Chapter 838: I’m not sure, but I’m willing to believe!
This way allowed me to better understand the Great Spellbook while also giving me an additional layer of understanding about the power of Self-Awakened Body Cultivation.
Not only the Great Knowledge Tree, but before understanding it, there was an even more important concept of “Extraordinary Knowledge” that I needed to grasp.
That is the Grand Wisdom Enlightenment Spell referred to as “sacred object” by Fool Dream!
If the Great Knowledge Tree represents “plant growth,” then what does the Grand Wisdom Enlightenment Spell represent?
Is it pure “wisdom”?
Or perhaps… “enlightenment”?
It seems neither term is quite accurate.
These two concepts are quite apt descriptors for the Grand Wisdom Enlightenment Spell in the Great Spellbook, but from my interactions with Fool Dream, the essence and nature of “Extraordinary Knowledge” seems to diverge from that.
It subtly leans more toward… life.
Yes, to me, whether it is “wisdom,” “enlightenment,” or even “dream,” or “soul,” all of this constantly directs a certain concept toward life!
And what is that concept?
To me, it is Fool Dream!
Does such “Extraordinary Knowledge” truly exist, existing solely to become life?
I’m not sure, but I’m willing to believe!
Just like the Great Knowledge Tree! I am unwilling to accept that it is merely a botanical spell, but rather a higher conceptual existence.
Thus… for the first time, I entertained the thought of dismantling the Grand Wisdom Enlightenment Spell from the Great Spellbook.
Because I realized that the framework of the Grand Wisdom Enlightenment Spell has pinned this “Extraordinary Knowledge” down; under its definition, concept, and ideology, it is incapable of achieving what I hope for.
Perhaps this idea sounds too arrogant to other Extraordinary Witches; after all, what kind of confidence allows one to claim that a uniquely witch-related extraordinary technique like a Great Spellbook has restricted the development of “Extraordinary Knowledge”?
Remember, the existence of a Great Spellbook is a miracle each time it is born, the culmination of countless hours, energy, knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration from extraordinary witches.
But the more stubborn that concept is, the more I want to break it, just like how I love to tackle tasks that no one else dares to touch.
What I want to say is… some extraordinary knowledge is destined to be unsuitable as a Great Spellbook!
Just as the Void has never stipulated that the ultimate destination of “Extraordinary Knowledge” must be a Great Spellbook.
How one explores the extraordinary is how the extraordinary will respond to that person.
The value of this statement continues to rise.
As Sister Bai allowed me to stay a bit longer in Fool Village to “lay low,” I gradually slowed down my research pace.
What I was doing was repetitive and tedious, which couldn’t ignite my passion for exploration.
So I planned to balance work and rest, combining them in another way.
And that way was… to engage more closely with those Fool Dreams.
From a rational standpoint, the “Extraordinary Knowledge” of the Grand Wisdom Enlightenment Spell is closely related to Fool Dreams because I believe it serves as a medium guiding them toward life.
From an emotional perspective, I am the sage respected by Fool Dreams, beloved by them, and a great existence providing them shelter, so how could I bear to distance myself from them?
As I increasingly appeared in Fool Village, my image as a sage, which had previously only existed in “rumors,” was constantly imprinted in the sight of Fool Dreams.
At first, Fool Dreams were a bit nervous about my presence, even excited, and found it unbelievable.
Until I played with them in the garden, catching butterflies that fluttered in the dream world with my own hands, and having a wonderful time.
Until I picked mushrooms on the mountain with Fool Dreams after the rain, distinguishing the vibrant mushrooms that would make one dizzy if eaten in a dream, and then went down the mountain to share a large pot of mushroom soup that everyone cooked together.
Until I arrived at the orchard and helped Fool Dreams tend to their fruits and vegetables, spraying mist under the sunshine to introduce them to the brilliant rainbows they had never seen before, which added another picturesque scene to Fool Village.
Until I helped Fool Dreams mix Fool Dream Drink at the banquet, exchanging flavors, and they straightforwardly expressed that the sage seemed like a big Fool Dream, bringing them a joy quite different from before.
Yes… what I found novel, they experienced day after day; perhaps this is the joy they understood.
