of that tiger.
Could it be that the tiger isn’t connected through some kind of dream-link, but that she sensed what was happening in reality while she was fainting, and in her dream, it simply manifested in a different form? Otherwise, she couldn’t explain why the tiger in her dream closely resembled Bai Feng so much.
But… that dream felt incredibly real, and that tiger looked just like the real thing…
After some deep thought, an idea popped into her mind—the perhaps she should gather more information about Bai Feng? Maybe she could find something useful.
“What’s wrong?”
Bai Feng also noticed Hu Yiyi staring into space and walking off somewhere absentmindedly. He approached, gently waving his hand.
“Nothing, just feeling a bit bored,” Hu Yiyi quickly shook her head. “Um, this game probably needs to be played outside, right? I’ll go out and help you test it.”
Bai Feng watched Hu Yiyi’s departing figure, feeling that she seemed a little strange. Could she have discovered something? No. Hu Yiyi probably didn’t have that kind of brain. Maybe he had been overfeeding her, boosting her favorability so fast she was starting to develop feelings for him? But she probably wasn’t that kind of demon, right?
Best to keep an eye on her for the next few days.
