Chapter 100: Use Seduction on Her
“Beauty… seduction?”
The dark shadows dissipated, stirring up layers of swirling vortices, and even the voice of the Shadow Servant became somewhat stammering.
He had envisioned countless plans to subvert Paradise, some methodical and steady… others relatively bold, aiming for a decisive victory in one go.
But he never expected that his Captain would actually utter such a term.
The Shadow Servant instinctively looked up, wanting to see in what mental state Rast was when he said this—had he been tainted by some indescribable thing?
Or had he simply misheard and confused a similar-sounding word for “beauty seduction”?
However, the boy before him still maintained a serene expression.
He was flipping through the intelligence report under the light, his eyes clear, as if bright stars were submerged at the bottom of a lake.
There was no sign of taint whatsoever.
“Um, beauty seduction, is there a problem?”
“That’s a being who wields the rules of d*ath, and can approach the realm of legend in their home ground.”
“To completely k*ll her, it’s not something that can be done with methods like long-range sniping.”
“What we can rely on is only this—”
Suddenly, a crimson-gold dagger appeared in Rast’s hand.
Within the dagger’s body, the scorching sunlight seemed to solidify into a physical entity.
The Shadow Servant recognized this dagger, seemingly forged from molten gold; it was a disposable weapon that Guardian Leader Cecil had spent nearly all his strength to condense, weakening him for half a month after its completion.
At the same time, this was also the organization’s strongest trump card for their squad’s operation.
“As long as you find an opportunity to stab with this dagger, even a being close to legend will suffer severe injuries.”
“And as for the opportunity for close combat…”
“What precise plan could allow one to approach the target seamlessly, gain their trust, and then strike them dead more easily than using beauty seduction?”
Rast toyed with the dagger in his hand, smiling faintly: “It is said that in ancient times, there was an assassin who attempted to k*ll the king of the most powerful kingdom on the continent.”
“When the sword hidden within the map uncoiled, its blade’s rainbow light pierced the sun in the sky, creating a phenomenon later referred to as ‘White Rainbow Piercing the Sun’.”
He flipped through the intelligence report: “I think combining Cecil’s dagger—a legend’s full power—should also be able to achieve something similar.”
This time, the Shadow Servant heard clearly; he hadn’t misheard. It was indeed the term “beauty seduction.”
“But… I…”
The Shadow Servant instinctively opened his mouth to object, only to find himself momentarily unable to refute.
Although it sounded somewhat absurd.
If he wanted to strike down that queen in one blow, this was precisely the most fitting and least sacrificial method.
The only question remaining was…
Who in the squad would execute this plan?
Such thoughts had just risen.
When the Shadow Servant’s gaze fell on the face of the boy before him, he instantly got the answer.
“According to the intelligence report, that Queen of the Underworld seems to be inherently powerful, endowed with the relics of the God of d*ath, wielding the Authority of d*ath.”
“This type of naturally strong female leader…”
“Would more easily fall for someone who could incite her desire for conquest.”
There was a hint of contemplation in Rast’s words.
In the next moment, the Shadow Servant felt the boy’s aura abruptly change.
The previous calm and mysterious demeanor disappeared, replaced by a wild and untamed spirit.
Like a lone wolf driven away by a pack, wandering in the wilderness.
Yet beneath that fierce and unruly aura lay something fragile, akin to glass, stirring an instinctual desire to protect.
What species is my captain? A shape-shifter, or a succubus?
But there are no male succubi in the known groups, right?
As a sixth-level Guardian, the Shadow Servant had encountered many beings in his years of campaigns with Leader Cecil, gaining much experience.
He had seen legendary creatures deep in the ocean, as well as avatars of Evil Gods.
But looking at Rast, who sat at the long table, with the crimson-gold dagger fluttering in his fingers like a butterfly, the Shadow Servant felt a cold sweat run down his back.
After a long silence, the Shadow Servant finally followed Rast’s train of thought.
Among the existing sixth levels in the headquarters, he was relatively the least strong-willed and the most willing to cooperate with others.
Perhaps this was also the reason why Cecil chose to have the Shadow Servant reassigned as Vice Captain.
“Captain, I have one last question.”
“What question… about my withdrawal?”
“Since you are a Guardian, you should be clear that the moment we wore the Wing Emblem and recited the oath, we all prepared ourselves for the possibility of heroic sacrifice.”
Rast’s tone was calm: “Sacrificing me alone, or putting the entire team in danger…”
“You should distinguish the priorities.”
“Whether to sacrifice the innocent few to save the majority… this trolley problem has never been worth pondering for Guardians; it has had a mandated answer all along.”
“If one day I become the innocent one tied to the tracks, I hope you won’t hesitate for a moment when pulling the lever.”
Upon hearing this, the Shadow Servant’s expression also became solemn.
Earlier, he was merely respectful on the surface due to the Leader’s orders and Rast’s Captain status, coupled with his own personality.
But at this moment, the Shadow Servant suddenly realized—
This seemingly young boy, whose aura was not particularly strong, contained within him… a noble consciousness that was not inferior to any Guardian.
No wonder Cecil chose him, someone who was not particularly outstanding in various aspects, as the Captain for this Paradise operation.
And no wonder Captain Rast could propose a plan like beauty seduction so calmly.
This was because in his heart, compared to the fate of civilization and the creed of Guardians, personal reputation was truly insignificant.
“However, Captain Rast…”
The Shadow Servant willingly referred to him as such: “What I mean is not the matter of withdrawal, but another matter.”
“The Queen of the Underworld, she does not favor men.”
“As a ruler, she wouldn’t even choose her own consort… within her palace in the Royal City, there are only a few maidservants; not a single male is allowed to enter.”
The dark shadows flickered, and the Shadow Servant tentatively glanced at the boy before him.
“According to the analysis based on limited information from the intelligence department.”
“It seems she isn’t interested in the opposite s*x…”
“Or rather—”
The Shadow Servant seemed to have made some kind of association, as the black mist-like shadows surged, covering what seemed to be his eyes.
“In order to use beauty seduction on her.”
“Captain Rast, you might need to disguise yourself as a girl.”

PS: I overindulged on New Year’s Eve and forgot to update.
I originally wanted to quickly write a chapter to make up for it, but I was busy all day on the first day of the New Year and could only find time to update in the evening. My apologies to all the readers.
However, after the New Year, I should have some spare time and will try to add more to make up for it.