Was all of this considered the sage’s idleness?
No… I don’t think so. I just think I haven’t spent enough time with Fool Dreams, and I don’t understand them well enough.
Many things are indescribable with words; likewise, many matters cannot be resolved through profit. Meaning is merely what one assigns, just as all the Fool Dreams in Fool Village do not see my actions as idleness because they do not understand what idleness is.
Actively participating in a wonderful life— is that not normal?
In contrast, my previous actions of severing connections with the outside world under the guise of research are what they struggle to comprehend.
And such “daily life” finally came to a brief end when the village head approached me personally.
“Village head? Is there something you need to discuss with me?” I stood up and looked at the village head, then excused myself to the nearby Fool Dreams.
Regarding this village head, I had some special understanding.
As a guardian of the Dream World Scroll, she possesses a “maturity” that other Fool Dreams do not have; she has stepped out of the original framework of these Fool Dreams and entered into a greater framework.
If other Fool Dreams are like simple, easy-to-understand stories in the Dream World Scroll, painting warm and cozy scenes, then this village head… is the lonely watcher atop the Starlight Tower, the only one awake in the entire Fool Village.
And she narrates this as “the responsibilities of the village head,” but does she truly understand what “responsibility” represents as a Fool Dream?
So when the village head came to me, I instinctively thought she would be curious if I was fulfilling the sage’s duty of leading Fool Dreams to become true life.
But I found… I still overthought her.
The village head’s maturity is grounded in a vast memory and an understanding of the truth, yet aside from that, she is still just a Fool Dream.
“Honored Sage… an anomaly has occurred in the Fool Village atop the Starlight Tower.”
“Anomaly?” I was somewhat taken aback by the village head’s cautious words. Could there be some situation in the Primordial Dream World again?
But I had learned from Sister Bai through the Great Knowledge Tree that the turmoil in the Primordial Dream World was indeed diminishing.
“Then I’ll accompany you to take a look.” To err on the side of caution, I ultimately decided to check it out; I wouldn’t let my guard down in the face of anything that could threaten Fool Village.
After bidding farewell to the nearby Fool Dreams I had played with, I followed the village head to the location of the Starlight Tower.
……
Primordial Dream World.
A consciousness drifting in the Primordial Dream World gradually solidified into a figure, and although the outline was somewhat blurry, it still couldn’t hide the fatigue on her face.
Lost in the Primordial Dream World, she had completely lost her anchor to time; she no longer knew how long she had been here. Perhaps… even if she did, it would hold no significance because, in the Primordial Dream World, even the concept of time had been distorted.
Or rather, what had been distorted was consciousness, and consciousness is the anchor for sensing the flow of time.
Whether time moves too fast or too slowly, both can exponentially consume a person’s perception and energy.
“My name… is… Aina Turs.”
The witch who introduced herself as Aina Turs muttered such words. As an extraordinary witch wandering in the Soul Great Topic, this was not her first exploration of the Primordial Dream World.
So she had summarized a very simple yet effective method of stabilizing her consciousness in the Primordial Dream World.
That was to call her own name, which could strengthen her self-awareness in the Primordial Dream World and prevent her from being “assimilated” by it.
At this moment, it was difficult for her to determine whether she had become lost in the Primordial Dream World; she had underestimated the terror brought by this dream disaster.
In this vast Primordial Dream World, she encountered a kind of “dream order” that she had never seen before—it seemed like a miracle to her!
Moreover, there were a multitude of unusual dream creatures, like schools of fish in the deep sea.
If there wasn’t some special “food” here, it would be impossible to attract so many dream creatures to gather in this place.
And these dream creatures also brought her great distress.
If these guys appeared in reality, she could wave her hand and annihilate them!
But here in the Primordial Dream World, she could only rely on her soul essence and the Soul Dream to evade the rush of so many dream creatures.
What shocked her the most was the continuous “stairway”!
It wound from the depths of the Primordial Dream World, like an invitation from the Abyss.
And it was this stairway that built an order which dream creatures could not surpass in this chaotic dream, and she had been constantly deepening into the Primordial Dream World via this stairway, arriving here.
