It’s safe to say that the Dragon Lady’s wrath didn’t start with the sc*m Game; it actually began in this world. As her soul was gradually stripped away, she began to change. Nightmare was only interested in part of the memories; she really wanted to know the Dragon Lady’s views on the Doctor and why she suddenly turned into this after entering that world.
The contrast between her memories and her current self was like night and day.
However, just as she was about to delve deeper into the next part of the story, she found her powers suddenly being restricted.
“Isn’t this enough to see?” The Dragon Lady’s voice resonated from behind her, and when Nightmare turned around, she realized this version of the Dragon Lady wasn’t from the real world, but from the sc*m Game period.
With her arms crossed, the Dragon Lady squinted her golden slitted eyes. “Surprised, are you? You know about that Evil God leader in Eternal Life Village, right? The Burning Heart Goddess? Her abilities are pretty much like yours. For a while there, I had to outsmart her almost daily.”
“Ah, so this is how you did it,” Nightmare thought, recognizing the body of the Dragon Lady.
The earlier memory block was because that version of the Dragon Lady was too weak, but in the sc*m Game era, it was a different story altogether.
After all, this was her own dream. Nightmare wasn’t the absolute controller; she borrowed power from the sc*m Game period, and with great difficulty managed to pin Nightmare down. Of course, Nightmare couldn’t blame her; she simply didn’t have the capability to send her into deep sleep—right now, they were just skimming the surface.
“Now can we talk about your objective? You asked me a question; I’ll ask you one too.”

“You love your sister a lot, and so do I. I never thought I’d get back here, to see that silly girl again. I think you can totally relate to that feeling.”
“What you said is completely right—everything else is fake compared to family. What am I working so hard for, if not for the past?”
“Now that I have the past, it’s like I’ve fulfilled my wish. But this wish is ultimately fake. One day, we’ll still have to leave and part ways forever.”
“To be honest, I’m tired. Playing mind games with you lunatics is not fun at all. You think I want to trouble the Doctor? She’s annoying as heck when she’s trying to cut me! I get bothered just being chased by her! But what bothers me more is that months or years down the line, I’ll have to relive the feeling of losing everything all over again.”
“If you want to stay in this world forever, there’s only one way: eliminate all competitors.”
With a swift motion, she crushed Bai Yu’s shadow, and Nightmare’s smile vanished. “In this world, there can only be one survivor. The others must either complete their tasks to return or d*e. That’s the rule of the sc*m Game.”
