Upon hearing this, Li Qing Xue instinctively straightened her back, shot a glance at Dragon Brother, and then proudly declared, “Of course! You two are just way too dependent on Dragon Brother.”
“Alright, stop giving your brother those looks. Weren’t you having a great time last night?” Lin Wan Ning whispered with a chuckle in Li Qing Xue’s ear.
Others might not know, but Lin Wan Ning saw everything clearly yesterday. That cute little face of Li Qing Xue, blushing so hard it could water a plant, especially that moment when her drool stretched!
Hearing this, Li Qing Xue’s cheeks immediately flushed. She quickly pinched Lin Wan Ning’s thigh and said, “No, don’t say that! Forget about last night!”
“Then dear sister, let me hear you call me that first,” Lin Wan Ning giggled while covering her mouth.
Li Qing Xue gritted her teeth but ultimately compromised and called out, “Sister.”
That “sister” hit Lin Wan Ning right in the feels, and she eagerly leaned in to respond with a delighted “Aww!”
They shared a knowing smile. Last night, it was indeed Lin Wan Ning who pushed things along, enabling Dragon Brother to take the plunge.

Li Qing Xue looked down, fiddling with her fingers, “I… I’m already fine.”
“So, um, you’re really okay?”
“I’m fine; I have thick skin.”
Li Qing Xue chuckled lightly, but her eyes wandered elsewhere. “Your skin is thick enough.”
“Dragon Brother, what exactly do you think of me?”
When Li Qing Xue uttered this, her heart tightened. She had genuinely fallen for someone, and that someone was Dragon Brother. But she never knew how he felt about her.
If he had even the slightest bit of affection for her, just a smidgen, as long as he admits it, she would cling to him for life. If he didn’t feel anything, she would maintain her distance as always.

“Qing Xue,” Dragon Brother called her name.
Li Qing Xue clenched her hand but still didn’t turn to see him.
Facing someone who made her feel this way was also something she struggled with, not just Dragon Brother, but she couldn’t figure out how to confront anyone.
The next moment, a big, careful hand gently held her clenched fist.
The hand was rough but warm against the chilly weather.
In an instant, it felt like all her strength drained away. Her clenched fist slowly relaxed, finally grabbing onto Dragon Brother’s hand.
“Hey, it’s broad daylight; how scandalous!” Lin Wan Ning’s voice suddenly piped up.

Li Qing Xue, feigning serious annoyance, reached out to grab Lin Wan Ning. “Stop mocking me! I’ll ruin your makeup!”
Watching the two young ladies playfully bicker, Dragon Brother glanced at his hand, a smile creeping on his face as he was inevitably drawn in by their laughter.
“Are you coming to our dorm?” Li Qing Xue shot a question to Lin Wan Ning.
“Sure! But what about your brother?” Lin Wan Ning asked.
Li Qing Xue glanced back at Dragon Brother, and as their eyes met, she gently pressed her lips together, “He’s fine.”
And with that, she left Dragon Brother behind, taking Lin Wan Ning back to her dorm.
Once inside, Li Qing Xue couldn’t wait to start changing her clothes.
Even a simple outfit couldn’t hide the lively spirit of Li Qing Xue. “What do you think of this outfit?”
“Looks great.”
“What about this one?”
“Also looks great.”
“This one?”
“Are you going on a blind date? Not even that formal!” Lin Wan Ning replied, rolling her eyes.
After a few rounds of changing, Li Qing Xue finally settled on her first outfit and opened her bag, pulling out some earrings and her makeup kit.
With a light touch of makeup evenly applied on both cheeks, she flashed a sweet smile highlighting her cute dimples.
Looking at Lin Wan Ning’s red lips, she whispered, “I don’t have lipstick.”
Lin Wan Ning patted her coat pocket. “I didn’t bring mine.”
“Who said? You do,” Li Qing Xue insisted softly.
Lin Wan Ning shrugged, thinking Li Qing Xue didn’t believe her. “I really didn’t bring any. If I had, I would’ve let you use it—after all, this ‘sister’ title doesn’t come cheap.”
Li Qing Xue slowly approached Lin Wan Ning, cupped her face, and pressed her lips against Lin Wan Ning’s red lips.
Lin Wan Ning’s eyes widened, blinking…
