But the Gatekeepers were much larger in number.
Wherever they were, saying that people were living in misery was an understatement; they had a monopoly on tyranny and wrongdoing.

“Li Tianan, let’s talk. Your daughter’s situation isn’t beyond help. Just let me go, and I’ll find a way.”
“And your daughter’s fate isn’t solely up to me; others are involved. Don’t you want to know who?”
“Let me go, and I’ll lead you to them!”
Chairman Chen’s survival instinct was going into overdrive. In this situation, his mind was consumed with how to survive Li Tianan’s wrath, and he didn’t even think about the existence of anyone else or the fate of the Gatekeeper organization.
If he died, so be it; there were more where he came from.
But if he died, he’d have nothing left!

She knew Li Tianan wasn’t a pushover but didn’t expect him to stir up such a big ruckus.
The curses from three Evil Gods had been absorbed; two of whom were “old friends,” no wonder she hadn’t seen them in Eternal Life Village—they were captured by Nightmare! That was somewhat expected.
How on earth had Li Tianan managed to stuff three Evil Gods into a human body?
Bai Yu folded her wings and landed.
“With your current state, being alive for three days would be impressive.”

“I can help you with your daughter; you should’ve mentioned it earlier instead of hiding it and conspiring with that guy.”
Bai Yu spoke calmly. “Did you really think she was being kind? You should consider what you’ve been doing—what’s in it for her?”
“I always thought you were smart, and if you were really that smart, you’d understand. She gathered you all here to k*ll, using the life force of these Gatekeepers and the three Evil Gods in you to accomplish something.”
“And that is to open the Ghost Gate within your daughter.”
Li Tianan froze. His expression indicated he thought she was joking—she had to be joking, right?
Of course, Bai Yu ruthlessly exposed the truth, knowing Li Tianan wouldn’t dare face reality.
“With three Evil Gods, over a hundred Evil Ghosts, and countless Evil Spirits, combined with the lifeforce of over two hundred individuals—all these people have actually enhanced their souls.”

“You know how special the Ghost Gate within your daughter’s body is, so the cost of opening it far exceeds your imagination.”
“The power of three Evil Gods is simply not enough, so you’re just a pawn. You think you can live for two more days? Tonight, you will d*e. If you don’t, the three Evil Gods inside you will lose their value.”
With that said, the choice ahead was now entirely up to Li Tianan. If he continued this path, Bai Yu would have to k*ll him.

His face shifted, and he kicked sideways; as Bai Yu dodged, he unleashed a straight punch aimed right at her face, moving with incredible speed. Aiming to follow up with a flurry of sword lights toward her, his attacks rained down like a storm.
Yet, Bai Yu danced around him skillfully; Li Tianan couldn’t land a single hit!
To her, his attacks were like wild, uncoordinated punches. He couldn’t adapt to his newfound strength, and thus most of his strikes were flailing wildly.
With a single punch, he smashed a Gatekeeper’s head, sending their upper body flying apart.
Stabilizing his balance with a forward footstep, Li Tianan launched another powerful strike aimed at Bai Yu’s chest. After she dodged, that punch connected with Chairman Chen instead, effectively splitting him in half. He never expected to meet such a humiliating end.
When he first saw Bai Yu, he thought he was saved.
With her in play, how could Li Tianan stand a chance? He figured he could somehow save himself through Chen Yunshi’s connections.
But Bai Yu had no intention of saving him; from start to finish, she didn’t cast him a single glance.
She lifted a hand, her palm looking so petite yet, against all odds, managed to firmly catch Li Tianan’s punch.
Li Tianan tried to retract his hand, but he discovered that in this state, his strength couldn’t overcome Bai Yu, the little girl.
