### Chapter 292: Farewell, Little Sister
Standing in this twisted city, White Yu felt completely enveloped by the aura and pressure of the Dark Moon God. Here, it was nearly impossible to pinpoint the exact location of the Dark Moon God through the aura alone; the atmosphere had thickened to a point that everything felt overwhelmingly potent.
However, after taking a moment to sense her surroundings and using her instincts, she could vaguely determine a general direction. Once she entered that area, she was absolutely sure she would find the Dark Moon God.
Another reason for her conviction was that the aura of the Dark Moon God was actively pulling her in, an unfamiliar sensation she had never experienced with the Dark Moon God before. If all went well, it was likely linked to her current form.
Shadows of pitch-black monsters slid silently by her, making not a whisper.
In this monochrome and eerily quiet world, even the Evil Gods and Evil Ghosts would eventually lose their minds over time. No wonder those Evil Gods were so desperate to get out! Even they craved some emotional interaction now and then, which seemed utterly rejected in this dreary atmosphere.
White Yu tugged her hood down, obscuring most of her face, revealing only her grayish-black lips.
Her long black leather coat seemed to meld perfectly with this dismal world. Everything about her, from her presence to her aura, fit seamlessly into this environment, perhaps even more than in the outside world.
Just as she had speculated earlier, maybe her current body was born from this place.
She hurried through the city’s streets, heading towards the Sunlight Apartment where Zhao Mingyue lived in the real world. The Dark Moon God’s aura around her subtly intensified, confirming her assumptions were indeed correct.
That rogue Dark Moon God was really in the Sunlight Apartment.
The Sunlight Apartment was just a small building, and the only thing White Yu could think of that made it special was her connection with Zhao Mingyue.
Yet, she couldn’t wrap her head around why the Dark Moon God would choose to sleep there. Had she been stationary all this time?
On her way, the Little Ghosts started eyeing her again.
This time, there were more types of monsters, and their numbers had swelled.
Maybe the distance was too great; her powers as the Black Sun Godmother were practically ineffective, and the Little Ghosts showed zero fear of her.
As she marched along, she had taken down quite the number of monsters without even realizing it. The surroundings were darkened significantly from her rampage, littered with the black ashes and smoke from the monsters she had slaughtered.
Standing before the Sunlight Apartment, White Yu gripped her long kn*fe, the blade angled toward the ground.
If one looked closely, they would see the kn*fe quivering slightly.
It wasn’t fear; it was a swirl of complex emotions that she struggled to articulate, a mix so tangled that she wasn’t even sure how to approach this building.
She had arrived at this place; there was no doubt the Dark Moon God was inside, most likely in Room 404, where she and Zhao Mingyue lived in real life.
If it were just the Dark Moon God here, she would not have felt this complicated turmoil.
Sure, anger might have bubbled up, but there wouldn’t have been any hesitation or desire to flee.
Deep down, White Yu understood why these emotions were surfacing; they wouldn’t change even if her powers grew stronger. They were etched deeply into her soul.
She had considered countless scenarios and solutions throughout her journey.
Now, standing here, completely different thoughts occupied her mind.
Putting away her long kn*fe, White Yu stepped into the Ghost Gate world of the Sunlight Apartment.
In the vicinity of this apartment building, not a single monster dared to tread, creating a vacuum void of any creatures. Similarly, inside the apartment, it was devoid of monsters as well.
Ascending the stairs step by step, she felt the pressure mount with each stride. That dangerous sensation stimulated her body’s nerves, something she hadn’t felt in a long time.
When she was younger, before facing off against the final boss in the sc*m Game world, she would have a similar feeling that made her body buzz with excitement.
But the imagined danger did not materialize; the Dark Moon God hadn’t set up even basic defenses here.
Reaching the fourth floor felt almost surreal, as if she had returned to the Sunlight Apartment itself. Below, the environment had shown slight differences, but up here, every detail was exactly the same.
As she stepped into the hallway, White Yu suddenly felt that this floor wasn’t meant to exist in this world; perhaps the Dark Moon God had twisted it into this form by some means.
The sound of her heartbeat faded in and out. When she reached the door of Room 404 and placed her hand on the doorknob, her heartbeat became strikingly clear, as if the source was right beside her. Oddly enough, all the pressure and sense of danger vanished in an instant.
In its place was a familiar feeling. This was definitely not the same kind of familiarity she felt when she and Zhao Mingyue returned to their home in Room 404.
The Room 404 before her looked just like the one in reality, or at least it appeared that way.
After a moment of hesitation, she chose to push open the ajar security door.
Inside, it was different from what she had imagined. Unlike the decorated Room 404 she knew in the real world, this one was engulfed in darkness, as if the door led straight to an abyss—its interior was filled with deep shadows. The only splash of color was the center of this dark world: a girl lying suspended in the air, caught in a deep slumber.
At the sight of the girl, White Yu halted in her tracks, her pupils dilating, gripping the doorknob tighter until it crumbled under her fingers.
Even though she had guessed this outcome before arriving, seeing it with her own eyes was a whole different ball game—saying her heart didn’t leap a little would be a total lie.
Thankfully, the mental preparations she had made weren’t for naught; her years of inner strength training had not gone to waste.
In an instant, her emotions surged, but White Yu quickly regained her composure.
The girl lying there was Bai Sisi, her little sister.
She had grown up now, looking around eleven or twelve.
Yet, it felt like there had been no obvious changes. Whatever she looked like when they parted was how she looked now—her face, her body, her arms; everything bore little difference from White Yu’s memories, even the white dress purchased from the market next to the monastery remained unchanged.
