Chapter 115: Can’t Face Anyone Now, I’m Going to d*e of Embarrassment
Even though I got scolded for no reason, Long Aotian surprisingly felt a little shift inside his heart.
After gobbling up all the fruits Li Qing Xue left behind, he patted his belly happily and stood up.
Glancing at the pink hair ribbon in his hand, Long Aotian casually slid it into his pocket. “I’ll return it to her when I see her next time.”
……
Li Qing Xue rushed straight into her little room the moment she got home.
Seeing her fiery and lively demeanor, Li Mu, her mother, said with concern, “Honey, you’re in such a hurry; be careful not to bump yourself.”
“Got it.” As Li Qing Xue finished speaking, the sound of closing the door followed.
She flopped onto her bed, pulling the covers over herself at lightning speed, leaving only her cute, flushed face poking out.
Her silver teeth clenched tightly—whether out of anger or embarrassment, nobody knew.
“d*mn Long Aotian, you big idiot…”
This was the first time her face had turned this red in front of anyone, and she felt especially awkward.
It’s been days since she last went to the Lakeside Riverbank — the silence and distance had felt too awkward.
Bolstering her courage, she kept telling herself over and over that she and Long Aotian are just good friends — he’s not doing it on purpose, and neither is she…
But now that she’s been caught again, Li Qing Xue couldn’t help but wonder: Has Long Aotian been paying all his attention to this stuff?
Her mind was a whirlwind of anger and shyness.
She was furious that Long Aotian was with Hu Yuying and still so frivolous in eyeing her little petticoats.
But she was also embarrassed because she should despise him for stalking her, yet her heart didn’t quite agree.
This little tsundere girl fell into a conflicted and struggling state of mind.
She couldn’t help but think about Hu Yuying sitting in Long Aotian’s car — her sweet, innocent smile.
But suddenly her thoughts flicked — it was the feeling of lying on Long Aotian’s shoulder.
Their bodies pressed close, she could smell the hormonal scent emanating from him.
She could feel his rapid heartbeat.
And the vibrations when he smiled, transmitted through their bodies.
Thinking of this, Li Qing Xue’s little hand clenched tightly. She knew her feelings for Long Aotian had gone beyond ordinary friendship.
But Li Qing Xue also had her pride; right now, they could only be friends.
Thinking of that, a strange feeling was gradually suppressed in her heart.
She shyly buried her face in the blanket.
At this moment, she felt utterly wicked.
Suddenly, her phone vibrated.
Her blanket fluttered as her blushing little face poked out from the gap.
She unlocked her phone.
Seeing the message, Li Qing Xue’s already flushed face blushed even more.
She kicked her blanket wildly, trembling with embarrassment: “Wuwuwu, I can’t face anyone now, I’m socially dead…”
The message was from Long Aotian: “Your pink hair ribbon, I’ll return it to you at the usual place tomorrow.”
Soon after, Li Qing Xue threw her pink petticoat out of the blanket.
If she hadn’t been wearing that color today, she definitely wouldn’t think anything weird.
Her thoughts were too unhealthy…
Thinking about how she scolded Long Aotian for being a bad guy earlier, and seeing his totally baffled expression — turns out, he’s not pretending, he’s really confused…
Meanwhile.
After sending the message, Long Aotian stared at the blurry photos on his phone, lost in thought.
Two pictures, somewhat fuzzy. Even when he rubbed his thumb over the tiny screen, they still looked misty.
The phone vibrated.
He glanced at it.
Li Qing Xue: “Sorry, today I called you a big bad guy. Tomorrow, I’ll treat you to something yummy.”
He almost forgot about that incident.
Li Qing Xue: “Please don’t refuse. I really want to thank you. If it weren’t for you, today would’ve been terrible.”
Long Aotian looked at the pink hair ribbon beside him, then replied, “The little cookie is pretty tasty.”
Li Qing Xue: “Ok.”
He exited the chat, took another look at the photos, then shut his phone and headed to take a shower.
Li Qing Xue heaved a sigh of relief: “Today was a huge slip-up.”
Shaking her head, she retrieved a piece of close-fitting clothing from her small drawer.
Staring at the garment in her hand, Li Qing Xue stiffened—then checked her belongings.
The hairpin was black, the phone case was pink. She decided to wear her blue jeans tomorrow — they were blue, and she didn’t want the purple item in her hand to clash.
So she put it on.
Then she walked out, pouting like a spoiled kid: “Mom, I want to eat your little cookies again.”
“Not tonight, maybe tomorrow.”
“Nooo, I want to eat now! Pleeeease, beloved mom!”
Faced with her adorable pleading, Li Mu was helplessly indulgent: “Alright then.”
“Heehee, thanks, Mom.”
“How much do you want to eat?”
Thinking of Long Aotian’s gluttonous look today, Li Qing Xue decided to prepare extra. “More.”
“Can you finish it?”
“Of course.” She nodded confidently.
Under her mother’s guidance, Li Qing Xue washed her hands and started trying her hand at baking.

“I want to make a bunny shape.”
Staring at her homemade bunny, Li Mu’s lips twitched slightly.
Thank goodness she never let Qing Xue learn painting.
But to avoid crushing her daughter’s confidence, she cheerfully said, “It’s a very cute bunny.”
Encouraged by her mother’s praise, Li Qing Xue puffed up with pride.
Whatever she made, she saw through her own eyes as “not ugly”—a filter of her own comfort.
Finally, she packed her finished masterpiece into a box, planning to bring it to Long Aotian tomorrow.
After tidying up everything, Li Qing Xue took a shower and crawled back into her bed.
Maybe it was the labor’s endorphins from her mom’s praise or just the nice afterglow of her shower, but she wasn’t sleepy yet.
She unlocked her phone and browsed the latest penguin updates.
But as soon as she opened it, her brow furrowed slightly.

【……】
Her finger scrolled up through the posts, busy with all sorts of updates and ramblings. But when she stopped scrolling, her eyes fell on a gloomy shadow: (attached pic: secretly grieving shadow under a streetlamp)
Li Qing Xue frowned: “Why are there so many?”
She clicked “mute.”
Immediately, the previously suppressed posts burst back to their vibrant, colorful selves.
Feeling happy, she looked at her friends’ fun posts, liked, and commented — for Li Qing Xue, that was a little happiness in her day…
