Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School – Chapter 562

Chapter 563 – Enlightenment Meditation Technique

The Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, as Principal Mei described, is aptly named by her.

It’s as if the name was subtly determined by her even before this great spellbook was created, and it served as a guiding objective for the direction she aimed for. She also conveyed this idea through the experiments she recorded.

Wisdom is one of the most important characteristics of life, so deriving from Fool Dream, the “Extraordinary Knowledge” initially selected this most prominent trait, “Wisdom.”

Thus, it was named “Wisdom Enlightenment.”

Moreover, within this, there is a spell known as “Meditation Technique” that has derived from it.

Back when I and Sister Bai entered the Fool Village Secret Realm, we borrowed this spell, which was the initial means of “Wisdom Enlightenment,” albeit a rudimentary one.

But at this moment… combining it with the “Fool Dream Drink Meditation Method” that I modified from Fool Dream.

One of them, the Fool Dream Drink Meditation Method, is a way of self-cultivation.

The other, the Meditation Technique, is the spell used.

Theoretically, these two belong to a cross-domain combination.

However, the Meditation Technique, which I continuously refined, formed the runes that perfect the spellbook… the Fool Dream Drink Meditation Method originates from the runes of Fool Dream… these two unrelated cross-domain combinations have achieved unification in the realm of runes!

At this moment, I realized I was not calculating the process to achieve the goal based on known results. Instead, I was completing a series of “designed” environments through continuous coupling events, constantly evolving unknown elements!

I do not know whether this coincidental discovery of coupling events aligns with my original research objectives, but it no longer seems that important.

After spending some time, I found that I easily completed the unification of the final Meditation Technique with the Fool Dream Drink Meditation Method.

In theory, this is a viable extraordinary means.

This does not resemble a spell; instead, it is more like a ritual of rune combinations, which is akin to a primitive form of spell framework.

So, from a definitional standpoint, this ritual still seems to belong to… spells.

Since it is a spell, it naturally needs a name; thus… I have called it “Enlightenment Meditation Technique.”

This is a spell, not just a meditation method.

Furthermore, after my simple tests, it seems there is a slight threshold for mastering it.

The spell requires Fool Dream to use it.

The reason for this “prerequisite” condition is that it combines the “Fool Dream Drink Meditation Method,” necessitating the corresponding rune rituals for enlightenment obtained from each Fool Dream to use.

There currently are no counterexamples proving whether humans or witches possess such rune rituals.

The emergence of this rune ritual, or its observation, was gained from the insights acquired through the Fool Dream Drink they personally concocted.

Thus, the act of “concocting the Fool Dream Drink” seems to also be viewed as a kind of ritualistic behavior.

Because it accomplishes a specific purpose through a certain action, thus obtaining a corresponding rune enlightenment.

Therefore… if one wants to learn the “Enlightenment Meditation Technique,” it necessitates a rather peculiar prerequisite learning activity: mastering the concoction of the Fool Dream Drink…

However, this does not seem to be an unattainable threshold.

Moreover… as my experience grows, I find that this ritualistic behavior of the Fool Dream Drink is not limited to a specific type of fruit, meaning the raw materials for concocting the Fool Dream Drink have “alternatives,” although this alternative is likely another type of fruit, but that doesn’t matter.

Looking at the results of my “Enlightenment Meditation Technique,” I ultimately organized this process into the Great Knowledge Tree.

This should be an unexpected delight.

It can be considered a byproduct of studying the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, as Teacher Ji once said, researching “Extraordinary Knowledge” and creating a great spellbook would generate many derivative spells, so there’s no need to feel anxious about such things.

Experiencing it firsthand… indeed so.

And the Meditation Technique is not the only derivative spell from the materials provided by Principal Mei; there are many others I haven’t yet encountered, but those spells… are not urgent; I have not fully comprehended the information regarding Meditation Techniques yet.

After finishing all this, I directly sent this research result back, asking the few witch sisters who helped study the Fool Dream Drink Meditation Method to assist with testing. My main goal was to test the compatibility of this spell with Fool Dream and see what effects would arise after Fool Dream was used.

Of course, if those two witch sisters were curious about trying it out, I wouldn’t stop them; after all, they are extraordinary witches and are unlikely to encounter any accidents.

At this moment, I slowly closed the book and put the Box of Books back in its place.

This reading has greatly benefited me, inspired numerous insights, and yielded substantial results, as if this research had lasted an indeterminate number of days.

Soon, the glow of the Great Knowledge Tree appeared before me, with the absolute precision of the date and time provided by the Earth Vein Identification Technique, clearly indicating that I had been reading for an entire day plus a night, and now… it was morning.

