Chapter 552: Visiting the Holy Land of Tian Yan
The Holy Land of Tian Yan isn’t your typical kung fu sect or any other sacred ground—nope, it’s nestled right in Central Continent’s biggest city, Jin Xia City. Apparently, Jin Xia City doesn’t even realize it’s got a major boss hidden somewhere. Besides Tian Yan, hardly anyone knows the real location of this holy place.
“Your Tian Yan Holy Land really knows how to pick a spot,” Bai Feng said, eyeing the bustling street crowds. “Although I get the whole ‘conceal yourself in the city’ thing, shouldn’t this be different for a holy land or sect? Where do you folks usually cultivate—hidden in a cave behind a waterfall?”
“The caves here are of our own making,” Tian Yan explained, leading the way. “Plus, we aren’t many—most of us are out doing cultivation elsewhere.”
“Got it,” Bai Feng nodded. “So, does Jin Xia City have some top-notch fortune-tellers, then?”
“Not really. Average at best,” Tian Yan shook her head. “Rabbits don’t eat their own burrows, so we don’t bother setting up fortune-telling booths in Jin Xia. But if luck’s on your side, you might bump into one. It’s a city of this size; it’d be weird if not even one of us Tian Yan’s guys was around.”
“Alright, we’re here.”
Tian Yan stopped and strode into a teahouse.
Bai Feng took a look at the teahouse, which looked pretty ordinary, then stepped inside and gave it a quick once-over. Still nothing unusual revealed itself.
Business was decent here—not booming, but not dead either. Just a steady flow of customers. Aside from that, he couldn’t think of any other way to describe it.
No surprise, this is Tian Yan Holy Land—disguising itself so effortlessly, it’s practically a masterclass.
Bai Feng followed Tian Yan, who, thanks to some secret technique, kept them invisible to the tea-drinkers inside.
Tian Yan approached a storage room for tea leaves. She pinched the air with her fingers, and suddenly, a secret realm’s entrance materialized right before them.
“Oh, so secret realms are a thing here!”
Bai Feng nearly forgot about secret realms altogether—they’re quite handy for hiding out.
“New disciples just starting out need a place to cultivate,” Tian Yan nodded. “And we can’t have visitors chatting over tea while on official business in the teahouse, now can we?”
“Right,” Bai Feng agreed.
A few seconds later, they arrived at a place that fit the stereotypical image of a holy land—a bamboo forest, a waterfall, mist-shrouded high mountains. It had all the hallmarks.
“Strange, was it like this before?” Tian Yan looked around, her usually flat tone tinged with a hint of confusion.
“What’s ‘like this’ supposed to mean?” Bai Feng asked curiously.
“Just some ordinary mountains, and a few disciples’ houses,” Tian Yan said. Her Tian Yan Holy Land was notorious for not prioritizing material grandeur. But how did their secret realm suddenly become this?
“Because Bai Feng was coming, I tidied it up a bit,” the Holy Master of Tian Yan smiled and walked over. “How is it? Not bad, right?”
“…It’s okay,” Bai Feng said, biting back a comment. Seriously, was it really just “tidied up”? Looks more like they renovated the entire place into a scenic spot.
“Holy Master, you’ve changed. You didn’t used to be like this,” Tian Yan muttered, watching her.
“Hey, Bai Feng is our honored guest. He helped you breakthrough into the Merging Stage, after all,” Tian Yan’s Holy Master grinned. “We’re not going to stand around here—let’s have some snacks while we chat.”

In a small pavilion floating at the center of a lake, Bai Feng stared at a platter of various glutinous rice desserts. He couldn’t help but glance at Tian Yan’s Holy Master—seems she’d done some homework on what he liked.
He took a piece of a red sugar rice cake, took a bite, and asked with a smile, “Is there a special reason you invited me over, Holy Master?”
“Nothing big,” she shook her head. “Just heard about Tian Yan’s breakthrough into the Merging Stage, and wanted to thank you. Plus, I’m a bit curious about you.”
“I didn’t do much,” Bai Feng was polite.
“Don’t be modest,” the Holy Master said softly. “As leader of Tian Yan Holy Land, I understand how difficult that cultivation technique you use is.”
She gently shook her head, recalling how she’d almost become a Holy Maiden herself. But upon seeing the technique her fellow Holy Maiden was cultivating, she retreated. Her talent wasn’t enough to succeed.
Her prediction came true—her peer, almost equal in talent, became a Holy Maiden but soon hit a bottleneck. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t breakthrough further. Her lifespan depleted, leading to her demise.
When she heard about the new Holy Maiden’s rapid progress, she was surprised but also very interested in Bai Feng.
Perhaps the mission left by Fairy Tian Yan will be completed by their generation.
She studied Bai Feng closely, then, feeling her gaze was not enough, she stood, took the opportunity when she pushed the dessert toward him, and approached.
As the Holy Master—Tian Yan’s leader—she naturally sensed the immense luck radiating from Bai Feng. Clearly, something was amiss. She was curious—what’s behind this?
She reached out her hand slowly, but before she could touch him, a small hand suddenly pushed her away.
“Just look, no touching or grabbing,” Tian Yan said, standing between them.
“Oh, sorry! Sorry! I just got too curious and couldn’t control myself,” Bai Feng admitted, chuckling.
The Holy Master of Tian Yan didn’t get mad—she smiled warmly and shook her head.
Meanwhile, she was a bit shocked—she knew her Holy Maiden had feelings for Bai Feng, but she hadn’t expected her feelings to start resurfacing. She’d never suspected the cold, aloof Holy Maiden would get jealous.

“Oh, right,” she suddenly remembered, reaching into her wide sleeves and pulling out a jade box. “This is a small token of my gratitude. Please accept it.”
“You’re too kind, Holy Master,” Bai Feng wanted to refuse.
But Tian Yan elbowed him playfully, so after a moment’s hesitation, he took it.
“It’s a bronze coin crafted by Tian Yan Fairy herself. It can save your life in a pinch,” the Holy Master explained. “You are the hope of Tian Yan Holy Land. Losing you to those rats would be a real blow.”
“Then I’ll thank you, Holy Master,” Bai Feng quickly stored the jade box.
He thought about making it into a necklace and wearing it every day.
“No need to thank me,” she shook her head. “And… could you do us a small favor?”
“Anything I can help with, I’ll do my best,” Bai Feng nodded. After all, Tian Yan’s Holy Master just handed him a life-preserving talisman. Naturally, he wouldn’t refuse. As long as it’s something within his power.
“It’s not difficult,” she took out a crystal-clear stone. “I want you to leave a trace of your aura on this. Rest assured, it won’t harm you. It just symbolizes our alliance. This way, Tian Yan Holy Land can share a bit of your luck.”
“That’s fine,” Bai Feng agreed without hesitation. He reached out and tapped the stone, leaving his mark inside.
“Thank you, Young Master Bai,” the Holy Master of Tian Yan carefully stored the stone. At that moment, Bai Feng suddenly remembered something and said:
“Oh, I also found a fragment of a divine consciousness in the Celestial Eye I took earlier, and this fragment points to a location. I suspect it’s related to the Divine Monarch.”
