Chapter 375: This Isn’t Quite What I Imagined
“Old Ao, what are you doing?”
“I’m noticing you’ve been either training or staring at your phone these past couple of days. When did you become such a homebody?”
“Let’s see… oh wow, there’s a cheerful girl voice registration for recording. Are you secretly aiming to become a celebrity by simply changing genders? Haha…”
Faced with the teasing, Long Aotian rubbed his eyes, stretched lazily, and said, “Get lost.”
Huang Fei sat beside Long Aotian. “No joke, what’s with this? Why are you messing around with this? You can’t sing, and just judging by the name, this event seems to be only for girls.”
“I helped a silly girl out.” Long Aotian scratched his head. “She loves music and her singing is really good, but she’s missing a little courage and support.”
“Stuff like this show isn’t new—all kinds of shady backstage deals, you know, there was even a report about it before…” Xu Shuai said.
Long Aotian smiled. “She’s got this.”
“Are you that sure?” Li Longlong grinned. “Then help me get one for my senior too, huh?”
“Sure, I’m confident. But your senior might not be so easy.”
“What if she gets eliminated early?” Seeing the unwavering trust and smile in Long Aotian’s eyes, Huang Fei and the others couldn’t help but tease.
“That’s okay. No matter what, I’ll support her.”
She gave him everything unreservedly—she is his backbone.
This silly girl is so darn foolish… How can she be so naive…
He gathered the things he prepared, put on his coat, and left the dorm.
Even though it was only after six o’clock, night had completely fallen. Walking under the streetlights, Long Aotian clutched the things in his arms, instinctively pulling his coat tighter.
He could already imagine Lin Wan Ning’s expression when she saw this stuff—her surprised look…
Thinking of that, his steps quickened a little.
He reached the hotel, directly going up to the second floor.
Glancing at the room number Lin Wan Ning sent via her phone, he gently turned the doorknob—sure enough, she left the door unlocked for him.
He closed the door behind him; inside, it was dark, with only a hint of light filtering through the curtains. All he saw was a figure bundled in a blanket.
Long Aotian chuckled to himself silently, placing the stuff down beside him, groping in the dark to crawl over to the bed.
He took off his coat and slipped into the quilt.
“Why are you in jeans today?”
“Ah, it hurts so much~~~”
Hearing that voice, Long Aotian froze.
Wan Ning’s voice was very distinctive—this wasn’t her voice.
The door swung open. Lin Wan Ning, wrapped in a coat, came out and looked down the stairwell. “Strange… why isn’t he here yet?”
She clenched her coat tighter, ready to send a quick message to her brother.
Just as she was about to go into her room, a shout came from the room next door.
Lin Wan Ning paused. She felt that voice was somewhat familiar, very familiar, but in her rush, she couldn’t quite place whose voice it was—only that it was definitely someone she knew well…
“b*stard!”
The familiar voice reached her ears again. Lin Wan Ning’s eyes widened. “Qing Xue?”
Staring at the door tightly shut, she covered her mouth in shock. Without much thought, she kicked the door.
With a kick, she barged in—just as she entered, a curse was about to escape her lips…
She saw Li Qing Xue, her clothes rolled up to her knees, eyes reddened, with Long Aotian nervously standing behind her.
Lin Wan Ning immediately covered her eyes, slammed the door shut, and leaned against the wall. “Oh no…”
Seeing Lin Wan Ning come into the room, Li Qing Xue bit her lip, covering her face. “Get out…”
“Oh, okay.” Long Aotian cast a complicated look at Lin Wan Ning dressed in a coat, but just as he moved—
“Don’t move…” Li Qing Xue muffled her lips, lowering her voice sharply.
For a moment, Long Aotian dared not move either, only asking cautiously, “Should I leave now or stay?”
“You’re dead, Long Aotian. I’m going to tell Hu Yu Ying about your bad deeds—ouch, it hurts so much, boohoo…”
Hearing this, Long Aotian paled and tried to come out.
“Don’t move, I beg you, boohoo…”
Long Aotian broke out in sweat. “You, what are you doing in this room? Th-This…”
At this moment, Lin Wan Ning suddenly raised her hand. “It’s my fault. When I arrived, the sign for Room 6 was about to fall off. I didn’t notice. I should have warned you. Brother, you went into the wrong room—this is 6, the 9 is inside.”
Hearing this, Long Aotian felt as if a thunderbolt struck him—such an unlikely coincidence, he had actually run into it himself. Staring at Qing Xue in front of him, he knew he was truly doomed this time…
“I’m going to tell Ah Ying! I’ll report you, Long Aotian—wait for your doom, you…”
As she spoke, Lin Wan Ning hurriedly stepped forward.
Seeing her coming to rescue him, Li Qing Xue sniffed, moved by emotion, and shot a glance at Long Aotian. Her little hand viciously patted Long Aotian’s thigh several times to vent her fury. “Wan Ning, help me…”
In the next second, Lin Wan Ning nodded to Li Qing Xue, gave a playful wink, then covered Li Qing Xue’s mouth. “Brother, hurry up, or Qing Xue’s going to report you…”
“Are you crazy?” Long Aotian blurted, but his heart couldn’t stop pounding.
Li Qing Xue also froze. “This is totally different from what I imagined…”
…
Always, Li Qing Xue was like the neighborhood girl in Long Aotian’s mind.
From the first time they met, mistook her for a future goddess of the water, to clearing up misunderstandings—with each moment, her pure and untouchable heart was obvious.
After arriving in Kyoto, seeing Li Qing Xue alone, clearly anxious but still coming to the station to pick him up and Little Girl, made him find her adorable and loyal.
In the restaurant, because her roommate praised the beauty of love, she bashfully kissed him, trying to feel what a kiss was like…
Seeing herself and Little Girl walking together, she would offer her blessings, support Little Girl, and even scold herself when she didn’t do as she was told…
She was like a little angel, spreading happiness and goodness everywhere.
But then, a terrible mistake happened.
The sharp contrast left Long Aotian at a loss on how to face her.
He suddenly wished this was just a dream—a bad dream. If he could wake up and find everything the way it used to be…