Subconsciously, I touched my belly; it seemed that the last meal I had was breakfast, and now… it seemed like it was time for breakfast again.

However, the daily plan cannot be neglected, so I directly hugged the Box of Books as if to rest my eyes.

But in reality, I was meditating.

Meditation is a habit cultivated continuously; it is a daily spiritual practice that cannot be interrupted.

Even half an hour each day is far more beneficial than meditating for four or five hours all at once after a break of four or five days.

After meditating, I stretched slightly and stood up to stretch my body. The auction would start today, and the invited guests had likely gathered by now.

But that did not concern me much; though I did see some interesting extraordinary items and other things during the preview, it did not mean I had to buy anything.

Moreover, my Small Treasury… does not support such extravagant behavior. An auction is where the value of items is converted into the highest possible price; unless something is urgently needed or rare, or purely for satisfying one’s collection desires, generally, I wouldn’t waste extravagantly at an auction.

“I should go eat breakfast first.” I recalled yesterday’s breakfast, which was quite tasty.

Just before I left the book gallery, I spotted Jiao Xiaoshuang at a distance from me.

At this moment, she was breathing evenly and seemed to be sleeping well, but according to my perception of body cultivation, I could easily discern her current physical state.

This perception seems to derive from heart sense; she was currently in light sleep, and with any little noise, she would likely awaken.

How diligent… I wonder what time she went to sleep last night.

Although the fact that her sleep time has shortened with the increase in witch transformation and overall physical quality is a common phenomenon, Jiao Xiaoshuang had gone through quite a bit in the past two days, and taking a short nap in the early morning was nothing unusual.

So… I chose not to wake her but let her continue to sleep a bit longer.

After all, I had no questions regarding this auction; even if there were, I have my own means and channels to gather information.

Previously, I had Jiao Xiaoshuang follow me mainly to avoid trouble from others.

Now, having established my presence, I have unwittingly become somewhat famous, so naturally, nobody would dare to trouble me. The last bit of value Jiao Xiaoshuang had by being near me had dissipated; why would I want the All-purpose Association members watching my every move?

That would be rather uncomfortable.

After leaving the book gallery, I noticed that there were visibly more people outside. Even on the floor where my book gallery was located, I saw several figures passing by.

It was still morning.

“Hiss! S-Sister Xiao Han?”

The young girl I passed by gasped instinctively upon seeing me, as if frightened, then cautiously greeted me.

“Uh huh.” I lightly nodded, without excessive words, acknowledging my identity.

“Good morning, Sister Xiao Han!” After receiving my confirmation, she formally greeted me again.

“Good morning.”

Afterward, I didn’t pay much attention to the girl I had coincidentally encountered and directly moved towards the elevator, planning to check out the dining buffet area.

Although the hotel’s a la carte menu was quite good, most of those items were available in the buffet area, so I naturally chose the most convenient way to enjoy breakfast.

Upon arriving at the dining area, it was already bustling with people.

However, with my arrival, the people present suddenly fell silent.

It was as if an invisible aura around me had caused them to pause their actions, and only after I moved away a distance did they cautiously resume their discussions.

Seeing their reactions, I was surprised that my mere presence could cause such a situation.

It seems I underestimated the impact of my previous battle.

But I did not delve too deeply into it, simply walking into the dining area, where restaurant staff quickly arranged a seat for me upon my entry.

This time, I did not choose the prime window seat as I had before, but a different spot.

Because here, I saw familiar figures.

The elves from Aphhemia, with their golden hair and the uniquely colored highlights between their foreheads, certainly bore the characteristics of the Forest Elves from Aphhemia Academy.

Moreover… I spotted a familiar face among this group of elves.

But now, I surprisingly felt little emotional turbulence regarding it.

If I had previously restrained myself from approaching her, even wanting to avoid direct confrontation upon seeing her.

Now, I could sit here, enjoying my breakfast, utterly nonchalant.

In truth, I still somewhat understood my past self; after all… I had been her boyfriend. Although nothing further happened, I still cherished that relationship.

Back then, I was an ordinary person who had not encountered extraordinary powers, straddling the dual vulnerabilities of my inner self and my physical state, holding on only through the awareness of being a transmigrator.

Thus, I cared deeply about this former deskmate, especially after confirming that relationship…

But who could endure after the college entrance exam, having no contact during the entire holiday, while all at home were trying to persuade me to apply to those prestigious extraordinary academies?

