Chapter 336: I Thought You’d Like It Too
Looking at Dragon Brother (Male) and Lin Wan Ning (Female) walking out of the hotel together, Shen Meng Jie’s first reaction was to think she must have seen wrong.
But nope, she was dead sure she hadn’t made a mistake — because Lin Wan Ning’s icy aura and stunning beauty are pretty much unforgettable at first glance.
Watching the two of them laughing and heading towards the distant fruit tea shop, Shen Meng Jie instinctively followed behind.
She saw Dragon Brother escorting Lin Wan Ning to the entrance of the music academy, saw her tiptoe and plant a kiss on his cheek, then saw Dragon Brother with that faintly helpless look gently ruffle her long hair.
A mischievous grin played on Shen Meng Jie’s lips: “Told you we’re cut from the same cloth.”
Ever since she saw Hu Yu Ying and her friends at T University, as a seasoned ‘sea turtle’ (meaning experienced in the dating game), she could clearly sense that every time Hu Yu Ying mentioned Dragon Brother, their expressions varied, but underneath all that was a common flicker of something more complicated.
From that moment on, she’d felt Dragon Brother and herself were cut from the same bolt of cloth.
Now, she was pretty sure she wasn’t wrong.
If she remembered correctly — and she did — Hu Yu Ying was actually Dragon Brother’s girlfriend, huh?

Thinking of this, a wicked smile stretched across Shen Meng Jie’s face.
It seemed she’d stumbled upon a very intriguing game.
Just the thought of it sent her into a tizzy of excitement.
On campus, no vehicles are allowed on the main roads — not even bicycles.
Dragon Brother rode his tiny electric scooter carefully along the non-motorized lane.
The university perimeter was bustling, especially at night.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of the scooter; Dragon Brother slammed on the brakes, but even so, the figure was obviously startled.
“Dragon Brother? Could you slow down a bit?” Shen Meng Jie pretended to frown, arms crossed. “You almost ran me over.”
Seeing it was Shen Meng Jie, Dragon Brother let out a breath of relief, then laughed awkwardly: “Brake got stuck. Are you okay?”
She rolled her eyes. “If I’m okay? You almost scared me to d*ath!”
Watching Dragon Brother look like he had no idea what to say, Shen Meng Jie’s lips curled into a sly smile.
That kind of guy — as soon as you show some weakness, even if you’re being unreasonable, he’s totally lost.
“So, where are you in such a hurry to go?” Shen Meng Jie knew better than to push too hard now; instead, she needed to ease him up first.
“Going to pick someone up.”
“Perfect! Then take me to the Artificial Lake first.”
Dragon Brother checked his phone.
“What? You almost got hit, and now you want a favor? Don’t tell me you’re afraid you’ll owe me?” Shen Meng Jie shot a sidelong look.
When dealing with folks with strong morals, the simplest trick is to act overly sticky and annoying.
“That’s not it. Why are you going there so late?” he asked, flipping directions and motioning for her to hop on.
“Why ask so much?” Sitting in the back, Shen Meng Jie tilted toward Dragon Brother’s ear, teasingly giggling. “Don’t tell me you want to boss me around?”
“Talking’s pointless.”
They arrived near the Artificial Lake.
Dragon Brother stopped the scooter.
“Here we are.”
Shen Meng Jie lazily stretched in front of him, then headed toward the lake.
“Hey, my helmet,” Dragon Brother called out after her.
Earlier, when she’d come with him, he insisted she wear his helmet, worried his skills might be lacking. She’d left it on the ground.
Shen Meng Jie turned around, amused. “I thought you didn’t want it. Came to get it yourself?”
“Here, take it off,” she said, tilting her head, eyes shimmering.
“I should’ve just left you on the ground,” Dragon Brother said, reaching to unclip the helmet.
Shen Meng Jie looked at him with a flickering sort of expression, then suddenly reached up to wrap her arms around his neck. She tiptoed and kissed him.
The moment their lips touched, before she could even savor the feeling, Dragon Brother pushed her away.
“What are you doing?” he frowned, clutching her hands tightly. “What’s your game?”
Facing his question, Shen Meng Jie chuckled softly. “Are you that worried?”
But when she saw the furrow still in his brow, she shrugged, dropping her playful attitude. “Just haven’t kissed anyone in a while. Thought you wouldn’t mind too much.”
“You’re just like me — I thought you’d be happy.”
In Shen Meng Jie’s eyes, Dragon Brother should also like the thrill — that’s the only way he could be sneaking around with Lin Wan Ning while having a girlfriend.
She considered herself pretty, even compared to Lin Wan Ning, she wasn’t a step behind.
But Dragon Brother’s scowl of anger looked all too real, and for a moment, her tone softened just a tad.
“If you don’t want me to tell Huang Fei about this, don’t do something so stupid again,” he said sharply, then shook off her hands and put on his helmet, walking away without another word.
Watching his figure disappear into the night, Shen Meng Jie’s face remained blank — no trace of emotion.
“You okay?” a concerned voice called out as Ye Liang Chen and Xue Shao Hua stepped out of the woods, watching her carefully.
“Did you get the shot?” Shen Meng Jie asked calmly.
“Mm!” Xue Shao Hua glanced at his phone, a wicked grin spreading. “Guess what? Dragon Brother’s toast — it’s game over for him.”
On his screen was a photo of Dragon Brother and Shen Meng Jie kissing.
She took one look, then sent the photo to herself and promptly deleted it from Xue Shao Hua’s phone.
Seeing the photo vanish, Xue Shao Hua hurriedly said, “Why did you delete it? I… I wanted to keep—”
Shen Meng Jie shot him a side-eye. “I already saved it on my phone. Besides, isn’t it better if this kind of photo doesn’t stay in your hands?”
At that, a hint of a smile tugged at her lips. “By the way, your earrings look good today. Very handsome.”
Hearing that, Xue Shao Hua blushed, biting his lip, flipping his hair, and turning away: “These are new! You’re always scrutinizing me like this — can’t you just let me shine without fussing over every tiny detail?”
coughs Ye Liang Chen cleared his throat two times, purposely showing off the earrings on both his ears.
“Wow, so sexy,” Shen Meng Jie quipped.
Hearing that, Ye Liang Chen fought the urge to laugh, nostrils puffed up from holding in his grin, his entire face almost filled with glass beads.
This kind of shameless flattery — maybe it makes girls feel grossed out, but guys listening know it’s pure from the heart. After all, what did the little sister do wrong? Just speaking her mind…
At first, both of them had plans to play dirty with Shen Meng Jie.
