The Evil God struggled like a fish out of water, tearing away at Bai Yu’s bl**d threads and tentacles layer by layer. But she had just entered the real world and hadn’t truly transformed yet, so her strength didn’t match her ambition. The speed at which she tore away was nowhere near how fast Bai Yu could recover.
Gradually, the Evil God’s struggle weakened. If she couldn’t take on Qian Mu, the combination of Qian Mu and Bai Yu was just too much for her. After letting out a final screech, the cocoon formed by Bai Yu’s bl**d threads shriveled up.
As Bai Yu retracted the bl**d threads, she looked down at her skin, now tinged with a faint blackness—the haunting signature of the Evil God’s malicious influence.
“This poor sap really is unlucky, huh? You can tell she didn’t want to come out at all.”
The Dragon Lady, now back in her human form, walked over. Noticing Bai Yu staring at the ground, she asked curiously, “Bai Yu, is this going to affect Mingyue?”
“Nope.” Bai Yu left Zhao Mingyue’s body, and the gloomy skin returned to its original hue.
“All’s well that ends well, let’s head back.” With that, Bai Yu vanished, melding back into Zhao Mingyue’s shadow.
“Anyway, this place is pretty much cleaned up. The rest is all you,” the Dragon Lady said, glancing at Chen Yunshi behind her. “I had a bit of collaboration with your dad, but that was just for convenience. Now that things are wrapping up, I’m heading out first.”
“Mhm.” Chen Yunshi nodded. After the Dragon Lady tugged Zhao Mingyue away, she couldn’t help but steal a glance at Chairman Chen.
She realized her dad really wasn’t that bright. It was one thing to hunt Bai Yu with the Tianfa Sect, but partnering with the Dragon Lady? Did he really not know that Bai Yu literally used the Dragon Lady’s body to take them down?
Even without Bai Yu, the Dragon Lady was still a dangerous entity—one of the top three, mind you! Just look at her smiling now; if she decided to go all out, those Gatekeepers wouldn’t stand a chance.
“Yunshi, thanks a ton for this. I—”
“Just clean up the scene and then sort out the Tianfa Sect’s business, no wasting time here.”
With just that, she turned and left, leaving dozens of Gatekeepers standing around, awkwardly looking at each other.
The entire building fell eerily silent. Aside from the bl**d and corpses, everything had been cleaned up without a trace, reminding them of that earlier mission where over a hundred people had seemed to vanish into thin air. No bodies, no signs—just gone.
Now, they understood why. Just moments ago, they witnessed the Black Sun God handle the battlefield cleanup.
Everything felt unreal, like a nightmare that could be forgotten upon waking.
They were free—no danger remained—but not a single person spoke.
Many couldn’t help but think that when they returned, they should quit this identity and take their families to enjoy life.

“Chairman of the Gatekeepers is your dad, so why didn’t you just go pick a fight with An Que earlier?” the Dragon Lady asked as they strolled through the empty streets.
Chen Yunshi looked ahead at Qian Mu and Zhao Mingyue playfully goofing around and softly replied, “I didn’t know An Que’s identity before, didn’t even know he existed. That rascal Qian Mu kept it under wraps.”
“And knowing wouldn’t help. I have no connection to the Gatekeepers. My mom took me away when I was young, keeping me far from my father. You could say my life has been completely unrelated to the Gatekeepers.”
“Even looking for my father wouldn’t be useful. He ranks higher than An Que, but not by much. The Gatekeepers are actually split into several factions, though it appears divided into two on the surface.”
“Not to mention, back then I was too focused on revenge to think that far.”
The Dragon Lady nodded thoughtfully. It wasn’t hard to understand; after all, she was someone who’d come out of a sc*m Game. Seeking revenge against local powers was just awkward, especially given her situation. If it were her, she wouldn’t want to track down some Chen family chairman either.

“Nope, this guy’s someone you and the Doctor know—Li Tianan, the owner of the convenience store where Zhao Mingyue works.”
“Just him?”
“Don’t underestimate him, though he might not be a problem for you. I just hope things don’t get too chaotic. Even if there’s a power struggle, let’s just try not to disrupt the normal world.”
As soon as Chen Yunshi said that, even the Dragon Lady couldn’t help but sh**t her a few scrutinizing looks. Words unspoken, but her gaze asked if she was serious.

“Trapped tightly in the sc*m Game’s grasp. I’d say the three of us can represent our group, right?”
If the top three are like that, what of the others?
“I think these changes are great; I personally don’t mind.”

Chen Yunshi frowned. “I know a bit about that. She’s been killing people, targeting our group. Either they end up dead or they join her. Not sure what exactly she’s planning, but she tried contacting me a few days ago.”
“Just make sure you don’t hop on her pirate ship; it’d get messy.”
“No worries, I’m already fed up with it.” As Chen Yunshi said this, she glanced at Qian Mu, drawing the Dragon Lady’s eye.
Suddenly, the Dragon Lady spoke up, “Undead, how much do you know about shattered souls? I’m planning to tackle this issue head-on soon. To put it plainly, I’m thinking of swallowing the other side.”
“I wonder if that could help regain some of my soul—even if it’s not complete, it’d be fine.”
Chen Yunshi wasn’t angered by the topic. Her relationship with Qian Mu was a unique one—there was no second like it in the world, and she didn’t expect the Dragon Lady to share the same mindset.
“Theoretically, it’s possible, given you can find her and successfully k*ll her.”

In reality, the Dragon Lady wasn’t so much concerned about whether she could follow through; she was more worried about Zhao Mingyue’s side.
If that girl thought the Dragon Lady was the sister-slaughtering culprit, things could get messy.
She couldn’t guarantee who the true “Zhao Yi” really was.
Not killing this girl wasn’t an option—taking her down was the fastest route to power amplification.
