Chapter 117 Understanding the Classification of Spirit Vision
So the path I chose is “Spirit Vision.”
After leaving the cafe, I headed straight to the Library. I wanted to take this time to understand the definition of Spirit Vision at the Extraordinary Academy and see if it’s similar to descriptions like “Inner and Outer World.”
If I had to evaluate what Spirit Vision is, I would say it’s like playing a game. What normal people see are beautiful visuals and an exceptional gaming experience.
But what I see are the “codes” running in the background of the game. Others see exquisite landscapes and tourists, while I see moving textures and models; going even deeper, it’s the code running.
For an ordinary person, this would be a terrible experience—an outright negative review—but I cannot help but play this game.
Because this is “Reality Online.”
But now that I’ve made it through and have somewhat “adapted,” this “bug” has become a useful tool for me to understand the truth of the world.
Upon arriving at the Library, I began searching for popular science books on Spirit Vision. Everything must be done step by step; there’s nothing wrong with professionals reading popular science books. Only with corresponding concepts in mind can one conduct more in-depth research.
Soon, I found the relevant popular science book. Taking it to a corner of the Library, I began reading.
The book starts with the definition of Spirit Vision; the term “Spirit Vision” was originally called this because of the concept of “spirit,” which is inherently present in this world — “everything has spirit,” derived from “spirit,” combined with the fact that this effect is perceived through the eyes, thus originally called “Spirit Vision.”
In saying so, it doesn’t sound unreasonable. After all, based on the premise that “everything has spirit,” Spirit Vision can indeed see the essence behind everything. If “spirit” refers to the extraordinary level, it is indeed a reasonable explanation.
Moreover, “spirit power” initially broadly referred to all extraordinary powers, and it was only after subdivision that terms like “elemental,” “natural force,” “magic power,” and “witch power” emerged.
This explanation also seems understandable.
It’s like “air”; eventually, it gets subdivided into oxygen, nitrogen, and so on, merely clarifying the definitions, albeit making it a bit more complex.
Then the book starts explaining how Spirit Vision comes about. Spirit Vision derives from the “blessing of the world,” as the Earth Vein information classifies Spirit Vision as a talent.
To be precise, Spirit Vision is not a direct blessing from the world; instead, it is the blessing of the world accomplishing a kind of ceremony where people in the human world possess Spirit Vision and have formed a unique “world power system” in my world using Spirit Vision as a type of strength.
And since it’s a “power system,” there will naturally be stages for promotion.
The popular science book also records the promotion levels of Spirit Vision.
They are: Foresight, Imaging, Unknowable, Threshold of Madness, Floating World, and Real World.
A total of six levels. When I saw “Floating World,” I finally realized what my Spirit Vision level meant according to the Earth Vein information!
It turns out that this is my Spirit Vision level!
Floating World, doesn’t this mean I’ve reached the fifth stage?
Then wouldn’t leveling up one more stage make me “invincible”?
But if I’m invincible, how come I don’t know it?
I looked at my hands, squeezed them, oh, it turns out I’m not invincible yet. The Spirit Vision power system is not merely about strength or power.
The power system doesn’t solely refer to the path of strength; it can also be seen as the path of ability.
In this sense, power is just a benefit that comes with the power system, meaning Spirit Vision can also allow me to master equal strength!
I just don’t know how to use it yet!
Thinking of this, I gained a deeper understanding and confidence in myself. Indeed, this is the benefit of being a transmigrator!
Without adequate recognition, I still don’t know how powerful I really am; what a pity.
Although a bit smug, I quickly calmed down. Right now, my understanding of the extraordinary world is still too limited.
The simplest thing is that my understanding is insufficient. I now know I need to learn knowledge, but I can’t blindly learn; I need to study based on what I actually need.
Even though I’m in the Library, I’m just a fool with a treasure vault.
Because my understanding of the extraordinary is insufficient, I even didn’t know what “keywords” to enter when searching for needed books!
Directly typing “Spirit Vision” yields results that are too broad, taking a long time to find books, and sometimes the book titles can be misleading, with the content being professional knowledge yet labeled “shallow analysis” or “detailed explanation.” Looking at the classifications, they are popular science books.
So at this point, having a good teacher becomes very important. Speaking of teachers, I naturally thought of my advisor; our first meeting was indeed quite dramatic.
Although I still think she’s very dangerous, she gives me a trustworthy feeling.
Moreover, she said she would help me analyze my unknown “Extraordinary Knowledge.” This did indeed intrigue me, but I haven’t reached that point yet; one misstep in the extraordinary world can lead to irreversible consequences.
I want to live a little longer, so let’s not mention the “Extraordinary Knowledge” for now, unless Teacher Ji brings it up herself; after all, by then, whether I want to or not, I’ll probably have to learn it.
I looked at the book in my hands that I had finished flipping through and put it back, but the choice of the next book posed a dilemma for me.
“It’s rare; I didn’t expect to see you here in the Library.”
A sudden voice interrupted my thoughts.
I turned around and saw a familiar face, Tan Han. What is she doing here?
No, her presence here is actually normal, right? Before classes officially start, the Library is indeed the best place to encounter extraordinary powers.
“Tan Han…” I instinctively spoke, but my gaze was a bit evasive.
“Did something happen? I feel like you’re avoiding me,” Tan Han said candidly. After all, my behavior was unusual to her and changed without any apparent reason.
“Sorry, I promised someone that I can’t contact you,” I said directly after a moment of silence with my head lowered. After all, if many things are made clear, there will be fewer problems, and I hope this is the case as well.
“Hmm? Why? Who? Is someone threatening you? Speak up; I will convince them,” she asked.
“A… very close… sister. Sorry, I volunteered; there was no threat; you’re overthinking it. I just hope we can maintain a pleasant distance in the future. Thank you.”
I explained to her word by word, even though the look in her eyes remained puzzled.
“Are you sure? I could say something callous about your behavior,” At this moment, when Tan Han said this, it seemed like she let out a self-deprecating laugh, as if to ease the awkwardness of our conversation.
“Um, I can only say sorry.”
“Don’t you want to explain a bit?”