I was under constant familial pressure, only to receive her silent score and the notice of her admission to Aphhemia Academy?

I believe my perspective has been adequately rational, but no one expected me to consider others so rationally; I ought to cherish myself a little more.

Now I understand; the most important thing is still my own happiness. Unfit relationships do not require exerting energy to maintain.

What do we mean by the incompatibility of both parties in a relationship?

Perhaps it’s when both subconsciously try to find excuses and comforts to prove they are not wrong that they become incompatible.

Isn’t this a true reflection of my relationship with her?

As I carefully picked some of my favorite breakfast items and sat down, my presence immediately attracted the attention of some nearby elves.

They curiously tilted their bodies to examine me, then turned around to discuss amongst themselves. However, no matter how quietly they whispered, it was nothing beyond the keen hearing developed from my practice.

I found myself somewhat looking forward to their reactions; they recognized I was one of the two teaching assistants from yesterday’s battle, and they could even call me by name, yet they did not truly recognize me…

From their murmurs… it seemed they wanted to chat with me to see if they could connect in some way, likely hoping to establish a relationship.

Hearing their unguarded conversation, I couldn’t help but shake my head; is information acquisition within Aphhemia Academy that sluggish?

I was one of the proctors at the previous joint examination on Bobapop Islands!

However… I sensed Yao Beijuan was subtly pretending to glance at me frequently.

But once our eyes met, she quickly shifted her gaze to appear uninterested.

Such small thoughts were evident; she was probably suspicious that the name “Yang Yuelan” was not just a coincidence.

But compared to these elves, I found my interest piqued by a young male sitting next to one of the elves.

He… appeared to be an ordinary person, and judging by his attire… he seemed to come from nobility. However, the noble status in this world is somewhat awkward, typically inherited, and relies heavily on one’s efforts, doing poorly is often called a “declining noble.” If one is wealthy, then they come from a long lineage of noble bl**d, essentially gilding themselves; yet this set of values is still appreciated within the common society outside, as competition thrives everywhere.

“Hello, you should be the Xiao Han teacher from Witch Academy, right? I’m a student from Aphhemia Academy. We just arrived here yesterday and heard about your feats. It’s quite a delight to encounter you at such an exquisite time this morning, may I and my sisters sit here and share this breakfast with you?”

“Of course.” I smiled and nodded, showing no coldness.

With my agreement, she excitedly called over her sisters from a short distance to join us.

There were still plenty of seats available where I was, and no one objected to me occupying such a large table for one.

However, just as the noble young man, who was quite familiar with one of the elves, attempted to sit next to me, I frowned.

“Sorry, I noticed that your sitting position was a bit close to mine. I have to remind you, unwanted males in my Witch Academy do not fare well at all; I think we should keep some distance, what do you say?”

My gaze became somewhat unfriendly at that moment. If he were just an ordinary male, I would merely request him not to sit next to me and wouldn’t have shown such attitude out of nowhere. But he seemed to be a player.

Coupled with that middle-aged man I encountered earlier, two players being mixed into this invitation-only auction is indeed perplexing.

“Uh…” The young man, targeted by me, instantly turned pale; it was his first time being rejected so straightforwardly, and hints of disdain could be heard.

However, he quickly adjusted his demeanor, “I apologize for my uninvited presence, my dear miss, there are far too many ordinary encounters in this world; it was my one-sided wish that…”

“Sorry… this is a friend I met yesterday; his behavior has overstepped… I apologize on his behalf.” The elf who had previously been friendly with this player promptly pulled him aside, interrupting his words and seating him as far from me as possible.

I naturally showed no further reaction; I thought she would directly send him away, given how obvious my attitude was, yet she chose to prioritize an ordinary person… oh well—

I wouldn’t mind; after all, having a player here would be amusing in itself.

When the admissions office of Witch Academy called, I was stunned—I had been accepted into a school I never imagined I could touch. Yes, I am a boy and it is an all-girls’ academy, but they did not mind, so I saw no reason to object. I had applied secretly, without telling my family, just to take a chance. But as soon as those striking seniors greeted us newcomers—pressing every boy against the wall with a knowing smile—I realized things were about to spin out of control. “Oh, come now, you sweet little freshman,” one of them said smoothly, her voice full of mischief. “Don’t make this difficult for me, your big sis. Swallow this core and transform into a witch like me, alright?” She held the glowing orb before us, half-threatening, half-teasing, almost inviting the new boys to react. It was clear she enjoyed it—the blend of fear and resistance in their expressions. Our unease seemed to be her personal amusement. After all, they only had this opportunity once a year.
