Hu Yu Ying and Li Qing Xue stepped out of the dormitory building almost simultaneously.
Today, both of them were dressed in their best looking outfits.
First glance, it was quite the eye candy show—everyone’s face lit up, and it was a literal feast for the eyes.

Hu Yu Ying bashfully replied, “I accidentally twisted my ankle yesterday. It’s fine now.”
Hearing this, Li Qing Xue suddenly remembered the little cake Hu Yu Ying brought her last night, and her heart was instantly touched.

For her, Li Qing Xue’s habit of sticking close and touching was just normal now.
Plus, she really did smell good on Li Qing Xue—she liked the feeling of cuddling close to Li Qing Xue too.

“Are you sure?”
“Of course. Do you think I’d lie to you?”

Hu Yu Ying shook her head, a blush crept over her cheeks. “I’m fine now.”
That moment—Dragon Brother’s gentle touch on her little foot—Hu Yu Ying remembered it forever.
Watching their exchange, Lin Wan Ning caught a glimpse of Hu Yu Ying and also saw the smile on Dragon Brother’s face.
Perhaps it was just a woman’s intuition, but Dragon Brother had once said someone was very important to him. She had a nagging feeling—the specific someone was probably the girl right in front of her.
With everyone there, Dragon Brother introduced, “Her name is Lin Wan Ning, she’s a music student, and she’s the little sister I told you about before.”
Then he looked at Lin Wan Ning and added, “Her name is Hu Yu Ying, she’s my little shadow.”
“And she’s Li Qing Xue, my friend. We’re all from Bay City. We even went to the same high school,” he finished.
Although Dragon Brother called Hu Yu Ying his little shadow, there was a different vibe when he introduced Li Qing Xue—more genuine and warm.
Lin Wan Ning couldn’t help but steal a couple more glances at Hu Yu Ying.
She nodded smoothly, a gentle smile touching her lips. “Hello.” Her voice was crystal clear—like melting ice combined with babbling streams. Just hearing her voice made one feel she must sing beautifully.
“Hello,” Hu Yu Ying replied with a shallow smile. She might have changed a bit in personality now, but when facing others and Dragon Brother, she was still her original self.
“Hello,” Li Qing Xue beamed with a playful grin, giving everyone a good mood just by smiling.
At this age, their hearts were still pure—no complicated knots, just innocent joy.
Especially since they knew the girl named Lin Wan Ning, just starting her journey in learning, had almost been humiliated once. Being scolded and mistreated had left her with lingering compassion.
All because they had each been helped by Dragon Brother before, and they knew that feeling all too well.
