### Chapter 131: So You Like Bullying Girls, Huh?
Dragon Brother polished off his last glass of draft beer, let out a hearty burp, and plopped down on the stool, releasing a long sigh.
Honestly, drinking solo just doesn’t have that “wow” factor like knocking back a few brews with friends does.
Back in his original world, when Dragon Brother was slaving away at construction sites, his favorite pastime was wrapping up work, sharing a pig’s head with a few old-timers, and sinking a few ice-cold beers.
After a grueling day at the site, a little booze really made it comfy to sleep at night.
“Dude, Old Ao, you’re a beast!” Li Long Long couldn’t help but give Dragon Brother a thumbs up.
Huang Fei and Xu Shuai’s faces were as red as tomatoes.
Especially Huang Fei, who had been trying to act cool earlier—mimicking his dad’s business talks at the dinner table—and downed his drink like a champ. He even turned his glass upside down to show off the “not a drop left” act.
Now, all he felt was heat radiating from his face. Thankfully, a little booze leads to a flushed complexion anyway, but that didn’t stop him from regretting his earlier show-off moment.
Dragon Brother seemed to see through Huang Fei and Xu Shuai’s awkwardness and casually skewered a lamb skewer, saying, “I can drink more than most people, you know!”
At their age, wanting to impress a little is totally understandable.
As long as they’re not too overly competitive, sometimes just one sentence can save face and still keep you feeling good inside.
Upon hearing this, Huang Fei threw a thumbs up back at Dragon Brother: “You’re a true friend! Don’t worry, as your buddy, I’ll definitely make sure you learn how to woo girls!”
“I’m in! I’ll exhaust all my knowledge to give you a hand!” Xu Shuai chimed in emphatically, patting his bulging belly.
“Alright, let’s call it a day.”
On their way back to school, the three of them chattered non-stop.
“Remember back when…”
“Oh man, the good old days…”
“Once upon a time, I…”
“Hey, what are you looking at over there? So many people?”
They turned to see a huge crowd gathered at the music school across the street.
You want to talk about a man’s curiosity? Ha! It’s an overwhelming force, especially after a few drinks.
Even Dragon Brother was peering over with interest.
They kept glancing until, with hands in pockets, they wandered over.
The crowd was thick, and in the distance, they could vaguely hear some nasty insults like “b*tch” thrown around.
“Is a fight breaking out?”
“Seriously, I’m gonna check it out!”
Using his physical advantages and wild curiosity, Dragon Brother shoved his way through the crowd.
A man in his forties, sporting glasses and a bit of a paunch, was confronting a girl with an ice tea bottle in one hand. “You touched my drink, so you have to come with me! It’s the rule!”
“Are you just trying to extort me? Come on, you wanna throw out a number for your classmates to see what kind of person you are…?”
The girl was struggling to break free, her pale face showing sheer panic, and one push accidentally sent the man’s glasses flying, one of the legs breaking off upon impact.
The man paused in utter disbelief, looking down at his glasses lying on the ground. “You… you broke my glasses! They’re my secret weapon for picking up girls!”
Fuming, he instinctively hurled the ice tea at the girl.
Gasps erupted from the onlookers, and the girl instinctively shrank back in fear.
After watching for a bit, Dragon Brother pieced together the messy situation. The guy had been leaving a bottle of ice tea on top of a car, and the girl accidentally nudged it off in the crowded squabble.
Now he was trying to bully her into submission after she made it clear it was accidental, leading to all this chaos.
With a strong sense of justice and half a keg of beer in his system, Dragon Brother was suddenly all in.
With everyone watching, he was the first and only one to step up, shielding the girl with his back to block the incoming ice tea.
“Ow!”
He felt a sharp pain in his back, but then, blissfully, it seemed to fade away as his bl**d seemed to rush backwards, his skin turning red.
The girl curled up, tightly shutting her eyes.
The imagined pain never materialized on her. Instead, a deep, grave curse echoed in her ears.
Slowly opening her eyes, she looked at the large figure blocking her, still in a daze, her face devoid of color, confusion washing over her blue eyes, tears threatening to spill.
Dragon Brother turned around, his tall, muscular frame, crimson skin from bl**d rushing back, and the pungent aroma of alcohol surrounding him—everything about him screamed “intimidation!”
The height difference left the middle-aged man trembling in fright as he stared at Dragon Brother, his jiggly face shaking more and more as Dragon Brother approached. “No, don’t come any closer… please…”
“Dude, you really like picking on girls, huh?” Grabbing the fallen ice tea off the ground, he waved it menacingly at the man.
“Ahhhhhh!” The man shrieked in panic and scrambled to his car.
Seriously, no normal person would pick a fight with someone fresh from a liquor run!
“Pfft, bullies are all bark and no bite.” Dragon Brother muttered angrily before slurping up the ice tea that had just landed on the man.
“Th-thank you,” the girl’s voice was a little cold but teeming with restraint, eyes flickering with a peculiar spark as she spoke, almost like she was holding back a smile.
“Don’t mention it, just don’t cry! I can’t stand seeing a girl in tears!” Dragon Brother waved his hand dismissively, acting like he had done something utterly trivial.
His voice carried a mellow, slightly tipsy laziness, which to the girl didn’t feel offensive at all.
“Whoa, Old Ao, you’re seriously amazing!”
The trio snapped back to reality and rushed over.
“Ow~” someone patted him on the back.
Dragon Brother immediately gasped, wincing in discomfort.
In his slightly tipsy state, he instinctively reached for his back.
“What’s up?”
“Nothing much, just feelin’ a little weird in the back.”
As they chatted, the four made their way toward their school.
Watching them retreat, the girl clenched her fists and jogged after them.
“Wait, hold up!”
Turning, she caught up with the girl who held iodine and a band-aid, breathless.
“Thank you for helping me. I…I bought some stuff. I’m not sure if you can use it.”
Her cool tone carried a trace of trembling and worry…
