Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School – Chapter 3

Chapter 3 This is a spontaneous trip

Although I’m supposed to stay at Sister Bai’s place for a while, I can’t just live like a couch potato and mooch off her like she does, so I found a part-time job nearby. The pay isn’t much, but at least I’ll have some money.

As for the tuition issue… If it really comes down to it, I’ll just borrow from Sister Bai. After all, there’s no time left.

I admit that I didn’t consider this aspect thoroughly.

But if I borrow money, I will definitely pay it back, even though nowadays, borrowing money seems like a big deal. Perhaps it’s related to my dislike of being indebted to others.

The admission notice came quickly, even faster than I expected; I received it not long after the recent holiday had begun.

The Witch Academy is very welcoming to students arriving early to adapt to academy life, and I noticed that the notice mentioned subsidies for male students!

This really is a conscientious academy. As long as it doesn’t force me into anything against my will in the future, anyone who dares to speak ill of the Witch Academy will become my enemy!

The first thing I did upon receiving the admission notice was to share my joy with Sister Bai. As for my parents…

Forget it, I won’t mention them. If they see this, it will only make them feel ashamed, right?

Since they want to raise a little backup, then I might as well not have existed. After all, I was treated like this at home before, and I was constantly taking the heat. My younger brother, seeing my low status at home, followed my parents’ example. Why did he have to learn this?

He’s not a kid anymore; doesn’t he have a mind of his own?

“Sister Bai, the admission notice has arrived.”

I approached Bai Yu with the opened admission notice. “At this time, aren’t you going to introduce your alma mater to me?”

“Although the internal situation of the academy cannot be disclosed to the outside world, I’m going to be a formal student soon. Can’t we talk about it?”

Bai Yu, holding my admission notice, looked deep in thought. “Actually, there’s not much to say. The Witch Academy is just a place for training witches. You’ll know when you get there.”

“Again with this.” I watched as Sister Bai stood up and walked toward her bedroom, so I got up and leaned over to ask, “What’s up? What are you going to do, Sister Bai?”

“Packing things up, getting ready to leave.”

“Ah? So soon?” I was a bit surprised by Sister Bai’s speed. I just got the notice, and she’s already preparing to go?

“Then what do you want? You’re a boy; it’s better to get to the academy earlier.” Bai Yu said this while forgetting to walk into her bedroom.

Even though I didn’t understand why I, as a boy, needed to arrive early at the academy, could it be that there are special privileges?

With a rustling noise, two suitcases were rummaged out.

Since these are suitcases, it means they contain Sister Bai’s clothes and such, so I sensibly stepped aside to avoid suspicion.

I don’t have much stuff myself; aside from my phone charger, I just have my clothes and a few cheap outfits I bought with my part-time earnings for change.

Before long, Bai Yu emerged, pushing two enormous suitcases.

“No way, Sister Bai… Are you moving?” I felt like those suitcases would clear out Bai Yu’s whole house.

“Almost done clearing it out.” Bai Yu pushed one of the suitcases in front of me.

“I know, I’ll help you carry it.” I naturally took the suitcase, preparing to be Sister Bai’s porter since I had been mooching at her place for a while.

“No, this suitcase is yours. You carry it. This one is mine; you don’t need to take it, and even if I give it to you, you probably can’t lift it.” Bai Yu said very directly.

“Ah? My suitcase? But…”

I was confused by Sister Bai’s words. I had only stayed here for a few days, and I didn’t have much stuff; besides, I was already holding my belongings. Where did my suitcase come from?

“I said it’s yours, so just carry it. Don’t open it halfway; if it spills out, I won’t help you pack it back.”

“Okay… fine…”

In the end, I was forced to drag this suitcase, not knowing what was inside, though it didn’t feel heavy.

Then I followed Sister Bai out of the house.

One last glance at my original home revealed that it wasn’t far away, yet they hadn’t come to say anything, not even to scold me.

If they had come to yell at me, it would at least mean I still had some value in their eyes, but now it seems they’ve left me to fend for myself.

This is good too; it saves me from changing my SIM card again.

I followed Sister Bai to the bus stop, which goes directly from in front of the house to the station we need to go to, then we can take the high-speed train straight to the Magic Capital.

To be honest, the Magic Capital is quite a famous city, regarded as a first-tier city in this world. The Magic Capital matches well with the Witch Academy; it looks perfect together. I wonder where the Witch Academy is located in the Magic Capital; it seems to be a place where every inch of land is precious.

With a slightly anxious heart, I stepped onto the bus to the Witch Academy with Sister Bai.

This is my first time traveling so far. I shouldn’t say that; that place is no longer my home.

I should say this is my first long trip, and the destination of this journey is my goal.

Even in my previous life, I spent most of my time in a small place, unwilling to venture far from home, and this time, I should thank my parents; their actions pushed me to this point.

Looking out at the scenery from the window, it’s something I have never seen before.

“Xiao Han, what are you thinking about?”

“Nothing… just nothing.”

I shifted my gaze from the window to meet Sister Bai’s eyes.

“Regretting it?”

“What’s there to regret… I have never felt as strongly that what I’m doing is right.”

I said this with certainty. Sometimes, you have to push yourself a bit. When you’re on the road, there’s no energy to think about the difficulties ahead because your sight is captivated by the scenery along the way.

Only when you stop can you hesitate, so… just keep moving forward, right? What could be more awkward than being completely nothing right now?

“Then I wish you good luck.”

Sister Bai looked at me with a determined expression and a hint of an expectant smile on her lips. She didn’t offer further explanation.

Only then did she pull out a phone of a style different from the mainstream designs, seemingly chatting with someone, and the back of the phone displayed the words “Witch Academy.”

After being dazzled by the colorful scenery outside, my sights returned to my phone.

At this moment, I began to feel anxious again, opening my phone and continuously searching for information about the Witch Academy. Unfortunately, there were no relevant details online; it seems the internet is really clean. I couldn’t find any useful information about the Extraordinary Academy at all.

When the admissions office of Witch Academy called, I was stunned—I had been accepted into a school I never imagined I could touch. Yes, I am a boy and it is an all-girls’ academy, but they did not mind, so I saw no reason to object. I had applied secretly, without telling my family, just to take a chance. But as soon as those striking seniors greeted us newcomers—pressing every boy against the wall with a knowing smile—I realized things were about to spin out of control. “Oh, come now, you sweet little freshman,” one of them said smoothly, her voice full of mischief. “Don’t make this difficult for me, your big sis. Swallow this core and transform into a witch like me, alright?” She held the glowing orb before us, half-threatening, half-teasing, almost inviting the new boys to react. It was clear she enjoyed it—the blend of fear and resistance in their expressions. Our unease seemed to be her personal amusement. After all, they only had this opportunity once a year.