She marched forward toward that stairway, having fallen from it more than once; it had become her anchor in this Primordial Dream World.
She had countless opportunities to turn back, taking the path up the stairway to return to reality, but she still chose to plunge forward recklessly.
Because she was very curious about what lay at the end of the stairway.
Not just her—several other sisters also entered the Primordial Dream World with her.
It wasn’t just them; she also saw in a higher layer many powerless consciousnesses drifting away in the Primordial Dream World.
These consciousnesses lacked the essence of a soul; they were simply awareness caught in the Primordial Dream World, so their identities went without saying.
They were the students pushed into the Primordial Dream World by the Extraordinary Academy.
Perhaps people in the outside world thought they might still have a chance to “survive,” but she, who had delved deep into the Primordial Dream World, understood there was no opportunity left.
When the dream creatures ruthlessly destroyed their consciousness, their essence would disintegrate at the moment of consciousness dispersal. They wouldn’t even have time to enter the Expanding Realm’s earth vein soul material cycle before being devoured by the dream creatures.
The dream creatures in the Primordial Dream World are not like the harmless ones in shallow dream worlds.
They are the most merciless devourers!
They tear apart those soul materials filled with memories and emotions, converting them to fuel for their growth.
To avoid the risks in the Primordial Dream World, Aina had no choice but to navigate to the upper levels for better access to that anchoring stairway.
“Is that you, Aina?”
In the silent Primordial Dream World, such a call suddenly emerged, and then she felt a resonance from her soul.
“Yes… it’s you.” Aina locked onto the few figures following that anchored voice.
This is the Primordial Dream World, where concepts of direction and space are so muddled; if it weren’t for that call acting as a perceptual anchor, Aina might not have even noticed the figures standing on the stairway.
“It’s really you, Aina… were you just lost in the Primordial Dream World?”
“Yeah… the situation here is too dangerous. If it weren’t for my soul essence and this stairway as an anchor, I might have really become lost here.”
“Then how about we explore together?”
“Together?”
“What? Did you give up your spirit of exploration and plan to return to reality?”
“Haha… how could that be? That’s exactly my intention!” Aina chuckled softly, her head lowered; how could she possibly retreat here?
And just as these three witches intended to continue delving deeper into the Primordial Dream World due to their shared pursuits, one of them suddenly noticed something unusual.
“Wait… what is that?” She pointed toward the depths where the stairway continued, as if she had seen an incredible existence.
Aina followed her gaze towards the end of the stairway.
Originally, when they “looked” in that direction, it felt as if it were an abyss; the longer they gazed, the more they would feel as if their souls were being assimilated by the Primordial Dream World.
But at this moment, they discovered that the previously unreachable end seemed to gradually reveal its scenery.
Yet all of this wasn’t because they sought it out, but that the indescribable existence was continuously approaching them!
“Is that… the ruins within the dream?”
“Why… does it look like a complete city to me?”
“Why does it look like an entire world?!”
Clearly, in the Primordial Dream World, where concepts of space and distance do not exist, the stairway shaped a comprehensible order, thus deriving the concept of distance anchored by the stairway.
And now… this stairway seemed to be leading that vast unknowable entity coming from the depths of the Primordial Dream World.
Along with that unknowable entity arrived even more violent and terrifying dream creatures!
They coalesced into a colossal tide of dream creatures, bringing a shock to the three extraordinary witches like they had never seen before.
Wherever that vast unknowable entity went, the Primordial Dream World shattered before it, and endless information restructured for it.
In a dazed state, they glimpsed golden chains wrapping around that massive being, which resembled a world, continuously rising towards the boundaries of reality.
Upon seeing all this, they seemed to understand the culprit behind this dream disaster.
The instigator stirring everything within the Primordial Dream World was this dream world before them…
“Beware! Prepare for possible disorientation…”
Before Aina could deliver her final warning to her companions, she was engulfed in the chaotic tide of dream creatures.
What sort of scene was that?
In the Primordial Dream World, an indefinable dream world resisted the endless dream creatures, anchored by the stairway, rushing towards the place called reality.
And Aina’s final “sight” remained at this moment; she felt herself falling into an endless scroll, but the golden chains blocked her form…
