With a click, the key turned the lock on the big door.
Stepping into the yard, it was eerily quiet.
In the past, Hu Yu Ying and her brother would have been up and about by now, right?
Her gaze lingered on the door, and with pursed lips, she gently knocked.
Then, like a criminal awaiting judgment, she stood silently in front of the door.
But as seconds ticked by, Lin Wan Ning’s calm demeanor started to crumble, giving way to a growing tension.

At the sound of Little Girl’s voice, Dragon Brother gripped his fists tightly, his body trembling as he fought against his desire, finally coming to a halt.
Looking down at Little Girl, who was now weeping, he breathed heavily, repeatedly mumbling apologies.

Hearing this, Lin Wan Ning didn’t even dare to lift her head to look at Hu Yu Ying; she just lowered her gaze and nodded, trying to stand.
But her legs had gone numb from crouching for too long, and as she attempted to rise, they gave way beneath her, nearly sending her toppling to the ground.
Hu Yu Ying, seeing Lin Wan Ning falter, cursed herself but instinctively rushed to catch her.
Even though Dragon Brother took all the blame upon himself, after spending so much time with him, she knew him better than anyone else…

“Do you like Dragon Brother? When did this start?”
