Chapter 80: As Everyone Knows, I Have a Heart of Justice
Dragon Brother had no choice but to follow the Homeroom Teacher forward.
Before they could even reach the office door, a sharp, unreasonable question pierced the air.
Dragon Brother turned his head. He didn’t recognize the lady, but the boy being shielded behind her could only be Ye Liang Chen!
Even with a layer of white gauze on his nose, Dragon Brother recognized him instantly.
At that moment, Ye Liang Chen’s mother also spotted Dragon Brother following the female teacher.
With a tall and strong physique, Ye Liang Chen could only look up at him due to his shorter stature.
As a grown woman and a mother, Ye Liang Chen’s mom felt no fear whatsoever; instead, she directly confronted him. “So, you’re the one who hit my son?”
Dragon Brother was dumbfounded. Instead of defending himself, he turned to Ye Liang Chen. “You said I hit you?”
Noticing Dragon Brother’s gaze, Ye Liang Chen’s eyes darted away, stealthily hiding further behind his mother.
There was no way around it; the sight of Hu Yu Ying personally putting an apron on Dragon Brother had deeply wounded him.
Especially when he got hurt because of Dragon Brother, and Hu Yu Ying still didn’t care for him. Instead, she left with Dragon Brother!
It inflicted unprecedented damage to Ye Liang Chen’s heart.
Later, he drunkenly staggered home, bl**d stains all over him, including the dry bl**d in his nostrils, which of course didn’t escape his parents’ notice.
No one could remain indifferent upon seeing their child in such a state, and Ye Liang Chen’s parents were no exception.
Feeling already heartbroken over their precious girl, they reacted to seeing their son battered.
Touched by their concern and questions, Ye Liang Chen couldn’t hold back and burst into tears.
Having a bit of alcohol only fueled his emotional explosion, and he unleashed a torrent of complaints about Dragon Brother.
Calling him a thief who stole the girl that was supposed to be his.
And he even hurled insults at him one after another.
All these grievances bottled up inside him.
But looking at his son in such a miserable state, crying and shouting, his parents immediately assumed he’d been bullied.
They were ready to seek justice for their son.
Afterward, Ye Liang Chen woke up, regretting that he had let booze lead him astray, but deep down, there was also a flicker of hope.
If his parents made a fuss at school, Dragon Brother’s misdeeds would be laid bare for all to see, and he could indirectly show everyone, including Dragon Brother, that he had his parents backing him.
In his dreams, he was still too small, too immature.
He had never dared to tell his parents about the bullying he suffered from Dragon Brother at school.
But now that he had been reborn, his mindset had shifted dramatically.
Using this situation was a means of self-protection.
There was nothing embarrassing about it.
As long as he could achieve the desired effect, wasn’t it all worth it?
So, Ye Liang Chen chose silence, letting events unfold!
Noticing her son was cowering behind her, Ye Mother felt a pang in her heart and glared at Dragon Brother. “Look at what you’ve done! You’ve scared my son into hiding!”
“And this is in front of us parents and the teachers. What if it’s somewhere we can’t see? Who knows how ferocious you really are!”
Facing Ye Mother’s scorn, the Homeroom Teacher frowned slightly. “This is a school. We can resolve any issues calmly. No need to shout; it disrupts other students’ learning.”
“You’re trying to defend this guy, huh? I knew what sort of teacher produces what sort of student. Just look at the state my son’s in.”
Dragon Brother stepped forth, blocking the Homeroom Teacher’s path.
Standing tall in front of Ye Mother was definitely intimidating.
“Have you said enough?”
“Do you even know what happened?”
He glanced at Ye Liang Chen, hiding behind his mother, and scoffed. “You claim I hit your son? Produce some evidence that I did.”
“If you can’t prove it, don’t just shout here. Volume doesn’t equate to justice.”
The Homeroom Teacher momentarily froze when he stood before her, and hearing these words genuinely astonished her.
In the past, Dragon Brother had a notorious temper, exploding at the smallest provocations. To hear these words from him was truly unexpected.
The Homeroom Teacher quickly asked Ye Liang Chen, “Can you recount the events in front of everyone? If it’s Dragon Brother’s fault, I’ll make him apologize.”
“Don’t be afraid, son. Just speak boldly. Mama and your teachers will have your back.”
At this, Ye Liang Chen could only sh**t an angry glare at Dragon Brother.
Seriously! He thought, if Dragon Brother was as hot-tempered as usual, confronted with false accusations, he’d just explode in rage. Even if he hadn’t done anything wrong, it would still end up looking like it was his fault!
What more did he need to argue about? Was he afraid of getting another demerit on top of this?
Unbelievable!
So he held his head high and confidently spun the tale.
“I was under a lot of study pressure, so I had a beer. Then I saw Dragon Brother harassing a girl. As everyone knows, I have a heart of justice, so I said Dragon Brother should focus on his studies.”
“My intentions were for his own good, but…” he pretended to tremble in fear.
“But then, Dragon Brother suddenly lifted his beer bottle, and I thought he was going to smash it on me! I dodged, and that’s how my nose got hit.”
After Ye Liang Chen finished, both Class 1’s Homeroom Teacher and Dragon Brother’s teacher stared at him in shock.
“Did you all hear that? My son was just trying to help, but what happened? If Dragon Brother hadn’t lifted the beer bottle and scared my son, he wouldn’t have smashed his own nose!” Ye Mother’s arms were crossed, her voice shrill and accusatory!
“At such a young age, learning to flirt instead of focusing on studies? Is this the kind of environment your school fosters?”
Dragon Brother’s brow furrowed. Honestly, he was starting to feel the urge to slap Ye Liang Chen right in the face.
If he weren’t personally involved, he might actually believe him. So convincing, ugh!
He was just about to retort when a slightly cold, furious voice interrupted.
“He’s lying.”
Everyone turned to see Hu Yu Ying rushing over, panic in her stride.
This time, she faced all those gazes without a hint of fear, raising her chin to confront Ye Liang Chen directly. “Teacher, he’s lying.”
“I can vouch for Dragon Brother because I was there. Ye Liang Chen’s nose was definitely hit by himself; it had nothing to do with anyone else!”
Hu Yu Ying’s gaze locked onto Ye Liang Chen, her lips pressed tightly together. What a despicable guy!
